The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 788

Chapter 788

With that, Rosalie turned to leave.

However, before she could take a step, her wrist was grabbed by a hand, and then she spun around. She was dragged to the bed harshly, and her back hit the bed heavily.

Before she could get up, Jonathan’s body had already leaned over.

His hands rested on both sides of her body, and his face was very close to hers. His breath caressed her face, and there seemed to be an uncontrollable rage in his black eyes. “What? When I didn’t want to talk with you just now, you insisted on talking with me. Now I want to talk with you, but you’re just going to leave?”

“I just want you to calm down.” Rosalie struggled to get up.

However, he held her down and made her unable to get up at all.

“Jon, let me get up first.” Rosalie frowned. At that moment, they were very close to each other, and his anger made her feel a sense of danger.

“I’m calm,” Jonathan said, the tip of his nose almost touching hers.

The closer he got to her, the more he could feel her breath, which could easily mesmerize him. He wondered, “What is wrong with me? Why would I get so worked up over her? Is it because I mind her past with Calvin?”

“Don’t fall in love with Calvin. Do you hear me?” His voice sounded cold as if it was a warning.

She held her breath. “I’ve never fallen in love with him!”

“So, you’re trying to say that the person you’re in love with is me, right?” he murmured expressionlessly.

“Yes.” She met his gaze without the slightest hint of avoidance.

“Even if I don’t love you, you will always love me and won’t fall in love with others?”

She was stunned. This was the second time she heard him say he didn’t love her. Her heart still ached after she heard it again.

The man had once knelt in front of her and said that he would give everything and all his feelings to her.

“You will fall in love with me.” Rosalie’s nose stung a little.

“Why?” Jonathan asked with amusement. “Just because I once loved you? That I loved you very much just as you said to your daughter?”

She was silent and stared at him in a daze. After a while, she said, “If I told you that there was a time when you loved me so deeply that you would have given up your own life for me, that you were willing to defy all norms for my sake, that you set aside all your pride just for me, would you believe it?”

He stared at her, his thin lips pressed into a straight line.

Rosalie laughed at herself. She knew that he didn’t believe it. After all, he didn’t have much feelings for her now.

She raised her hands and pressed them against his chest, trying to push him away so that she could get up easily. “Well, I’ve said everything I need to say. It’s up to you whether you choose to believe it or not…” Before Rosalie could finish her words, he suddenly kissed her. Rosalie was stunned.

“He’s… kissing me?” she exclaimed inwardly.

The strong and domineering kiss made her feel trapped.

She couldn’t get used to it for a moment.

“He doesn’t believe what I said, but he’s kissing me. What does this even mean?” she wondered.

She wanted to end the kiss, but he wouldn’t let her.

Jonathan didn’t stop until Rosalie felt out of breath.

There seemed to be something flashing in his dark eyes. “You don’t believe I love you that much?” he asked in a hoarse voice.

Rosalie was panting. Her face turned red because of the kiss just now, “What about you? Do you love me?” His voice continued to ring in her

ears.

Her body suddenly stiffened as if she was giving him some kind of -answer silently.

His eyelashes trembled slightly, and he closed his eyes. The air seemed to freeze for a moment.

Rosalie bit her lip. At that moment, she could feel the changes in his body. His breath grew heavier than usual, and even his breathing pattern became somewhat erratic.

When he opened his eyes again, there was a trace of coldness in his eyes.

“If you don’t love me that much, then don’t say anything like how much I once loved you and how much you will love me.”

Having said that, Jonathan was about to stand up straight.

Inexplicably, Rosalie had a feeling that if she left without doing anything at this time, she would regret it in the future.

She put her hands around his neck and stopped him from getting up.

“I love you,” she said hurriedly.

His body stiffened, and he looked at her in surprise.

“If you’ve forgotten, then let me tell you how much you used to love me, and how much I love you!” She took a deep breath and kissed him.

When the kiss ended, he stared at her. “Do you know what you were doing?” His voice was hoarse, and his hands were clenched into fists. “I know,” Rosalie said. “Jon, I love you so much. I really do.”

And now, she wanted to tell him this clearly.

His eyes were bright and cold, yet beautiful at the same time.

“Rosalie, you know, after you say these words, there is no more room for regret,” he said in a husky voice as if he was giving her the last warning. She looked at him infatuatedly, just as back then she would always be awed by his beauty.

“I have no intention of going back on my word,” she murmured.
