Calvin gently stroked Jennifer’s head and straightened up again. He then looked at Rosalie with his dark eyes. ” Rosalie, you are still alive, but why haven’t I heard anything from you in the past five years? Do you know how painful it was when I thought you were dead and saw the Youngblood family hold a funeral for you?”
Calvin had even gone to the beach where Rosalie fell into the sea and had thoughts of just jumping in and being with her.
“I’m sorry for making you worry,” Rosalie said.
Calvin’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He looked at Rosalie, his eyes red. “I’m glad that you’re alive…”
Calvin wanted to raise his hand, touch her, and make sure that Rosalie was alive and that it was not his illusion or imagination.

Calvin’s expression shifted slightly when he saw the rejection in Rosalie’s eyes. Suddenly, he felt bitter. “Is it because of Jonathan?”
“Yes,” Rosalie replied without hesitation. “I am Jon’s wife. He is also the man I love the most.”
Calvin burst into laughter, but he sounded sad. “It’s been five years. I heard nothing from you for five years and you never came back. Do you really love Jonathan? If you love him, why didn’t you come back earlier?” Rosalie took a deep breath and said, “I have my reasons, but no matter how many years it has been, I still love Jon and will return to him. Calvin, you shouldn’t continue to waste your time on me. It’s not worth it and there is no need for this.”
A trace of pain flashed through Calvin’s eyes. “It’s not up to you to decide if it’s worth it or not, and I know better than anyone whether there is a need for this or not.”
Rosalie knew that Calvin had always been persistent. Otherwise, Calvin wouldn’t have been looking for her for so many years because of a promise made when he was a child.

Calvin stood there blankly and mused, ” Rosalie only loves Jonathan? But does she know that I only love her?”
Calvin suddenly rushed forward and grabbed Rosalie’s other arm to stop her from leaving. “You love Jonathan, huh? But do you know if he loves you? You know, Jonathan said to me that he didn’t love you at all!”
Rosalie’s expression changed slightly, and she covered Jennifer’s ear. She didn’t want Jennifer to hear these words. “Calvin, stop it. No matter what you say, my answer will not change…”
“Rosalie, Jonathan doesn’t love you. Even if you’re back now, do you think he will still have the same feelings for you as before? A black Bentley had stopped beside them. Jonathan was standing in front of the car, looking at Rosalie and Calvin coldly.

away.
Jennifer grabbed Rosalie’s hand tightly and refused to leave, so Rosalie had no choice but to say, “Jen, good girl. Daddy and I and Mr. Gunner have something to talk about. Can you follow this man to the house first?”

Calvin was so obsessed with Rosalie, and Rosalie believed that Calvin had a sincere heart for her. Nevertheless, Rosalie’s heart could no longer make room for Calvin.
