Chapter 770
Jonathan pondered, “This face and the one I’ve seen on my marriage certificate… looked similar. And what did this little girl call me? Daddy?”
For a moment, Jonathan and Jennifer stared at each other.
At that moment, not only was Jonathan shocked, but so was Carlos. He looked blankly at Jennifer who holding Jonathan. Carlos mentally remarked, “Oh my goodness! This girl is like a little version of Rosalie! But now that I look closely, she seems to resemble Mr. Youngblood. Could it be this little girl…”
At that moment, Jennifer suddenly frowned and turned to look in Rosalie’s direction. “Mommy, didn’t you say Daddy would like me very much? Why didn’t Daddy hug me? Did Daddy really like Mommy back then? And he even cried for Mommy, right?”
Jennifer began to have serious doubts about what Rosalie had told her.
The people around Rosalie were sweating profusely, but Rosalie did not answer Jennifer and just stared at Jonathan.
Although Rosalie could not remember why she had left Jonathan and was “dead” in Strico, she remembered how they had fallen in love and married. Rosalie had promised she would give Jonathan a home and never leave him.
Rosalie’s eyes welled up with tears, and she walked toward Jonathan step by step. The scenes between them from the past flashed in her mind one after another.
Rosalie recalled the first time she had taken Jonathan to her rental home and cooked pasta for him. When she had been sold to Chris by her relatives, Jonathan rushed to town in the middle of the night to save her. When she was pregnant, Jonathan said, “Let’s get married.”
Jonathan also said, “Rosalie, don’t ever leave me.”
Rosalie had agreed, but she still left Jonathan for five years. At that moment, Rosalie finally stood before Jonathan. Every step she took was difficult.
“Jon, I’m back.” Rosalie’s voice sounded like she was sobbing. She raised her hand. and gently stroked Jonathan’s cheek.
Rosalie’s hand touched Jonathan’s slightly cold cheek. It was his temperature. Jonathan was her love and the man who loved her the most.
No one in the world would love Rosalie more than Jonathan.
Jonathan frowned slightly, subconsciously wanting to avoid Rosalie’s touch. After all, he was not used to being touched by others. Rosalie’s appearance before him. also made him suspicious.
However, when Rosalie called “Jon”, Jonathan suddenly stiffened and let her hand touch his cheek.
That warm feeling made Jonathan feel familiar. His body even seemed to be

instinctively longing for that feeling.
As for the others around them, they all watched the scene in shock.
Agyness’s expression darkened as she pondered, “Mr. Youngblood let someone touch his face. What is the relationship between this woman and him? What’s happening? Why didn’t he push this woman away? He even allowed her to touch him like that!”
It was difficult for Agyness to get close to Jonathan. Once, she had deliberately worn a seductive nightgown and found an opportunity to approach Jonathan. She had taken a charming posture and wanted to seduce him.
Back then, before she could touch Jonathan, he had said coldly, “I don’t like people touching me casually. If you dare, you won’t be able to use your hand
tomorrow.”
Jonathan’s tone had been casual, but his words had been gruesome, sending shivers down the spine.
Back then, Jonathan had not even looked at her. Instead, he lowered his head and read the document in his hand as if he had not even bothered to look at her.
Agyness had naturally dared not to risk with her hand. After all, she had known that a man like Jonathan was a man of his word.
A man like Jonathan was too arrogant and indifferent as if no one could get close to him.
However, Rosalie approached Jonathan. She even put her hand on Jonathan’s face in public. Agyness was jealous and shocked, but she waited for Rosalie’s hand to be cut off.
What shocked Agyness even more was when Carlos exclaimed “Mrs. Youngblood!” Agyness was instantly stunned. She wondered, “Mrs. Youngblood? Who is Carlos calling? Hasn’t Mr. Youngblood’s wife already dead?”
All of a sudden, Agyness shivered and remembered that this “Rosalie” had the same name as Jonathan’s deceased wife.
“Could it be that Mrs. Youngblood is…” Agyness pondered. Her eyes widened. She had only been shocked before, but now she felt like she was going to faint. The color on her face quickly faded.
Agyness said to herself, “No, this woman can’t be Mr. Youngblood’s wife!”
Rosalie looked at Carlos and said, “Mr. Gibson, it’s been a while!” It was like responding to Carlos’s greeting earlier.
The people around them took a deep breath. Although they had different thoughts, they seemed to be completely shocked.
Carlos looked at Rosalie with excitement. The miracle they had expected so many
times had come true five years later. “You’re not dead. You’re still alive!”
Rosalie responded, “Yes, I’m not dead. What happened back then…”

Halfway through her words, she suddenly felt a pain in her wrist. Jonathan had grabbed her wrist. She turned around and was immediately stunned by those deep, beautiful eyes.
Jonathan’s gaze was all over Rosalie, creating a strong sense of oppression.
“Who are you?” The cold voice came from his thin lips.
Rosalie bit her lip and said, “I’m Rosalie Leighton.”
“Who exactly are you?” Jonathan stared at her as if trying to see through her. Rosalie met Jonathan’s gaze and repeated, “I am your wife, Jon. Don’t you recognize me after five years? Have you ever thought of me in the last five years?” Rosalie had forgotten about Jonathan for five years. She continued, “I’m sorry I’ve made you wait for five years. If I could have remembered you earlier, we could have reunited sooner.” Fortunately, Rosalie did remember him. Five years was not too long. They could have many more years together in the future. Jonathan fixed his gaze on the familiar face before him, the face that once adorned their marriage certificate. When he heard Rosalie’s words “I could have remembered you earlier”, a voice echoed in his mind, saying, “If I could have met you earlier, if I had known, I would have fallen in love with you. I would never have let you suffer so much, and I would never have been so cold and
indifferent…”
