The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 711

Chapter 711

It was just that he couldn’t believe the answer.

Once he believed it, it would be a disaster for him.

If Amelia was really the one who donated her bone marrow to him… “What have I done to her over the years?”

He had deliberately approached her, made her fall in love with him, and then retaliated against her. He appeared in court to testify against her, sent her to prison, and even competed for custody of Aiden after she gave birth.

The thought of everything he did made his body tremble.

Mired in shock, Warren sat on the couch in the presidential suite, leaving himself in darkness without the lights on.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

He was jolted back to his senses by it.

The doorbell continued ringing again and again.

Warren raised his hand, wiped his face, and opened the door.

Outside the door was a man in a black suit.

“Mr. York, Mrs. Youngblood asked me to give you this,” said the man.

Warren was stunned. “Mrs. Youngblood?”

“It’s Ms. Rosalie Leighton,” the man clarified.

Warren was shocked. “Rosalie… has married Jonathan? Is that why she’s being referred to as Mrs. Youngblood?”

However, he didn’t care about the relationship between Rosalie and Jonathan. All he cared about was… “What does she want by giving me this?” He looked at the flash drive handed over by the man.

“There are two audio files in it. Mrs. Youngblood said that you would be interested in them, Mr. York,” the man said.

Warren was shocked and took the flash drive in his hand.

“Audio files that I’m interested in. Could it be…” Warren looked at the flash drive in his hand in shock as his hands shook violently.

After the man left, Warren turned on the light and frantically brought out his laptop.

It was just a simple action, but he hesitated for a long time before finally pressing the power button. When he wanted to insert the flash drive into the port, his hand, shook more and more violently, so much so that the USB flash drive fell from his hand to the ground.

Warren fixed his eyes on the black flash drive that landed on the carpet. He knew

he was afraid of hearing the fact that would upend his life.

Nevertheless, no matter how scared he was, he still wanted to hear it.

He wanted to hear the voice he never heard before.

Warren took a deep breath, bent down, picked up the flash drive, and inserted it into the port again. This time, he finally plugged in smoothly.

The laptop showed two audio files on the flash drive.

He clicked one of them first, and a doctor’s voice rang out. “Are you Ms. Irene Fletcher? We are the doctors from the bone marrow bank…”

The doctor’s voice came out on the phone. After the doctor explained the purpose of the call, a voice familiar to Warren finally sounded. It belonged to Irene.

Irene said, “I’m sorry. I don’t want to donate any bone marrow. I had registered in the bone marrow bank just for fun back then.”

“But there is a young man waiting for you to save his life by donating your bone marrow. As long as you rest for a period of time, you can recover without much side effects…”

The doctor was trying hard to persuade her, saying all kinds of good words.

However, Irene was firm in her refusal. “I don’t want to donate my bone marrow. This man’s fate has nothing to do with me. Do I have to donate just because my bone marrow matches him? You guys are so ridiculous. What if something happens to me after I donate? Who will be responsible for my health? You or that poor wretched man who’s waiting for his bone marrow?”

Every word Irene said made Warren’s face darker.

It turned out that at that time, for Irene, it was just an insignificant thing. He was just a poor wretched man waiting for her bone marrow to save his life.

“Ms. Fletcher, will you not consider it anymore? After all, this man is still very young and has a long life ahead of him…”

“I’m warning you, don’t call me again or I will sue the bone marrow bank for moral blackmail!” Irene sounded annoyed.

Then the phone was hung up, and a beep came from the audio file.

Warren stared at the computer screen intently before breaking into sudden laughter. Irene once said that even if there was a phone record, it could only be Rosalie who asked someone to pretend to speak in her voice.

“But… was the voice just now really fake?”

He had been with Irene for so many years that he could instantly recognize it. Even in this audio clip, she could be heard raising the pitch at the end of the sentence, which was a habit of hers.

The audio clip had abruptly destroyed the image of Irene he had created in his mind for many years.

‘Perhaps the Irene in the audio file is the real one.

And the Irene in my mind is just a creation of my imagination, which I had subconsciously painted a beautiful picture of.

Perhaps my assumption that she was the one who donated bone marrow to save my life made me have a good impression of her.

But now, I have learned the truth!’ Warren thought.

Warren’s eyes fell on the other audio file on the screen, and his fingers trembled again. After a while, he finally clicked to play it.

When Amelia’s voice echoed from the audio call, his body stiffened in an instant as he seemingly held his breath.

“Really? Am I a match? It’s a surprise, but it also feels like destiny. There are so many people in this world and plenty of blood types. Since my bone marrow can coincidentally be used by that person, of course, I’m willing to save him.”

The crisp yet melodious voice readily agreed.

“You’re willing to do it? Really?” The doctor who called was obviously stunned by her eagerness.

“Yeah. Otherwise, why would I register in the bone marrow bank? When I registered, I had already made up my mind.”

“That’s great.

I want to thank you on behalf of the patient! Anyway, because you’re donating your bone marrow, you’ll need to make a series of preparations in advance, such as injections. And when you extract the bone marrow, there may be some pain and discomfort…”

“I know. When I registered, I understood the procedures involved. It won’t be a problem. I’m fine with enduring pain! If it fails the first time, I can donate another two or three more times to save the patient.”

Her clear voice was full of sincerity and kindness.
