Chapter 668
“This is my business, Warren. As long as you agree to these two things, I’ll give you Aiden’s custody,” she said, stepping back, creating distance between them.
“Since you consider Aiden a burden, why do you need three months? I can take Aiden with me right now,” he said.
“No!” she screamed sharply, as if someone was demanding her life. “Warren, I just want three months. Can’t you give me that?”
“Three months?” he scoffed. “Since you no longer want your son, why insist on three months?”
She bit her lower lip. After a moment, she said, “If you won’t give me three months, then I won’t give up custody.”
He stared at her. “You suddenly come to me with all this. Have you found someone you want to marry and is eager to start a new life? Therefore, you changed your mind and want to give up on the custody?”
She remained silent, not uttering a word.
To him, her silence was acquiescence.
Suddenly, it felt like a thorn was growing longer and sharper inside his heart, continuously causing him pain.
“In that case, why don’t you tell me who you’ve set your eyes on? Maybe I’ll give you some money as a gift for your wedding, considering how deeply in love you were with me back then and how you bore Aiden,” he said sarcastically.
“Warren, as long as you agree to my conditions, my personal matters are none of your concern,” Amelia said, taking a few more steps back.
He continued to approach her, and in no time, he had her cornered against the wall. “Personal matters? What about the man you’re interested in? Does he know your past? Does he know how passionate you were in my bed, where are your sensitive spots, or where you have moles? Maybe I should enlighten him sometime.”
Smack! The sound of a slap suddenly echoed in the room, and for a moment, it felt like the air had frozen.
Warren’s face was turned to the side, and Amelia felt her hand throbbing with pain.

She had just slapped him. Amelia tightly clutched her hand.
“Warren, are you seeking revenge on the Haab family because my father harmed your family? Is that why you’re doing this to me? I have no words. I was foolish enough to fall in love with you. I had no idea whether you were sincere or pretending. I don’t blame fate, the world, or anyone else. I blame myself for not seeing through people. But when I loved you, I loved you with all my heart. Why should this love be insulted by you? Warren, do you know? When you say these things, you’re not just insulting me, but also yourself. Back then, you clearly didn’t love me. You wanted to take revenge on me, but you still got into bed with me. What was that? Were you selling your body for revenge, and I didn’t even have to pay?”
She glared at him, her voice filled with determination.
Warren’s gaze grew even deeper, and his thin lips pursed tightly. His expression clearly showed anger, but when Amelia mentioned that she loved him with all her heart, complex emotions flickered in his eyes.
Suddenly, Amelia’s body swayed, and her eyebrows furrowed. Her face turned pale, and she placed a hand on her right abdomen, bending slightly. Cold sweat began to bead on her forehead.
“What’s wrong?” Warren asked, as memories of seeing her like this before flashed through his mind.
“Nothing,” she struggled to say. In just a short minute or two, her face had turned as white as paper. She looked like she was enduring tremendous pain.
Her appearance made him feel anxious. “I’ll take you to the hospital.”
“No need!” She grabbed his arm with such force that it made his arm hurt. “I’m fine. It’s an old issue. I’ll be okay in a while. Will you agree to my request?”
He stared at her and wondered, “Old issue? When did she develop this old issue? She certainly didn’t have this old issue when we were together. Or did she get it when she was in prison?”
“Will you… agree?” she asked again as if she desperately needed an
answer.
He continued to gaze at her, his eyes deep and intense. After a while, he finally said, “Fine, three months right? I agree!”
A relieved smile appeared on her lips, contrasting with her pale and fragile face. She looked so beautiful yet fragile. For a moment, Warren

couldn’t quite understand his own feelings.
Amelia then released his hand, swaying slightly as she stood upright. “So, three months later, I will hand Aiden over to you, Mr. York. I hope you’ll take good care of him.”
With that, she finally let go of his arm, taking stumbling steps toward the room’s door.
“Amelia!” Warren couldn’t help but shout.
Her footsteps paused, and she turned slowly. “Mr. York, is there anything else?”
“Are you really okay?” he asked, not knowing why he felt a strange unease in his heart, causing his heartbeat to accelerate.
She raised her lips in a faint, relieved smile. “What could happen? I was fine when I got pregnant and gave birth in prison. Now, what could go wrong? I’m fine. I’ll make sure I’m okay.”
After saying that, she reached the door and almost had to exert all her strength to open it before leaving.
With the sound of the door closing, Warren seemed to come to his senses and couldn’t help but flash a self-deprecating smile.
He couldn’t help but wonder why he was worried about Amelia.
A woman like her didn’t deserve any concern. It was just three months. After three months, once he had custody of Aiden, he would have nothing to do with her!
However, his heart was aching from that fact until he had difficulty breathing.
The next morning, Rosalie went to see Amelia. Aiden had already gone
to kindergarten, and Matilda had gone shopping for groceries.
Amelia was the only one at home.
