After the call, Callum put away his phone and looked at Lillian. “How was your talk with Rosalie? Is she okay?”

Lillian’s eyes widened immediately as she thought, “What? This sounds like something you’d see in a cringey drama series!”
“For the Tall family, their biological daughter is the most important thing. As for Josephine, since she is not their biological daughter, she is just an abandoned child whom they can use as a tool. They thought that if they married Josephine to me, I

Lillian felt that her IQ was not high enough for such complex family politics.
“But how do you know that Josephine is not the biological daughter of the Tall family?” Lillian asked.
