The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 385

Chapter 385

Warren wondered if Amelia was in the dark outside.

She was his nightmare and had been tormenting him for years.

He was the winner, but why didn’t he feel happy at all? Every time he thought of that woman, his heart ached.

Only by finding her could he quell his strange feelings.

Warren wanted to find her and completely got over her this time.

The next day, the driver of the Youngblood family drove Rosalie to the town.

Wearing a black dress, Rosalie walked into the Lopez residence.

Today was the last day of the mourning period for Wilma. The Lopez family arranged a big ceremony for her and invited many relatives and neighbors over.

Therefore, the Lopez residence was crowded with people when Rosalie arrived.

When Rosalie looked at Wilma’s black-and-white photo again, tears were welling up in her eyes.

Wilma was the one who used to give her the most protection.

Wilma was her protector while she was 3 to 9 years old, guarding and raising her.

She used to say, “Rosalie, you’re the most promising person in this family. I’ll wait for money in the future.”

Unfortunately, her grandmother died even before she could repay.

you to repay me when you make

Rosalie knew that before Wilma died, she was still worried about her. Otherwise, her grandmother wouldn’t have asked the nurse to call her and wanted to see her for the last time.

“Grandma, you can rest assured. Jon will protect and take care of me as you did. You don’t have to worry about me anymore,” Rosalie said silently in her heart. She bowed her head respectfully and put the incense into the burner.

Daniel and Edward took the initiative to talk with Rosalie, pretending to be enthusiastic.

After all, they didn’t dare to offend her anymore after knowing her boyfriend was Jonathan.

Moreover, they were also afraid that Jonathan would take revenge on them. After all, they once sold their niece to a fool as his wife. They were still afraid that Jonathan would get even with them.

Therefore, they tried to please Rosalie.

Rosalie had no choice but to chat with Daniel and Edward for a while. She didn’t want people to be embarrassed or upset on the last day of the mourning period for her grandmother.

While they were talking, there was an uproar at the door.

Rosalie looked up and saw several people coming in with a lot of people surrounding them. It was Sarah and her family. Calvin was also among them!

Calvin, dressed in a black suit and white shirt, came in with a cold face.

He was totally different from the one who dragged her into the emergency passage and questioned her excitedly that day.

Calvin glanced at her after sensing her gaze.

Rosalie’s heart skipped a beat. He glanced at her with indifference and alienation as if he were looking at a stranger.

She was a little surprised when she suddenly had an odd sense of loss.

Why did she feel this way? Perhaps it was because the boy who used to grow up and go through a lot with her treated her like a stranger.

But it was her own choice, wasn’t it?

Even though she was the one who saved Calvin back then, she had already chosen Jonathan as her boyfriend,

She didn’t want Jonathan to feel insecure again. She didn’t want the man she loved to show such an uneasy and vulnerable expression on his face again. She was not going to regain her memory, whether she had lost it or not.

She preferred to let everything remain unchanged.

Rosalie smiled bitterly and lowered her head.

At that moment, Fiona, who was standing beside Calvin, gave Rosalie a hostile look. She then returned her gaze to Calvin worriedly. She was afraid that Calvin would do something strange after meeting Rosalie again.

If Calvin held Rosalie’s hand as he did at the exhibition, Fiona would be embarrassed in front of all her relatives and neighbors.

After all, the relatives and neighbors thought that Fiona would become Calvin’s girlfriend in the future.

Fortunately, Calvin didn’t look at Rosalie again after glancing coldly at her once. Fiona breathed out a sigh of relief.

Anyway, she couldn’t let Calyin find out the truth. She would let him believe she was the one who saved him!

Fiona walked to Rosalie after paying respect to Wilma. “Rosalie, you came here too. Where is Jonathan? Didn’t he come with you?” she asked, pretending to be close to her.

“He will come over this afternoon,” Rosalie replied, looking at Fiona indifferently. She didn’t know how Fiona convinced Calvin that she was the little girl who had saved him. She wondered if Fiona told him the story of Calvin and her being trapped in the mountain when they were kids.

Although Rosalie didn’t have a memory of her childhood, she thought she couldn’t have told Fiona about what happened in the mountain in detail even if she had mentioned it to Fiona before.

Furthermore, Fiona could not have recalled that much after so many years.

Even so, Fiona still deceived Calvin. Was it because Calvin was so easily duped, or because Fiona was a brilliant liar?

Fiona felt guilty under Rosalie’s gaze. Rosalie looked as if she could read her mind.

“Rosalie, I want to have a word with you,” Fiona said, pulling Rosalie to the corner. “Why did Calvin hold your hand at the exhibition?” she asked in a low voice.

She was always curious about it, but Calvin refused to tell her.

“Nothing. Calvin seemed to misunderstand my words,” Rosalie replied.

“Then don’t let him misunderstand you again!” Fiona said with dissatisfaction. “I told you I saved Calvin when I was a child. But you always say strange things in front of him to mislead him. You already have Jonathan as your boyfriend. Why can’t you leave Calvin alone?”

Rosalie suddenly felt that she had underestimated Fiona in the past.

She always felt that even though Fiona was not well educated, she would not hide her emotions but would reveal them on her face, even if she was a little scheming.

But she didn’t expect Fiona to distort the facts.
