“At least the job makes me feel that I can support myself,” Rosalie replied.
Hearing her words, Jonathan blinked his eyes and smiled at her. “Let me drive you to work today,” he said. He lifted the covers and got out of bed after planting a kiss on her forehead.
“Ah!” Rosalie screamed, hurriedly looking away. She saw his naked body just now.
Her shy look amused Jonathan. He felt she was extremely adorable.
“What? Don’t you like it?” He turned around and walked back to the bed. He supported himself on both sides of her body with his elbows, and his breath fanned her face.
Rosalie’s face blushed instantly. They were so close that she didn’t know where to look. “I-I’m just shy,” she explained.

He had a faintly visible scar on his chest. He explained that the scar was caused by his mother, who shoved him to the ground as she was going to leave, which nearly killed him at the time.

Rosalie observed Amelia had dark circles under her eyes and looked extremely tired when she saw her. Obviously, she didn’t sleep well the night before.
“Ms. Haab, you didn’t sleep well last night? Was it because of Warren?” Rosalie asked in a low voice.
Amelia smiled bitterly. “Yes. I avoided him once I was released from prison, afraid that he would track me down and ruin my peaceful life.”
What she feared the most was that Warren would take Aiden away from her. Even though Warren never wanted Aiden, it was hard to say that he wouldn’t do that.

“Although he’s in Strico now, you won’t happen to meet him so easily,” Rosalie said in a comforting voice.

After going through a lot, Amelia realized that being safe and well was a blessing. But Rosalie was still with Jonathan. She opened and closed her mouth, not knowing whether it was a stroke of good or bad luck.
