The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 282

Chapter 282

Rosalie ordered three combos according to the online recommendations.

When the food was brought to the table, they discovered that not only the children’s food but also the adults’ food, was designed in a cute cartoon style, reminding them of their childhood.

Rosalie glanced at Jonathan, who was dressed formally in a suit and leather shoes today. His hair was neatly slicked back. He looked like a typical social elite, always ready to attend various banquets or meetings at any time.

However, the food placed in front of Jonathan was made in cartoon style. The strange contrast made Rosalie feel funny.

She couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“What’s so funny?” Jonathan asked.

“Nothing. It’s just… Well, I haven’t seen you eat a cartoon-style meal before. By the way, the cartoon character is Peppa Pig,” Rosalie explained.

Jonathan also laughed because he had never eaten such a meal before.

When he was a child, he used to see a similar carton-style menu when he walked past a restaurant with his parents. At that time, he desired to eat it, but his family couldn’t afford it.

At that time, the price of such a combo was too high for his family.

He never wanted to eat such a meal now that he could afford it. He wouldn’t have remembered such a memory if he hadn’t gone to this restaurant with Rosalie today.

Rosalie placed food on Aiden’s plate and wrapped a bib around his neck. Because Aiden usually ate by himself, she also let him eat with a spoon.

Aiden grabbed the spoon and began eating by himself. Because he was young, he would occasionally drop food from his mouth. After a time, his bib and table were smeared by food that had fallen from his lips.

Rosalie would carefully clean them up for Aiden so they didn’t stain his clothes. She would also wipe the corners of his mouth with tissues every now and then.

When Aiden was full, his beautiful eyes focused on the children’s play area.

Rosalie removed the bib around Aiden’s neck and said to Jonathan with a smile, “Help yourself! I will go play with Aiden for a while.”

“Okay,” he replied with a nod.

Rosalie took Aiden to the children’s play area. Aiden started playing on the slide.

Aiden ascended to the top of the slide happily and then slid down. Rosalie caught him steadily so that he wouldn’t get hurt. Aiden giggled when Rosalie caught Aiden, taking her by surprise.

Aiden used to grin, but most of his smiles were silent. Even if he hadn’t worn the cochlear implant yet, his laughter now had a sound.

Jonathan looked at Rosalie quietly in the distance, his eyes full of affection.

He didn’t like it when she focused all her attention on another person, even if that person was a child. He couldn’t take his eyes off her when he saw her gentle expression.

Her smile and actions made her appear to be a good mother. If people didn’t know the truth, they would think she was Aiden’s mother.

It seems like being her child would be a very happy thing because she would love them with all her heart.

Jonathan used to wish his mother would treat him more gently, pay him more attention, talk to him more, and even embrace him more.

But all of his wishes became empty eventually.

Rosalie checked the time on her phone after playing with Aiden for about half an hour. She realized it was time to send Aiden home, so she took Aiden’s hand and walked back to Jonathan.

“Are you done playing?” Jonathan asked, raising his eyebrows.

“It’s time to send Aiden home, otherwise Ms. Haab will worry about him,” Rosalie replied. She turned her gaze on Aiden, whose face was a little red, and asked in sign language, “Do you like here?”

Aiden nodded vigorously.

“Then I’ll bring you here next time,” Rosalie said.

Aiden nodded again and grinned at Rosalie. He wrapped his hands around her waist and rubbed her belly with his head to show intimacy.

However, Jonathan frowned. He lifted Aiden by his collar and moved him away from Rosalie. “Let’s go,” he said.

As expected, he still didn’t like other people being close to her.

Rosalie didn’t know whether to laugh or cry about Jonathan’s behavior.

After getting in the car, Aiden yawned because of exhaustion. He soon fell asleep while leaning his body against Rosalie.

Rosalie looked at Aiden’s innocent face and couldn’t help saying, “Aiden is so cute. How nice it would be if his hearing had not been damaged!”

Jonathan thought, “Is Aiden cute?”

Jonathan glanced at Aiden who was asleep in the car. Children, whether cute or not, were almost the same in Jonathan’s

eyes.

“Aiden may feel uncomfortable sleeping like this. I need you to help me to move him. I’ll hold his shoulders and you help me lift his foot,” Rosalie demanded.

Rosalie began to command Jonathan.

Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly and glanced at her. He didn’t refute but did as she told.

Rosalie was the only person in the world who could command him.

“Hey, be gentle and slow. If you move too fast, you will wake him up,” Rosalie said, lowering her voice again.

After hearing this, the driver almost shook his hands in terror. He used his willpower to keep his hands from trembling.

No one had the guts to speak to and command Jonathan like this. Rosalie would be thrown on the road right away if she were someone else.

Rosalie was the only woman that Jonathan was willing to indulge.

The commanding voice in the car continued to be heard, and the driver’s admiration for Rosalie grew.

The car arrived at the diner. After Rosalic got out of the car, she intended to carry Aiden who was still asleep. “Let me do it,” Jonathan said, carrying Aiden in his arms.

When the two of them entered the diner, Amelia was surprised to see Jonathan holding her son.
