Just then, Rosalie’s phone rang. Seeing it was a call from Amelia, she picked it up.
“Rosalie, Aiden will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Can you come to work the day after tomorrow? I’m thinking of cleaning the diner on the day after tomorrow and resuming business the day after,” Amelia said.
“No problem. I’m fine with that,” Rosalie replied. Speaking of which, it was rare for her to rest for such a long time after she was released from prison.
“Glad to hear that. By the way, Aiden wants to talk to you. Please spare a moment to talk to him,” Amelia said.
Rosalie was slightly stunned when she heard that. Then, she spoke on the phone. “Aiden, I’m Rosalie. Can you hear me? I’ll see you the day after tomorrow. When you understand what you hear and know how to speak, I will tell you many stories, okay?”

“Rosalie.” Amelia’s voice sounded through the phone again.
“Ms. Haab, is Aiden… talking just now? Can he speak now?” Rosalie asked in astonishment.
“Yeah, but it’s just a few words. He still needs to spend more time in training. The doctor said Aiden will learn to speak faster,” Amelia said, and her voice sounded happy and proud.

If it weren’t for the fact that he couldn’t hear before, his current language ability would be far better than that of children of the same age.
“That’s wonderful!” Rosalie was happy for Amelia and Aiden.
After the call ended, Rosalie thought about getting Aiden a gift at the store to celebrate that the little one could finally hear.
When Jonathan returned at night, Rosalie asked him about the news she had read during the day, “What happened to that mall? Do you have anything to do with its sudden demolition?”
Since Rosalie was blunt in her question, Jonathan answered straightforwardly, “Yes.”
She widened her eyes in surprise. Although she already more or less had an idea, the answer still surprised her.
“What’s with that face? You should have guessed something before asking me such a question. Why do you still look so surprised?” Jonathan found it a little strange and raised his eyebrows.
After a while, Rosalie gulped and asked in puzzlement, “Are you the one who asked the Hamilton family to demolish the mall?”
“Yes,” he replied indifferently.

“Yes,” he continued to respond. His plain tone sounded like it was a normal thing to him.
Rosalie looked at the man in front of her blankly. She had only heard about how strong Jonathan’s influence was in Strico, and now it seemed to have become a more specific impression to her.
However, it was a demolition of a giant mall. Even if it were Jonathan, he should have used a lot of tricks to make the Hamilton family demolish the mall obediently.
And the reason for all that was merely because the Hamilton family had humiliated her in the mall the other day.

“Besides, it’s a good way to make the Hamilton family understand the situation and not do anything wrong to you again,” Jonathan added.
Rosalie smiled bitterly. “Maybe they will only believe that it’s not my fault when I turn over the case. In fact, it was someone else who harmed their daughter.”
She could tell that someone was behind the accident. At first, she thought Melanie’s improper driving was the reason for the car accident. But later, the witnesses’ confessions and physical evidence were all directed at her. It made her feel that someone had secretly manipulated it.

“By the way, I want you to accompany me to a banquet tomorrow,” Jonathan suddenly said.
