“Why don’t you turn on the lights?” Rosalie asked curiously.
“I miss you.” Jonathan gave her an irrelevant reply.
Rosalie’s face instantly blushed and her heart seemed to be beating faster. At this moment, she felt lucky that it was still dark and Jonathan couldn’t see her blushing.
“What about you? Did you miss me today?” He continued to speak in her ears, and his breath was tingling her neck.
She felt as though her whole body was focused only on her neck, especially after feeling his breath. She could feel that his lips were near her ears as if his lips would touch her earlobe if he closed their distance.
Just when she was a little spaced out, there was a slight pain in her ear suddenly. She shuddered and then came back to her senses. Then, her face turned redder.
He was biting her ear. He was sucking on her earlobe, which made her couldn’t help but tremble slightly.
“Do you want to do it?” he whispered in his deep voice again.
“Yes…” she replied in a trembling voice. “Well, let go of me first. I’ll put aside my bag,” she uttered unsteadily. She was overwhelmed by the passionate atmosphere.
However, he didn’t loosen his arms and continued asking, “Do you love me too?”
She was stunned. “Love, this type of emotion, is too profound. Do I really love him?” she wondered.
“I like you,” Rosalie took a deep breath and replied truthfully. Yes, she just liked him for now. She hadn’t reached the level of loving him yet.
It was because love was sacred and unique in her heart. It could not be changed easily.
She didn’t want to force herself to say that she loved him.
Even if her answer was not what he expected.
Rosalie initially thought that Jonathan might be unhappy or insisted on changing her remark after hearing her response.
However, it was strange that he just hugged her and whispered, “But I love you, Rosie. For the first time today, I thought that if I lose you one day, I won’t know what to do. If I can’t stay with you for the rest of my life, there won’t be any meaning to my life. I love you to the point where I’m not able to control my emotions.”
His voice was like a cluster of bamboo blowing from the night breeze, constantly pouring into her ears.
Rosalie was dumbfounded. The feeling from her heart was a huge shock to her.
“What’s he talking about? He said he loved me. And he has gone that far? How can this be possible?” she kept asking herself.
She unconsciously wanted to deny it, thinking that this might be just his spontaneous sweet talk.
However, her other inner voice was retorting her idea.
“People like him don’t really have to sweet talk at all. It’s unnecessary for him.” Rosalie tried to ration with herself.
At this moment, he seemed to be dissecting his emotions to her completely, without hiding anything.
She once thought that even if he said the word love, it was just something like fondness. She didn’t expect the love he mentioned would be so deep and strong.
“I don’t request that you fall in love with me immediately, nor do I ask you to really open your heart to me at once. I just want you to like me as much as one-tenth of my love for you. I just want you to like me more,” he murmured.
He was afraid that her love for him would not be enough and could be replaced by other feelings at any time. He was afraid that she would leave him one day!
He slowly turned her body to him so that they were looking at each other.
Even now, the living room was still dark, but Rosalie could see Jonathan’s face structure clearly through the moonlight coming through the window.
However, she couldn’t see his expression clearly.
But she could also feel that he was looking at her currently.
She gradually raised her hands and put them on his cheeks. “Okay, I’ll like you more.” At first, she was still confused about their relationship and felt that there would be no future.

No matter what their future turned out to be, at least for now, she wanted to accept Jonathan. She was willing to pour in more of her heart to soothe his insecurity.
With that, she stood on tiptoes and kissed his lips.
For the first time, she was really sober and rational. She kissed him with all her feelings.
It was like the kiss that contained all her feelings for him at the moment.
His body trembled. He seemed a bit surprised. But then he opened his mouth and let her deepen the kiss. He tried his best to respond to her, to please her.
She was the only one who could make him act like this.
He loved her so much. He felt scared that he had fallen so deep unknowingly.
When the kiss ended, Rosalie almost couldn’t breathe. If Jonathan hadn’t supported her with his arm, she would have fallen to the floor.
“Remember what you said. You have to like me properly. And then, fall in love with me,” he whispered, gently brushing her lips with his fingertips.
Rosalie felt her face burning. Fortunately, the lights were not turned on yet at this moment.
“By the way, promise me. If you find out that I have done something wrong in the future, you will forgive me.” There was an imperceptible tremble in his voice.
She looked at him, feeling strange. “Did you do something wrong? What do you mean?”
“Nothing. It just occurred to me that if I did something wrong in the future, you would choose to leave me,” he explained.
She chuckled. She had never thought about this before, but he was already thinking about it. “As long as you don’t make mistakes that go against my principles, even if you really do something wrong, of course I will forgive you. When two people date, do they just leave each other after fighting over some small matters?”
“What do you mean by mistakes that go against your principles?” he asked.
“For instance being unfaithful. If you fall in love with someone else, then I will leave.” Even though she had been scarred before, she still hoped to have a pure relationship.
What she yearned for was loyalty and a whole lifetime for both of them.
The relationship could be ordinary, not so glamorous, but it should last forever.
Perhaps it was because of Zachary that she realized that it’s really rare to have a pure relationship.
