The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 184

Chapter 184

“Okay! Confirmation completed,” Lillian thought.

She stepped forward and said, “It’s Timmy Gate, isn’t it? Hello, I am Lillian Quinn.”

“Hello,” the man replied while sizing her up.

“Well… I wanted to talk to you about something,” Lillian intended to apologize. After all, she had come for this blind date only to please her mother. She thought they could have a meal and just become ordinary friends.

However, the other party interrupted her before she could finish her words. “Let’s just walk around here for a bit. I see a small park next to the supermarket. How about we go for a walk there?”

“Huh? A walk in the park?” Lillian thought.

Lillian glanced at the darkening sky and checked the time. It was already past five in the afternoon. It was nearly dinnertime. “Don’t you like to have dinner first?”

Her words were purely a kind reminder. After all, this was a crowded place. It was nearly dinnertime, and the restaurants around here would probably have long waiting queues. If they strolled through the park and then tried to eat, they might end up waiting for quite a while.

“I’m not hungry yet. Let’s chat for a bit first,” Timmy replied.

“All right, we can chat for a while then,” Lillian thought, following him to the small park, but what followed felt like a relentless bombardment to her.

The man’s questions covered everything from her age, family, and occupation to her education, the names of her schools from elementary to university, and even her elementary school grades.

Lillian couldn’t help but sigh, thinking, “Do blind dates nowadays require such an interrogation?”

“Ms. Quinn, have you ever been in a relationship before?” Timmy asked again.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Gate, I…”

Lillian started speaking, but before she could finish her words, Timmy continued, “Ms. Quinn, I don’t like my girlfriend to have had too many previous boyfriends, and I prefer her not to have much experience in that area. So, I hope you can be honest with me. It will help us avoid misunderstandings in the future.”

Lillian was stunned. This guy was being way too direct. It was their first meeting, and even if she wasn’t experienced with blind dates, she knew that this wasn’t a question to ask at this stage.

“And what does he mean by ‘experience in that area?” she thought.

“I think we might have a misunderstanding already…” Lillian thought that even if she was coming for a blind date, she would. never have

any feelings for this man in front of her. At least, it seemed that they were not suitable.

Just then, a voice rang out, interrupting what she was about to say next. “Well, I’d like to hear more about this misunderstanding between you two.”

Lillian froze. That voice was Callum’s.

She quickly turned around and saw a familiar figure, especially that face, which was so handsome that even someone like her, a self-proclaimed “connoisseur” of attractive men, couldn’t help but steal a few more glances. It was Callum White.

“You… Why are you here?”, Lillian was dumbfounded.

“So, you thought I wouldn’t be here and decided to meet another man?” Callum asked.

Lillian suddenly felt like thunderbolts were striking her from all directions.

She rarely went on a blind date, yet she ran into Callum. “Is the heaven punishing me?” she thought.

“Ms. Quinn, who is he?” Timmy asked.

Callum looked at Lillian and said, “Yes, tell him. Who am I?”

Right then, the two men’s eyes fixated on her. Lillian felt that she was going to be pierced by their gazes.

One was her blind date arranged by her mother, and the other one was her new debt-collecting boyfriend. She couldn’t afford to offend either of them.

However, compared with the mother behind the blind date, Lillian still felt that she should not piss Callum. Hence, she smiled awkwardly and said to Timmy, “I almost forgot to introduce him. This is my boyfriend, uh, Mr. White.”

Timmy’s expression immediately changed. “Boyfriend? You already have a boyfriend?”

“Well… Yes…” Lillian replied guiltily. No matter how strange Timmy was before, in this matter, she was in the wrong.

Timmy was furious. His face turned red, and he scolded Lillian, “I came here for a blind date with you, and you already have a boyfriend? You’re too much! You must give me an explanation. Don’t play games like this!”

While scolding, Timmy stepped forward and seemed like he was about to grab Lillian by her collar.

Before Lillian could dodge, a hand intervened and stopped Timmy’s attempt.

“Who said you could touch her?” Callum said coldly.

“What? Are you trying to fight me?” Timmy fumed. “Be careful with this woman. She’s here with me for a blind date today, but who knows if she’ll be in bed with someone else tomorrow? Women like her seem obedient on the surface, but who

knows what they’re up to in secret, maybe even engaging in some shady transactions…”

Hearing his words becoming more and more offensive, Lillian was about to roll up her sleeves and prepare to fight back when, in the next moment, a crisp sound of a slap rang out.

Lillian stared blankly at Callum, who had just slapped Timmy.

“You… dare to hit me?” Timmy glared at Callum with uncontrollable rage.

“If you say another word about her, I can guarantee that none of your teeth will remain in your mouth,” Callum said coldly.

Timmy’s body trembled, and a sudden sense of fear welled up from the depths of his heart.

He had wanted to argue some more, but although his mouth was open, he couldn’t speak a word.

With a stern face, Callum pulled Lillian away.

Failing to react, Lillian followed him in a daze, but Callum was walking faster and faster. In the end, she almost needed to run to keep up.

“Please… Please slow down. If he wasn’t holding her hand, she would have halted her feet already.

All of a sudden, Callum paused abruptly, causing Lillian to bump right into his back.

“It hurts!” she exclaimed internally, covering her nose as if she had just bumped into an iron plate.

“If you want to stop, at least give me a hint, she muttered.

“A hint?” Callum suddenly sneered, turning to glare at the woman in front of him. “You’re the one who should give me a hint first. Why are you still going on a blind date when you already have a boyfriend? Do you mean to say you’re used to playing both sides?”
