The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1341

Chapter 1341

“It’s fine,” Hanna said. “Now the trending topics are all gone. Besides, I’m not a celebrity. Not everyone can recognize me. I’ll go out for dinner or order takeout myself. You don’t need to come all the way here to bring me food.”

It would take an hour and a half to get to Shelly’s place and come back by car.

“Okay, be careful, then. Call me if you need anything. You can go to the set a few days later. I’ll tell the director” said Shelly.

“Okay,” Hanna answered.

After Shelly left, Hanna was left in this small apartment alone.

A sense of loneliness immediately surrounded Hanna.

Hanna took out her phone and found the name “Calvin” in the contact list. After hesitating for a while, she called him.

“This is Calvin.” Calvin’s cold voice came from the phone.

Hanna clenched the phone. “This is Hanna… Well, do you know that my previous affair went on the trending topics today?”

“Yeah, I know.” Calvin’s calm tone didn’t show his emotion.

“Sorry about that. If you think this makes me not suitable to pretend to be your girlfriend anymore, we can stop it right now, or you can tell your friend that you were fooled by me and I can cooperate if you need me to act with you,” Hanna hurriedly said.

Hanna just wanted to try her best to make up for it. She didn’t want Calvin to be affected by her affair.

“You just need to act as my girlfriend and let others feel that you love me very much. Except for that, you don’t need to act anything else,” Calvin said. “As for other things, you don’t have to think too much. Everything will go back to normal.”

Hanna was stunned for a moment. Although Calvin’s tone was still calm, it gave her a kind of warmth that made her feel at ease.

“Did you help me suppress the trending topics?” Hanna couldn’t help but ask.

“Yeah,” Calvin still said that casually, as if he was just answering the question of whether he had eaten dinner or not. But in fact, what Calvin did was so important to Hanna.

“Thank you,” Hanna said in a constricted voice.

“You are my girlfriend now. If someone slander you, it is equivalent to slander me,” Calvin said. “Where are you now? Are you at home?”

“No, Shelly found me a serviced apartment and let me stay here for a few days before this incident passes.”

“What’s the address?” Calvin asked.

Then Hanna sent Calvin the location of her address.

“I’ll come over later and take you out for dinner,” said Calvin.

“How about just eating in this apartment? This place has a kitchen. There’s a small supermarket nearby and I can buy some food there. This place is remote, so there are not many restaurants.” Then Hanna hesitated for a while and added, “If… If you don’t mind me cooking…”

“Okay, I’ll be there later,” said Calvin.

Hanna breathed a sigh of relief. After finishing the call, she put on her mask and cap and went to the supermarket with her phone and wallet.

Although Hanna had said to Shelly that she was not a celebrity, even if she occasionally went on trending topics, she might not be recognized in such a slightly remote place.

But when Calvin said that they would have dinner together, Hanna still couldn’t help worrying about being recognized by someone when she had dinner with Calvin. If some people made a riot, Calvin might be implicated.

In the supermarket, Hanna bought some vegetables, seasonings, and bread. She would spend the next few days in this apartment, anyway. She could eat the rest of the food in the next few days if she bought too much.

After returning to the apartment, Hanna cut the bread, washed and cut the vegetables and meat, and began to cook.

When Calvin arrived, Hanna was still cooking.

“Wait a minute. There’s only one soup left. It’ll be ready soon,” Hanna said. She asked Calvin to sit first.

It was a small apartment. Calvin sat at the dining table in the dining room and looked at Hanna, who was busy in the kitchen.

Hanna put the ingredients into the pot skillfully and then poured the seasonings. It could be said that Hanna should often cook herself.

There were already four dishes on the table, all of which were homemade, but they looked good.

After the soup was ready, Hanna came to the table with the soup and then put it on the table. “Do you want some bread? I’ll get you some,” said Hanna.

“Sure,” Calvin answered.

In fact, Calvin didn’t have to come here at all. Today was not the day they had originally agreed to date. However, when talking on the phone, Calvin was afraid that Hanna would overthink when she was alone, so he planned to take her out for dinner, and in the end, he agreed to come here for dinner.

Calvin thought, “It actually has nothing to do with me even if Hanna really overthinks, right? Or is it because we’re dating? At least she’s my girlfriend now. Even if I have no affection for her, at least I have to do what an ordinary boyfriend would do, right?”

Hanna soon brought the bread to Calvin.

“Let’s start. I don’t know if these dishes fit your taste,” Hanna said shy

Calvin picked up the food and had a try. The food was not good end for him. After all, he usually went to high-end places, and there were excellent chefs in the Gunner residence, so Hanna’s cooking skill was really nothing to him.

But looking at the brightness in Hanna’s round eyes, Calvin still said, “Not bad.”

A smile suddenly appeared on Hanna’s face. The brightness in her eyes became more dazzling as if Calvin’s simple words had given her great satisfaction.

Calvin sighed in his mind, “She’s really… easy to be satisfied. If I’m like her, will I live a little easier?”

Hanna also started to eat the food she cooked. Suddenly, she seemed to think of something and then asked, “By the way, on the day you sent me home, did I do anything strange after I fell asleep?”

“Usually, you should ask me if I have done anything strange to you,” Calvin said.

Hanna blinked and looked at Calvin in a daze. “You should be the one who suffers a loss if you really did something to me.” After saying that, Hanna realized what she had said and her face suddenly turned red.

She thought, “Holy shit. What the hell did I say?”
