The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1313

Chapter 1313

The servants knew that Warren was about to divorce Amelia, so they ignored Amelia and even deliberately made things difficult for her.

Hearing the servant’s words, Amelia didn’t ask anything else.

She understood why the servants treated her like this. If she really went to find Melissa, she knew that she couldn’t get any medicines.

So Amelia limped out of the villa with her phone.

At the intersection, Amelia took a taxi to a nearby pharmacy. When she was about to leave after buying medicine, a car stopped in front of her.

“Hello, Ms. Haab, Mrs. York wants to see you,” a man got out of the car and said to Amelia respectfully.

Amelia’s heart sank. In fact, when she came to Lofbury, she had already known that she would meet Warren’s mother again sooner or later.

At first, Amelia promised Lydia to break up with Warren. But now, Amelia came to Lofbury and refused to sign the divorce agreement. How could Lydia not know about these things?

Amelia got in the car and came to the York residence.

When Amelia followed the servant to the hall of the York residence, Lydia looked at her and asked lightly, “Ms. Haab, are you injured?”

“My ankle is twisted, and it will be fine in a few days,” Amelia said.

Lydia said calmly, “Some injuries can heal in a few days. But some injuries are not that easy to heal in a few days.”

Amelia was silent for a moment and then said, “I’m sorry. I know that Warren had another liver donation because of me. I…”

“It was his choice. You don’t need to apologize.” Lydia picked up the coffee cup in front of her and took a sip. “I’m not going to blame you for that. After all, as a mother, I understand that you wanted to give birth to your baby. It is Warren’s baby. You were endangered by giving birth to the baby, so he risked his own life to save you. Neither of you was wrong,” Lydia said.

Lydia paused and looked at Amelia sharply, continuing, “I just want to ask you, Ms. Haab, do you still remember what you promised me?”

Amelia’s body stiffened. Here it came.

“I remember it. When I promised you, I was sincere. And I did do that, but I didn’t expect that I still dragged Warren down,” Amelia said.

“Since you know you’ve dragged him down, why don’t you divorce him now? As far as I know, Warren should have asked his lawyer to negotiate with you about the divorce,” Lydia said.

Amelia gritted her teeth and said, “Because I love Warren. At that time, I was afraid that I would die after giving birth to the baby because of my liver problem. I thought I didn’t love him enough at that time, so I wanted to break up with him. But now things are different. If Warren still wants to love me, I will be with him forever!”

“Do you love him?” Lydia suddenly rubbed her forehead helplessly. “After so many years, you didn’t love him, but now you suddenly say that you love him. Ms. Haab, what are you thinking? Do you know that Warren has no feelings for you now?”

“I know. He doesn’t have any feelings for me, but I still want to fight for it anyway,” Amelia said. “Three months. I only need three months. I also told him that if he still wants to divorce after three months, I will sign the divorce agreement and let him go.”

Hearing this, Lydia put down the coffee cup in her hand and said, “Three months… Will you really sign it after three months?”

“If he still doesn’t love me three months later, I will sign it without hesitation. But if he still loves me and is willing to live with me after three months, Mrs. York, I hope you can accept me. I know I am not a good daughter-in-law, but I will try my best” Amelia said.

Lydia looked at Amelia in front of her seriously. The relationship between the York family and the Haab family was too complicated. Lydia couldn’t tell who was right or wrong now.

But if Amelia could divorce as she said three months later, Lydia wouldn’t mind waiting for another three months.

“I hope you can do what you say,” Lydia finally said.

Amelia’s eyes darkened slightly. She knew that Lydia hoped that she could sign the divorce agreement three months later.

Lydia was right. In her eyes, Amelia was just a woman who kept hurting her son.

“I will,” Amelią said.

Just as Amelia turned around, she saw Warren standing by the door of the living room. She didn’t know how much Warren had heard about their conversation just now.

“Mom, I told you not to interfere in the matter between me and her!” Warren said coldly, then walked to Amelia and pulled her wrist directly to take her away.

But when Warren took a few steps, he felt that Amelia staggered and was about to fall.

He frowned and realized something was wrong with her feet.

“What’s wrong with your feet?” Warren asked.

“I slipped down the stairs and twisted my ankle,” Amelia said.

Warren frowned and suddenly squatted down. He directly lifted Amelia’s trouser leg to check on her ankle which was indeed red and swollen.

“Sorry, I’ll walk a little more slowly…” Before Amelia finished her words, Warren suddenly picked her up.

Amelia leaned against Warren’s chest in a daze. She couldn’t believe that he would pick her up so suddenly.

But Warren strode towards the manor’s gate with Amelia in his arms before she could say anything.

Lydia stared at them leaving. When they disappeared, she murmured, “What will happen three months later?”

By then, would Warren really divorce Amelia? Lydia was not sure about it.

Amelia finally came back to her senses after being carried into the car by Warren. “Is your wound okay? You just held me. Will it make your wound crack?” Amelia asked worriedly.

As she spoke, she reached out her hand towards Warren’s shirt. She wanted to unbutton his shirt and carefully look at his wound.

But before Amelia touched the button, her hands had been held by Warren’s hand.

“What are you doing?” Warren asked in a cold voice.
