The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1295

Chapter 1295

Wyatt told Zephyr how Riley was tortured in the psychiatric hospital, how Harriet once hid Riley in the basement of the Summer family’s villa and how Riley got abused there.

Even if Wyatt was just a bystander, he couldn’t help sighing when he recounted the stories. Riley, who used to be a proud lady, had been reduced to such a circumstance.

When Zephyr heard everything, he only felt a throbbing pain in his heart. It hurt so much that he even felt hard to breathe.

The woman Zephyr used to care for so much was tormented so miserably, but all those things had something to do with him!

It was because Zephyr didn’t protect Riley well that she had suffered those pains.

When she was suffering from those tortures, did she hate him in her heart?

Zephyr felt that he deserved Riley’s hatred and disgust! When she was tortured, what was he doing? He was enjoying his happiness with his family!

What had he done?

When Wyatt finished speaking, he looked at Zephyr and found that Zephyr was already crying.

In Lommore, no one had ever seen Zephyr cry like this. He must be extremely painful now.

“That’s all I know,” Wyatt said.

“That’s not all…” Zephyr murmured and suddenly laughed. It was just his laughter sounded so sad. What Wyatt told Zephyr had made Zephyr painful. Then what about other things that had happened to Riley during all these years?

Zephyr didn’t even dare to imagine.

Wyatt sighed and thought, “So sometimes it’s better not to know everything.”

The dinner ended up being a drinking party, Zephyr drank glasses of wine one after another as if to vent all the anguish in his heart, while Wyatt drank some with him.

But Wyatt didn’t drink much.

In the end, Zephyr was heavily drunk.

Wyatt looked at the time and said, “I’ll ask someone to drive you home.” As he spoke, he walked to Zephyr and helped him up.

Zephyr shouted, “You know… I am so drunk. Why… Why do I still feel so uncomfortable? Why did things become like this? Why was I not the person who rescued her…”

“Things have already happened. Now it’s useless to think about the past. Why not think about how to make her forgive you?” Wyatt said.

Zephyr sobbed, “No, she won’t forgive me… She will never forgive me in her life.”

Suddenly, Zephyr grabbed Wyatt’s arm as if he was about to drown and finally grabbed a piece of floating wood. “Tell me what I should do to make Riley forgive me and fall in love with me again…” Zephyr said in despair.

Wyatt looked at Zephyr, who was in a mess and looked painful at the moment. Then Wyatt replied helplessly, “I don’t know. I never thought about making anyone fall in love with me.”

“Then you… You must have never fallen in love with anyone before,” Zephyr murmured. “It’s great that you have never loved anyone before. In that case, you won’t be as painful as I am now… But… I can’t do that… love her…”

Zephyr cried, which made Wyatt feel more sympathetic.

Wyatt helped Zephyr out of the restaurant. Then he asked his driver to send Zephyr back, and then Wyatt drove back to the Serton residence by himself.

When he arrived home, the maid said that Felix was still practicing in the piano room. So Wyatt walked to the room and opened the door gently. He saw Felix playing the piano intently. There were many small frogs made of paper on the piano sent by Jennifer to Felix.

Felix, who had no interest in those expensive toys, treasured those paper frogs.

Wyatt thought that for Felix, Jennifer was much more important than him.

Wyatt had never fallen in love with anyone, but Felix was different. Although the little guy was still ignorant of what love was, he knew that Jennifer was very important to him. When he grew up, his feelings for Jennifer might change into love.

Maybe it would change into a sense of possession.

Wyatt didn’t know what Felix’s feelings for Jennifer would change into in the future, but he was certain that he did not want Felix to be like Zephyr.

After finishing the piece of music, Felix noticed Wyatt standing at the door.

“Daddy,” Felix shouted.

Wyatt walked into the piano room and looked at those little frogs on the piano. Then he picked up one of them and asked, “Do you like these little frogs very much?”

“Yes.” Felix nodded without hesitation.

“Is it because they are from Jen?”

“Yes.” Felix nodded again.

“You really like Jen. Do you like her so much that you want to be with all the time?” Wyatt asked again.

Felix nodded for the third time.

“But one day, if you find that Jen’s favorite person is not you but someone else and she wants to be with that person instead of you, what should you do?” Wyatt asked.

But after asking, Wyatt laughed. What was wrong with him? Was it because of Zephyr? Why would he ask a 6-year-old child this question?

“Then I’ll make myself better. I will be excellent enough so that she only wants to be with me,” Felix replied seriously.

Wyatt smiled and suppressed his sigh. He knew that it was not those excellent people who could get love.

If so, there would not be so many heartbroken people.

“Okay, then Felix will become a very excellent person,” Wyatt touched his son’s head and said. Wyatt would give the best resources to Felix as much as possible.

After a while, Wyatt’s phone rang. It was the driver’s call.

“Mr. Serton, I have planned to send Mr. Scott back home, but on the way, he insisted that I take him to another place. Otherwise, he would jump out of the car. I… I had no choice but to drive him there,” the driver said and told Wyatt the address.

Hearing the address, Wyatt knew that it was exactly the place where Rosalie rented an apartment for Riley. When Rosalie left, she asked Wyatt to take care of Riley.

It seemed that Zephyr went to see Riley again after being drunk.

“Mr. Serton, Mr. Scott has taken the elevator upstairs. I… I am still downstairs. Should I wait for Mr. Scott to come out?” the driver asked.
