Riley looked at Hendrick. Although his face was still pale, he was in good spirits. He was good at assembling toys. Riley could tell that Hendrick liked this kind of assembly toy very much.
When Riley and Zephyr stopped at the bedside of Hendrick, the little guy also stopped and looked at them. Of course, Hendrick was staring at Riley.

“I know you!” Suddenly, Hendrick shouted, “You’re Mommy’s mad sister!”

“I don’t want her blood. Mommy said she was not a good person, and she hurt Grandpa, Grandma, and Mommy! Where is Mommy? Why didn’t she come to visit me?” Hendrick shouted again.
Even though Harriet was not close to Hendrick, Hendrick still couldn’t help but want to be intimate with his mother.
However, Zephyr compressed his lips and said, “Don’t mention that… mommy of yours! Besides, this woman in front of you has never hurt anyone!”
“I want my mommy! I don’t want this woman to save me! I want Mommy to save me! Where’s Mommy? I want to see her!” As Hendrick said, he was about to get out of the bed.
Hendrick kept calling Harriet “Mommy”, which only made Zephyr more embarrassed.
Hendrick’s words were like a reminder of how stupid Zephyr used to be. He was so stupid that he believed Harriet’s words and didn’t have a paternity test between Harriet and Hendrick.
If Zephyr had done that, he would not have been fooled by Harriet for so many years. And things between him and Riley would not end up like this.
“Enough! Stop calling that woman. She can’t save you at all!” Zephyr shouted.
But Hendrick also became annoyed. Instead of listening to Zephyr’s words, Hendrick shouted “Mommy!” again and again.

This was her son, who had her genes and the same blood type as her. Hendrick looked like Riley and Zephyr. His face outline, eyebrows, and lips were like those of Riley’s.
“Harriet’s blood can’t save you, so now you need my blood to save you,” Riley said with a gentle voice. “Only when you get better can you do what you want to do and meet the person you want to see. Otherwise, you can do nothing except lie on the bed all day!”
Hendrick stared at Riley and suddenly asked, “Do you save me because you want to take Daddy away?”
Obviously, even in the hospital, Hendrick heard some rumors, so at first he was hostile to Riley.
After hearing this, Zephyr suddenly looked at Riley nervously.
But Riley said calmly, “No. I won’t take your daddy away. Your daddy and I will not be together. I save you just because I want to save you.”
A trace of confusion flashed in Hendrick’s eyes. “Why do you want to save me?” he asked.
“Because…” Riley hesitated for a while and continued, “When I was in trouble, someone helped me. So when others are in trouble, I also want to help them.”
“But Mommy said you were a bad person. How could the bad people want to help others?” Hendrick asked in a childish voice.
“It’s up to you to tell whether someone is a good person or a bad person.
You can’t decide anything just by hearing what people say. You’re already in elementary school, right? You should learn to think and make judgments yourself. As for whether I’m a good person or a bad person, you will know it in the future,” Riley said, straightening up and raising her hand to touch Hendrick’s head.
However, the little guy avoided Riley’s hand.
Looking at her hand in the air and Hendrick’s obviously alienated look, Riley felt a little disappointed. She thought, ‘Yeah. I’m just a bad person in his heart.

If you are unwilling, then get better and come to save me when I need help in the future. “Daddy, is she really a bad woman?” Hendrick asked in a childish voice again.

“Aren’t the people who love me the most Grandpa, Grandma, Mommy and Daddy?” Hendrick asked strangely
Zephyr touched Hendrick’s head gently and said, “In the future, you should learn to distinguish between right and wrong by yourself. Don’t be as stupid as Daddy. I once thought I knew everything, but in fact, I was the fool who knew nothing.”
If it hadn’t been for Zephyr’s self-righteousness, how could things have gone this far?
Hendrick blinked his eyes in confusion. Then he said, “Daddy is not a fool.” For Hendrick, Zephyr had always been the person he admired.
