The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1283

Chapter 1283

She felt too exhausted after so many things, and all she wanted to do was spend the rest of her life at peace with her sweet memories of Nicholas!

Riley walked to the bookshelves in the room and looked at those books. They were all Nicholas’ favorite books. Among them, she saw a book she used to like.

She didn’t expect that Nicholas would have the same one, and when she opened it, she saw a photo in it.

That was a photo of her and Nicholas!

In the photo, she was talking to Nicholas about something interesting with her head up. She smiled, and Nicholas listened to her carefully.

However, the photo was taken secretly

Riley remembered that those paparazzi had secretly taken photos of her and Nicholas, and this one was one of them. Because of these photos, the internet was full of gossip about them.

At that time, when she and Nicholas talked about it, he joked, “I suddenly realized we’ve never taken a picture together, so I guess I should thank the paparazzi for this.”

He was right. They had never taken a picture together!

That was probably why Nicholas printed this photo.

At least, this was a photo of them being together.

“Nicholas…”

Seeing the gentle face in the photo, Riley had tears in her eyes. The next second, tears welled up in her eyes and fell on the photo.

Riley hurriedly raised her hand and wiped the tears off the photo.

There was a knock on the door. Riley got up and walked to the door. She opened it and saw three women standing outside.

“Hi, Ms. Summer, I’m Judith, your stylist for tomorrow, and they’re my two assistants. Mr. Griffin asked me to communicate with you and try the dress in advance just in case there are any problems, so we can sort them out today,” said Judith.

“OK,” Riley said.

Therefore, Judith and her assistants came in and began their work. They helped Riley put on her wedding dress and did several looks before settling on one.

After a while, Peach came over with a set of jewelry. “Bruce said that when his parents were still alive, they prepared two sets of jewelry for their two future daughters-in-law. They gave me one of them when I married Bruce, and this one is for Nicholas’ wife.”

When the jewelry box was opened, a set of valuable sapphire jewelry came into Riley’s sight.

Riley stroked the jewelry gently and raised her head to say to Peach, “Thank you. I’ll wear it tomorrow and then I’ll give it back.”

“Don’t bother. Bruce said that you should keep it. Since you insist on marrying Nicholas in this way, you’re the perfect owner for this jewelry,” said Peach.

Riley looked stunning and elegant when she wore a wedding dress and elaborate makeup with her hair up.

Even Peach couldn’t take her eyes off Riley when she saw her beautiful dress.

There was no doubt that Riley was beautiful! Even after all those years she suffered in the psychiatric hospital, she still looked pretty, which showed that she was even more attractive when she was younger!

Peach thought, ‘No wonder both Zephyr and Nicholas had fallen in love with Riley!

Tomorrow, Riley’s going to marry Nicholas who had been dead for many years. I wonder how Zephyr will feel after he knows this.’

Suddenly, Peach became curious.

She wondered, “Almost everyone knows that Zephyr once courted Riley. Had his love for her gone?”

“All right, my look for tomorrow is set. By the way, I’ll wear an extra bracelet tomorrow,” said Riley.

She was going to wear the bracelet Nicholas gave to her tomorrow.

“No problem, but the wedding ring…” Judith looked a little awkward. After all, Riley had lost her right ring finger. The wedding ring was supposed to be on this finger, but now…

Riley glanced at her mutilated right hand and said with a faint smile, “Put it on my left hand, then. I still got my left ring finger.” She would wear this ring on other fingers if she lost her left ring finger, too. Anyway, she was gonna wear it.

Judith nodded.

Then Riley said to them, “I think that’s all. I’d like to be alone here for a while.”

After Judith and her assistants left the room, Peach asked, “Are you staying at the Griffin residence later, Riley?”

“No, I’m going back to the house I rented, but I want to take some of Nicholas’ clothes and his photos with me. I wish I had some of his stuff where I live.” Because by doing so, she would feel like she was living with Nicholas.

“I’ll tell Bruce and I think he’ll agree,” Peach said.

“Thank you, Peach,” Riley said hurriedly.

“You’re welcome,” Peach said and left the room.

Riley was the only one in this large bedroom now.

Riley looked at herself in the mirror. She wore a white wedding dress, elegant makeup, and luxurious jewelry. In this dress, she looked just like the ladies of the wealthiest families in the city.

She never imagined that one day she would wear a wedding dress for Nicholas.

And now, she was wearing a wedding dress in Nicholas’ room.

“Do you like my look, Nicholas?” Riley murmured. The room was full of traces of his life, but he could no longer answer her.

The Griffin family held a posthumous wedding for Riley and Nicholas in the cemetery at the Griffin residence. The guests were all relatives of the Griffin family.

The Griffin family kept it private because they didn’t want to make it a big deal.

They also told the media ahead of time not to report anything about the Griffin family recently, and that if any gossip about them came out later, they would definitely find out who did it.

It was a sunny day. Riley put on her wedding dress early in the morning and finished the look with Judith’s help.

She brought Nicholas’ photo with her and went to the cemetery.

She was smiling all the way because, for her, today was the day she had been waiting for.

When Riley got out of the car, she saw Bruce staring at her. “You can still back out now. Otherwise, when we stand in front of Nicholas’ new tombstone for the ceremony, you won’t have a chance to regret it.”
