The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1279

Chapter 1279

Her priority now was to make sure the baby was delivered successfully.

“Didn’t you say that you would go to pick up the kids in the kindergarten after you were done with the law firm?” said Jonathan. He checked the time, and it was soon time to pick up the kids.

“I left it to Gary. Well, I have something to tell you, Jonathan,” said Rosalie.

“Is it an emergency?” Jonathan put down the pen in his hand and asked with concern.

“Yes… Calvin might come back to Strico because of my pregnancy. I’m not sure.” Rosalie told Jonathan about her call with Riley.

They promised that they would be honest with each other, so she didn’t want to hide it from him.

Jonathan listened quietly and looked very calm.

“I see. Are you worried that I’ll misunderstand you?” Jonathan asked with a smile.

Rosalie nodded.

He got up and gently held her in his arms, saying, “Don’t worry. I won’t think too much. Even though he’s still in love with you, he can’t change anything.”

Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief. What she feared most was that they might misunderstand each other.

“However…” Jonathan paused, “Is it worth it to risk your life for the baby?”

Rosalie muttered, “Yes, it’s worth it. I don’t care if Hose my uterus. I’m just going to age a little faster than my peers, but I can give my kid life by doing this. Don’t you think I won?”

Jonathan sighed in his heart. He knew that she always sacrificed herself for her baby.

However, he had no right to deny her decision. Though he would have sacrificed the baby to save her, he couldn’t say what he thought when he saw her détermined look.

This time, the placenta was lucky not to be in the same spot where she had been cut during her last C-section, but it didn’t work out too well either. She got placenta previa.

This meant she would be in a lot of pain during her pregnancy, and she would most likely need to have her uterus removed during delivery.

As soon as he heard the diagnosis, he subconsciously wanted to terminate her pregnancy. They had already had three kids, and that was enough!

However, Rosalie decided to keep and baby and continue her pregnancy.

“It’s not about the number of the kids. I just think that every life is unique and I don’t want to give up on him or her. Besides, I’m going to lose my uterus, not my life. Don’t you think I’m much luckier than Amelia? She was the one who risked her life for the baby!” Rosalie said with a smile.

Jonathan couldn’t take his eyes off that smile.

From the very beginning when they met, she was a person who respected every life!

Perhaps it was precisely because of this that he was attracted to her and loved her so much.

Suddenly, Rosalie felt sick. She covered her mouth again and hurried towards the bathroom.

Seeing this, Jonathan knew that she was having another morning sickness.

Her morning sickness seemed to have been more frequent during this pregnancy than the last one. Supposedly, in the third month of pregnancy, morning sickness would gradually disappear.

Instead of going away, however, her morning sickness became more frequent.

Every time he saw her pale face, he felt very worried.

Jonathan came to the bathroom door and listened to her retching, feeling mad.

“Calvin…” he murmured, having anger in his eyes.

Even if Calvin went back to Strico, he could never drive a wedge between Jonathan and Rosalie.

Because Jonathan wouldn’t allow it!

Jonathan didn’t expect that Calvin would come to him the day after Rosalie told him about it.

“Why did you agree to continue the pregnancy?” Calvin asked directly.

Jonathan looked at him with a straight face and said, “This is between Rosalie and me, and you have no right to ask.”

“But do you know how dangerous it is for her to continue pregnancy? She may not be able to keep her uterus!” Calvin rushed to Jonathan and asked him.

Jonathan smiled slightly and said with ferocious eyes, “It seems that you’ve checked her medical record before you came to me.”

Calvin pursed his thin lips slightly. He did check her medical record, so he knew the danger she was facing now.

After knowing the dangerous situation she might be in during pregnanc his palms were in a cold sweat. He didn’t know that her pregnancy this time was such a heavy burden to her.

“I won’t repeat it, Calvin.” Jonathan said slowly, “Rosalie is my wife, and she’s having my baby. It’s up to us whether she’s going to give birth to the baby. Who are you to talk to me about it?”

Calvin froze, and it took him a while to say, “Yes, she’s your wife, and I know it better than anyone else. But you should know that I’m willing to step away because I know she loves you, and I believe that you’ll keep her safe. Now that you failed to do that and even hurt her, I won’t let her be with you anymore even if she loves you!”

“Really?” Jonathan sneered, raised his arms, and grabbed Calvin by the collar, looking very solemn. “You don’t get to say that to me because Rosalie will never love you!”

“Is that so? What makes you so confident?” Calvin also reached out and grabbed Jonathan by his collar. “I could have found her if I had gotten her name and her address! If it weren’t for the fact that you deliberately hid some of her personal information, it wouldn’t have taken me so long to recognize her as the one I’ve been looking for!”

Calvin had spent so many nights regretting it.

He regretted that he shouldn’t have been fooled so easily. He knew Rosalie before Jonathan, and they went through a lot of thrilling things from the very beginning.

At that time, although he had a thing for her, he still got the wrong girl and even hurt her.

“So you hate me, don’t you?” Jonathan asked.

Calvin said, “Of course, I hate you! If you hadn’t tricked me, I would have recognized her sooner, and she and I might have…”
