Zephyr made a fist with his right hand. He clutched the diamond bracelet so tightly that it hurt his palm.
“How important is Nicholas to you? Did you forget that you used to be my fiancée? How could you risk your life for a bracelet he gave you?” Zephyr growled lowly, and the jealousy in his heart seemed to burst through his chest.
“Nicholas could risk his life to save me, so why can’t I do the same thing for the bracelet he left to me? How dare you call me your fiancée, Zephyr? My fiance should believe me when everyone doesn’t, protect me when everyone bullies me, and help me out when I’m in despair. But what did you do?”
As she spoke, his face grew darker and darker.
“I never took you as my fiance, Zephyr. You’re just a beautiful illusion in my mind at that time,” said Riley, who used to imagine that he could always protect her and love her.

Zephyr got back into the car, lowered his head, and looked at the palm of his right hand in a daze. There were marks left by the bracelet.
He thought, ‘What’s wrong with me? Do I have to be so out of control for Riley and a bracelet?
I wasn’t acting like myself just now!’
“Go back to the Scott residence,” Zephyr closed his eyes and said tiredly.
Just thinking about Riley made his head hurt!
Riley returned to her house. She carefully checked the bracelet and put back into her jewel case.
“Wait for me, Nicholas. After everything is settled, I’ll wear this bracelet and… And I’ll never take it off,” Riley murmured.
The trial would begin in two days. Riley asked Calvin to look for the evidence, and now with the Griffin family watching it, it was not easy for the Scott family to play any tricks.

The man who was speaking was just a random reporter. He ran into Riley earlier today and tried to make up some gossip with her photo, but he didn’t expect to see Zephyr, so he took photos of them together.
Now, Zephyr was willing to pay a lot of money for those photos, which was a windfall for him.
After a while, the reporter got the money. He smiled with satisfaction and deleted all the backups of these photos on the USB disk.
After all, he was dealing with Zephyr, who he couldn’t afford to fool.
