Harriet’s words were aimed at those who helped Riley.
Riley’s gaze turned cold. “I ended up like this because I trusted my family. It was the outsiders who saved me and proved that I wasn’t mentally sick at all. So tell me, who do you think I should trust?”
“Riley, you have really gotten the wrong idea. Back then, you were really sick. The doctor’s diagnosis was very clear, and it didn’t come from just one doctor. Many other doctors made the same diagnosis too.”
At that moment, a reporter suddenly exclaimed, “Oh my God, a doctor confessed on the internet that he took bribes from the Summer family to falsely diagnose a patient as being mentally ill.”

Peter, Larissa, and Harriet were shocked by what the reporters said.
The reporters around them held up their microphones and kept bombarding them with various compromising questions.
A reporter even held up his phone that contained the doctor’s confession and asked how Peter, Larissa, and Harriet felt.
Harriet grabbed the reporter’s phone and read the text on it.
That doctor was Riley’s attending physician, who clearly listed his financial transactions with the Summer family. He even said there were recordings.
Although the recordings had not yet been released, Harriet was already drenched in cold sweat.
She thought, ‘What the hell is going on? Didn’t I ask the doctor to keep a low profile first and only emerge once the controversy has blown over? I even gave him a large sum of money.
But now, all of these have ended up as evidence against me!’
At that moment, a car arrived at the entrance of the hospital. When the bodyguards beside Riley saw the car, they immediately carved out a path for her to get in.
Even though the reporters wanted to interview Riley, they were stopped by the bodyguards.
Riley got in the car and saw Rosalie.
However, Rosalie didn’t seem to be surprised by the scene outside the window.
“You already knew what would happen here, don’t you, Rosalie?” Riley asked.
“I just got to know a short time ago that your family would be here, so I asked the bodyguards to escort you down,” Rosalie said.
“What about the confession of that doctor online…”
“The doctor was found during your two-day consultation. He confessed because we already have evidence against him. By coming clean, he hopes to lessen his sentence by several years.” Rosalie said, “After learning that your family was coming here, I asked the doctor to confess online to humiliate them.”
If Peter, Larissa, and Harriet hadn’t shown up that day, the doctor would have waited a few more days before confessing.
Riley looked at Rosalie gratefully. Rosalie had helped Riley much more than Riley thought.
Riley had thought that she would have to fight alone after her treatment ended, but now… things turned out differently from what she originally imagined.
“Thank you, Rosalie,” said Riley.
“You have thanked me many times already over the last few days.” Rosalie said, “However, there’s not much I can help you with. In a few days, I will go back to Strico, but before leaving, I will introduce some lawyer friends to you. If there are any legal problems you can consult them and they will also help you get justice.”
“You’ve helped me a lot,” Riley said. It was just that she not only wanted to seek justice for herself but also for Nicholas.
“Can I go somewhere before going to the place you arranged for me?” Riley asked.

“The Griffin residence,” Riley said.

“The Griffin family and you have nothing to talk about,” Bruce said mercilessly.
“What if the car accident was not accidental?” Riley said.
Hearing this, Bruce’s face changed immediately.
“It wasn’t accidental?”
“That’s right. It wasn’t. Nicholas was at the wheel back then. Based on his driving speed, he could have avoided the truck. Despite stepping on the brakes, he failed to dodge it. The thing was, the brakes did not fail. It just felt as if there was insufficient stopping power,” Riley elaborated.

“This is my guess, but there is no evidence. When I was discharged from the hospital back then, I went to the police station to look at the results o their investigation. I knew that the police had checked the car, but the report didn’t indicate that the brakes had problems.”
