“Yes” Rosalie said firmly. “For me, the truth is more important than anything else!”

Rosalie smiled wryly as she realized what Jonathan meant. He just wanted to help her overturn the case and didn’t care about the truth. It didn’t matter to him why Melanie crashed her car herself that day, or what she was thinking about.
Jonathan didn’t have any feelings for Melanie. Thus, even if Melanie died, what he lost was just a suitable candidate for a marriage of convenience.

Rosalie suddenly felt that she had asked a silly question. “Why did I ask him that? What’s more, this man deals with marriage like a trade. I’m afraid he won’t fall in love with anyone for the rest of his life,” she muttered inwardly.

“Why do you want to help me?” Rosalie looked at Jonathan in puzzlement. Judging from his expression, she was certain that he wasn’t just passing a casual remark but rather seriously intended to overturn the verdict for her.

Jonathan’s promise was like a huge temptation, causing Rosalie’s determination and decision to waver.
Once the verdict was reversed, Rosalie would no longer have any criminal record. It also meant that she could get back her lawyer’s license and remain a lawyer.
However, if she couldn’t prove herself innocent and clear her name definitely, she might not be able to hold her head up in
court in the future.
What made Rosalie feel ridiculous was that no one in her family, relatives, or former colleagues had ever wanted to appeal for her.

In the end,Rosalie didn’t say a word. Instead, she walked to the drawer and took out a pair of gloves, which she then handed to Jonathan “This is the glove that I promise you”
Jonathan scrutinized the gloves carefully before trying them on “They are well-knitted and feel warm, just like this scarf you knitted for me, which is comfortable to wear and keeps me warm”
“Actually, you don’t have to wear the scarf People will think that it doesn’t match your attire, anyway,” Rosalie said Jonathan’s high-end costume only made the scarf appear old-fashioned, cheap, and rough.

him.

“Is this a warning” Rosalie mused. Jonathan was warning her not to knit scarf and gloves for others in the future.
As a known fact, there were not many people in Strico who dared to ignore Jonathan’s warning.
On the day of filming as a background actor, Rosalie waited at the assembly point at the designated time previously announced in the group chat. Yulissa didn’t join the filming this time, and Rosalie also didn’t see any other familiar faces among the people who signed up for the background actors.
The organizer came on time and took attendance of the group of background actors before leading them to the film crew.
Today, the film crew was shooting in a rented manor nearby. Although it was still early, there were already many fans gathering outside the manor. Some of them held a sign with the name of their idol on it.
When Rosalie came across Yvette’s name, her heart skipped a beat. “Is Yvette playing in this film?” she mused.
The other day, the organizer posted the title of the film. Rosalie had wanted to check it out, but at that time Jonathan came and then she forgot about it.
At that moment, Rosalie somewhat regretted not checking the information about the film later on that day.
Nevertheless, she figured that she was just a background actor and probably wouldn’t have any contact with Yvette. Hence, there shouldn’t be any trouble..
