Jasper, firmly held by Warren at the collar, immediately recognized Rosalie. He blurted out those remarks in a state of desperation. After all, if he had offended the Youngblood family, his fate would be sealed!
Consequently, he resorted to slandering Amelia further, hoping to divert the Youngblood family’s anger toward her and away from himself.
However, Warren’s next words shattered Jasper’s last flicker of hope.
“Amelia is my wife! She is the only woman I will ever have as my wife. Who are you to mock her? You will pay the price for every word you uttered today!” Warren declared sternly before throwing Jasper to the ground. Warren’s gaze was condescending as he looked down at Jasper.
Jasper’s body trembled when he heard this. He just couldn’t believe what he had just heard. –
“Amelia is Warren’s wife! When did they get married? Warren just
declared in front of everyone that she is his only wife! But Alicia told me that Amelia runs a concession stand and lives in the house behind it. How did she become Warren’s wife?” Jasper wondered.
At this point, regardless of how Amelia had become Warren’s wife, Jasper realized that he and the Yustone family were screwed.
Meanwhile, Alicia, who was standing nearby, was utterly stunned.
“Amelia is Warren’s wife? Wasn’t she his mistress? How is this even possible? How could Warren marry a woman who had been in prison? Even if Amelia was wrongfully convicted, it’s undeniable that she spent more than three years in prison!” Alicia thought with disbelief.
As Alicia observed Amelia standing next to Warren, shielded by his careful protection, jealousy surged within her.
“Why? We both have a prison record, yet how can Amelia marry Warren while I can’t even secure a commitment from Ryan?” she silently questioned.
“It appears your friend is truly extraordinary.” Ryan’s voice echoed in Alicia’s ear. “I never anticipated her being Warren’s legal wife. You used to say you had a close bond with her and helped her a lot in prison. Why didn’t she mention any of this to you?”

Alicia felt deeply embarrassed. She had believed she knew Amelia well, but the reality was entirely different. “How could Amelia keep such
important news from me? She must been waiting to see me make a fool of myself!” Alicia thought bitterly.
After all, if the statements Jasper had made were instead voiced by Alicia, she would have been deeply humiliated.
“You must continue to ingratiate yourself with your friend as much as possible in the future. The Golding family could potentially forge a connection with the York family through you,” Ryan advised. “If the Golding family can align itself with the York family, you will reap the benefits, too. Don’t disappoint me again.”
Alicia shivered at his warning. For the first time, as she looked at the man beside her, a strong wave of resentment surged in her heart.
“I’ve put in so much effort, yet I end up with a man like Ryan? I’m not less competent than Amelia in any aspect. In fact, I’m younger and more beautiful. So why is there such a stark difference between my fate and Amelia’s?” Alicia thought bitterly.
“Alright, I understand,” Alicia replied obediently, concealing the turmoil in her eyes.
Meanwhile, everything that transpired made Jasper seem like a mere farce.
Rosalie took charge of handling the aftermath. As long as the guests had no desire to offend the Youngblood family, they would refrain from sharing the farce that unfolded that day, and ensure no rumors surfac online either.
On the other hand, Warren instructed the driver to take Amelia, Matilda and Aiden back to the concession stand, with him following them all the way from his car.
Even after witnessing Amelia, Matilda, and Aiden enter their property, Warren’s car remained parked not far from the concession stand. He gazed obsessively at the lights shining inside the property.
In the past, Warren had often found solace in this vantage point, staring at the lights within the property. It made him feel intimately connected to Amelia. On fortunate nights, he could catch a glimpse of her stepping out to dispose of the garbage.

He ran up to the car and gently knocked on the door.
Warren was taken by surprise by Aiden’s sudden appearance. He swiftly opened the car door and stepped out. “What’s the matter? Is something wrong with your mother?” His voice was laced with clear concern, and his body instinctively leaned toward the concession stand, ready to rush in that direction.
“No, Mommy is okay.” Aiden then looked at his father with a serious expression and said, “Thank you for protecting Mommy tonight.”
When Jasper appeared that day, Aiden had wanted to protect his mother. However, before he could take any action, his father acted swiftly and shielded her.
When the evil man uttered a string of hurtful words about his mother, Aiden realized that simply knowing how to fight wouldn’t always suffice to protect her.
He felt that, at his tender age, he still couldn’t truly shield his mother.
However, when his father proclaimed that his mother was the only wife in his life and vowed to make the malicious man pay for his words at that moment, the evil man’s expression visibly shifted. He even crumbled to the ground in fear.
