The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1126

Chapter 1126

Initially, she desired to have more children to bring more liveliness to the family, but if it would prolong his fear, she thought she might as well settle for just one child.

“Anyway, Callum loves you very much. Lillian, you made the right choice,” Rosalie uttered.

“I know, right?” Lillian smiled. “He truly made many sacrifices for me. I’ll cherish him for the rest of my life.”

While they were talking, a loud noise came from outside the lounge. Lillian frowned and asked, “What’s going on outside?”

“Let’s go and take a look,” Rosalie suggested.

They exited the lounge and observed a group of individuals carrying several boxes into the banquet hall. Leading them was Boven -Woolbright, a young boy from the Woolbright family, and he was

accompanied by a middle-aged man named Rufus.

The guests in the banquet hall were taken aback by what they saw, and they began to wonder who the boy was.

Some of them immediately recognized that the boxes were crafted from high-quality Dalbergia wood, and the intricately carved patterns on the boxes showcased exquisite artistry. That increased their curiosity even more, as they were eager to discover the contents within the wooden boxes.

Boven walked up to Lillian and Callum and greeted them politely. “Nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. White. My father asked me to deliver the gifts over today.”

“Your father?” Lillian.murmured, realizing that she had yet to meet the child’s parents.

“My father said that now that the arranged marriage has been finalized, we should provide gifts that are commensurate with this decision to ensure everything proceeds according to plan.” The boy spoke rationally, resembling an adult.

Rufus stepped forward and handed Callum a gift list. “This is the wedding gift list from the Woolbright family. These boxes only contain a portion of the gifts, and we’ll send the rest over in the coming days.”

An uproar broke out in the banquet hall as the crowd was astonished by the revelation that the contents of the exquisite boxes constituted only a small portion of the wedding gifts.

Instantly, their curiosity about the Woolbright family was piqued, as they realized that they were no ordinary family,

Observing that Callum accepted the gift list without objection, everyone immediately understood that an arranged marriage had been made between Yasmin and the young boy in a suit!

Some of the guests, who had considered arranging marriages for their young sons to marry Yasmin when they came of age, conceded that the young boy from the Woolbright family was not only more handsome than all the boys his age but also hailed from an influential family.

Among the families in attendance, only a few had the means to present gifts in such exquisite wooden boxes.

Lillian greeted Boven and Rufus, and when she was about to lead them to

their table, Boven walked straight to the cradle to take a look at Yasmin.

It seemed to him that Yasmin was all he cared about, and he could not care less about the banquet.

Boven never enjoyed attending such occasions as he disliked being surrounded by strangers. However, since his father told him that many people were paying attention to Yasmin, it was essential for him to come and protect his future wife from being taken by others.

Boven was pleased to see how soundly Yasmin was sleeping in the cradle.

It was the first time the triplets and Aiden had seen Boven. Jennifer could not help but ask curiously, “What are these wedding gifts all about?” She had no clue about their significance.

A corner of the Boven’s curled up, but he did not bother to explain to her at all.

It was Aiden who eventually answered Jennifer’s query. “It’s a tradition where the man brings gifts to the woman’s family and expresses his intention to marry her. If she accepts the gifts, it signifies her willingness to marry him.”

Although Aiden was only in the third grade of elementary school, he had gained knowledge in this area because he did a lot of reading.

Jennifer appeared to have grasped a significant portion of his explanation. She understood that a married couple would have children and live together for the rest of their lives, just like her parents.

Suddenly, Yasmin woke up and began crying. It was evident that she was hungry and in need of some milk.

Boven immediately reached out and carried Yasmin out of the cradle.

It was unusual that the little baby, who had been wailing just a moment ago, suddenly stopped crying and gazed at Boven with her deep, dark

eyes.

Boven skillfully held the baby, displaying experience in handling infants. Before long, he took the milk powder from the nanny and fed the baby.

It was unusual for a child of seven or eight years to feed an infant who was only one month old with such skill and expertise. He did it in a way that suggested he had a lot of experience.

For a moment, the crowd was struck dumb by what they saw.

Boven paid no mind to the onlookers surrounding him, his focus solely on Yasmin. After Yasmin finished her milk, he gently patted her back to help her burp. Once again, the guests were surprised to witness his

competence.

At that moment, the guests realized that the boy from the Woolbright family was likely the future son-in-law of the White family. The fact that the White family trusted him and allowed him to care for the baby for an extended period suggested they were accustomed to seeing him in action.

It was obvious that the young boy from the Woolbright family had carried the baby many times before that.

When the banquet concluded, Amelia said her goodbyes to Lillian. As Rosalie was about to mention that she had arranged for a driver to take them home, Warren was already ahead of her. “I’ll have the driver take them home.”

Observing that Amelia had no intention of arguing, Rosalie decided to remain silent.

As Warren, Amelia, Matilda, and Aiden exited the hotel, a figure suddenly rushed out. Upon seeing Warren, the person began apologizing repeatedly. “Mr. York, I was acting arrogantly the other day. Please have mercy and let the Yustone family go!”

Amelia took a closer look and realized that the man was Jasper Yustone, the same individual they had encountered in the private room the other day.

At that moment, Jasper appeared entirely different from how he had looked that day. Now, his chin was covered in stubble, and his hair was disheveled.

Warren stepped forward and stood in front of Jasper. “Why are you asking for my forgiveness? The York family has no business connections with the Yustone family, so there’s no need for this.”
