Chapter 1091
Rosalie’s expression grew increasingly solemn. After all, witnessing Felix telling lies was the last thing she wanted.
“But nothing is certain yet. I’ll have someone check the house later to see if anything is making a sound. Maybe we all missed something,” Lillian suggested.
“Are you telling me that the three of us and Aiden all missed it?” Rosalie found the probability too small.
Lillian chuckled, “Well, I know you don’t want it to be Felix’s doing, but what if he really did it? Maybe he didn’t intend to push Aiden down the stairs, but just wanted to startle him. After all, kids often don’t think about the consequences of their pranks!”
Rosalie let out a sigh. “If Felix is truly responsible for this, and the ‘sound’ was just his fabrication, perhaps we need to follow Jon’s suggestion and return him to Wyatt. Those might be the best course of action,” she pondered.
As night descended, Felix lay curled up on his bed, feeling the weight of the past two days when Jennifer hadn’t spared him a single glance. Despite sharing the same dining table, she treated him like he was invisible.
The manor’s housekeepers had observed it all, and their disdainful looks spoke volumes. Even when some of their children bullied him, the housekeepers, who used to scold and intervene in the past, now turned a blind eye.
The news of him allegedly pushing Aiden down the stairs had spread like wildfire within the manor. The housekeepers’ children had started hurling insults at him, urging him to leave the house.
“Is Jen giving up on me? Does she no longer want to play with me?” Huddled under the covers, Felix felt a chilling isolation. Memories of when he and Jennifer shared a bed, with him spinning tales, flooded his mind, and a longing for those days enveloped him.
These days, he immersed himself in continuous piano practice, hoping to play better, more intricate melodies to win more of her affection.
“But now, all she does is glare at me furiously, as if I’m some devilish child! In her eyes, I must be despicable,” Felix mused sadly, huddling his

small frame even tighter, seeking comfort from the loneliness that had taken root.
The next day, in kindergarten, Felix summoned his courage and confronted Jennifer. “Jen, please don’t ignore me.” His pitiful tone and look made him look like an abandoned puppy.
Jennifer looked at Felix and said, “Then why did you have to push Aido down the stairs?”
“I didn’t push him down the stairs. I… I just heard a sound coming toward him, and I wanted to push him away. I didn’t mean to push him down the stairs,” he explained.
“You’re not telling the truth. Aido said he didn’t hear any sound!” Jennifer’s frustration increased.
Felix’s face turned extremely pale. “I… I didn’t lie. It’s true… There was a sound. And, by the way, doesn’t Aiden have a hearing problem? Maybe he couldn’t hear the sound…”
“Aiden was wearing his hearing aid that day. He could hear any sound if there’s any!” Jennifer countered. “Felix, you refuse to admit your mistake and lie to me. I hate you!”
After saying this, she turned and ran away, leaving Felix alone in a daze.
“She… hates me now?” Suddenly, he felt an overwhelming sense of discomfort. “If she despises me, what’s left of me?” he wondered aloud.
Guillermo stood not far away, his eyes resembling Jonathan’s, deep in thought as he stared at Felix.
Throughout his day in kindergarten, Felix found himself in a haze. Jennifer’s “I hate you!” echoed repeatedly in his mind.
“I don’t want her to hate me! I’ll do anything to make her not hate me anymore.” Felix was determined.
As the school day ended, Rosalie, occupied with some matters, entrusted the task of picking up the three children to Gary. The kids sat in the minivan, and on the way home, Felix tried to steal glances at Jennifer. However, she remained unresponsive, engrossed in conversation with Guillermo about things in their kindergarten.
Upon returning to the Youngblood residence and getting
out of the car,
Felix cautiously grabbed Jennifer’s sleeve and said, “If… if I apologize to

Aiden, you won’t hate me anymore?”
“Then you’re willing to admit that you deliberately pushed Aido downstairs and lied on purpose, right? Jennifer asked.
Felix’s small body stiffened, and his face turned red, but the word “yes” couldn’t escape his lips. He thought indignantly, “I didn’t do it, and did not lie. Why should I admit to something I didn’t do?”
Observing Felix’s reluctance, Jennifer angrily shook him off and walked towards the manor.
Felix, with his head down, followed slowly behind. “I’ve messed up once more. If I had said ‘yes’ earlier, maybe she wouldn’t be angry. If I admitted everything and apologized, she wouldn’t hate me anymore, right? We could return to the way things were before!” His mind swirled with such thoughts.
At that moment, a small stone suddenly struck Felix, causing him to halt in pain as he covered the spot where he was hit.
“Your mom is evil, so you must be evil, too!”
“Yeah, why don’t you just leave? Are you going to push us down the stairs in the future? Oh no, we’re so scared!”
“What are you staring at? We hit you, so what are you going to do?”
Several older children of the manor’s housekeepers were nearby, and one of them picked up a small stone from the ground, hurling it at Felix once again.
The stone hit him once more, causing him pain.
He glared fiercely at the group. “I didn’t push anyone downstairs!”
“Still not admitting it? So shameless!”
“You’re a lying expert!”
“That’s right. The young miss herself said that he pushed Aiden downstairs!” they chimed.
Then, another child picked up a stone and threw it at Felix.
Felix evaded the hurled stones, but despite his efforts, several still found their mark. “It hurts!” he cried out inwardly, the pain biting into him.

“I-didn’t push anyone! I didn’t!” Felix vehemently denied.
However, his denial had no effect whatsoever.
He charged forward, wanting to confront the children who threw stones. at him.
But they were all older than him, and he didn’t stand a chance. In the end, he was knocked down by them.
“You’re still lying. Admit it now! It was you! Your Mommy does bad things, and so do you! Admit that you pushed Aiden downstairs!” The children taunted Felix as they continued to attack him.
