Chapter 1076
“The results of the current consultation are as follows. Some of the stimulation treatments we’ve attempted have shown no effect on the patient,” explained the doctor.
Upon hearing this, Stephen and Abigail broke down in tears.
Callum remained completely composed, appearing dazed, and his eyes conveyed a profound silence.
However, his unnerving calmness heightened Rosalie’s concern.
It might have been easier if Callum had displayed his emotions like Stephen and Abigail, but his restrained demeanor worried her even
more.
Rosalie was anxious that Callum might resort to extreme measures, so she addressed him, “Lillian won’t remain in this unconscious state. If the doctors in Strico can’t help her, we’ll search the entire country if needed or even seek out the world’s leading doctors. Don’t lose hope. Lillian and her child both depend on you.”
“The child…” Rosalie’s words seemed to trigger something in Callum. He suddenly laughed and retorted, “Why do I need this child? If it weren’t for this child, Lillian wouldn’t be in a coma like this. This child shouldn’t even have been-”
Smack!
A resounding slap landed on Callum’s face, delivered by Rosalie.
“Callum White, Lillian risked her life to bring this child into the world. When she wakes up and learns that you resent the daughter she cherished more than anything, how do you think she’ll feel? Will she regret loving the wrong person?” Rosalie admonished.
Callum staggered backward, his eyes reflecting the torment of love and resentment tearing him apart. Eventually, he collapsed onto the couch, utterly dejected.
Rosalie sighed and left the ward, her hand still aching from the force of the slap she had delivered. It had been a powerful blow, and she had used all her strength. But she couldn’t bear the thought of Callum resenting the newborn baby.

That child was Lillian’s most precious treasure.
Meanwhile, Amelia, who had left the ward with Rosalie, fell into deep contemplation, lost in thought.
“What’s wrong, Amelia?” Rosalie inquired.
“I’m wondering if that little boy could awaken Lillian. When I was in the delivery room, he fed Lillian a small amount of his blood, and she regained consciousness. Given her current condition, perhaps if we were to administer some of the boy’s blood now…” Amelia voiced her idea.
Rosalie’s eyes suddenly sparkled. “You’re right! The boy, why didn’t I think of him sooner?” she mused.
“Yes, we must find him. We need to locate that little boy. Maybe he can save Lillian!” Rosalie exclaimed excitedly to Amelia. “I’m going to find Jon right now and ask him to figure out a way to locate the boy.”
With those words, Rosalie hurried out of the hospital. Amelia let out a small sigh of relief as she watched her friend depart.
She hoped they could find the little boy and that he could truly rouse Lillian from her unconscious state.
“Jonathan… should be able to figure out a way to find the little boy,” Amelia thought. After a while, she hesitantly took out her phone and dialed Warren’s number.
“Warren, I hope you can do me a favor!”
In the following days, the Youngblood family, White family, and York family all embarked on a relentless search for the enigmatic little boy. They started from the hospital’s surveillance cameras, combed through the area, and scoured almost every inch of Strico.
However, their efforts proved fruitless.
The little boy had clearly mastered the art of evading surveillance, deliberately steering clear of locations with surveillance cameras after leaving the hospital.
Upon hearing the updates from Jonathan’s team, Rosalie couldn’t help but feel anxious and blame herself. “If only I had known, I would have held onto that boy’s hand that day and never let go!”
Had she done so, they might not be grappling with the challenge of

locating the boy now.
She had sensed the boy’s uniqueness from the start, but she couldn’t even pinpoint when he had left the delivery room.
“Don’t blame yourself. Your focus was on Lillian and her child,” Jonathan reassured her. “And as long as the boy remains in Strico, we can
eventually find him.”
“But I fear that the longer this search takes, the harder it will be to wake Lillian.” Rosalie sighed.
Initially, the little boy had rekindled Callum’s hope. However, in these past few days, Rosalie could sense that Callum was once again being consumed by despair.
“But, according to your accounts of the incidents, it appears the child cares deeply about Lillian’s baby,” Jonathan suddenly said.
“Yes, when Lillian’s fetal movements were intense, the boy appeared suddenly. Placing his hand on Lillian’s stomach seemed to calm the baby, and after that, if the boy hadn’t cleared the baby’s airway, the child might have suffocated.” Rosalie contemplated and added, “Considering the child’s attachment to the baby, can we try using the baby as bait to draw him out?”
Since they couldn’t find him, Rosalie thought it might be wise to take the initiative and entice him to reveal himself.
Jonathan’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he sported a smile. “It’s worth a try.”
Following this decision, a news report about the newborn daughter of Callum, the chairman of the White Maple Group, in critical condition was published in the newspaper. The situation quickly escalated online.
After the report was published, two figures, one tall and one short, appeared in the pediatrics department late at night.
“You came just as we expected,” Rosalie remarked, gazing at the little boy in front of her, accompanied by the middle-aged man she had seen earlier.
The boy fixed his gaze on those before him and blinked his large, expressive eyes, almost as if he understood the situation. “So you sent out that report? Trying to lure me out?”

“Yes,” Rosalie admitted, “because we couldn’t find you, we had to resort to this method.”
“So, the baby isn’t in critical condition?” inquired the boy.
“The baby is stable,” Rosalie responded. “We brought you here hoping you could save the baby’s mother. She has been in a coma since giving birth and hasn’t woken up. You managed to rouse her from her coma during delivery. Do you have a way to awaken her now?” Rosalie pleaded. Nearly all their hopes rested on this mysterious boy. “If you can save Lillian, we’ll do our best to accommodate your requests.”
However, the little boy responded coldly, “I refuse.” It seemed he was indifferent to Lillian’s fate.
