The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1017

Chapter 1017

“Okay,” Wyatt said simply and ended the call. He opened the car door, got out, and walked toward the small figure in the crowd.

When Wyatt reached his son and the woman who had helped make the call, the woman seemed momentarily surprised. She hadn’t expected the child’s father to arrive so quickly, and he was remarkably handsome.

“Thank you. I’ve come to pick up my son,” Wyatt said to the woman.

“Oh… You’re welcome.” The woman’s face blushed slightly.

Wyatt took Felix’s hand and said, “Let’s go.”

The child obediently followed his biological father to the nearby parked car.

Once inside the car, Wyatt asked casually, “So, have you made up your mind to return to Lommore with me?”

Felix’s head shook, “I… I want to borrow some money from you.”

“Borrow money?” Wyatt seemed to find it amusing. “You want to borrow money from me?”

“Yes,” Felix replied somewhat uncomfortably, biting his lower lip.

Wyatt stared at him and asked, “If you ask me for money, what will you use to repay me?” Felix’s face showed embarrassment. He realized he had no means to repay the money.

Even if he tried to earn some as a street performer, he didn’t have a piano.

“If you’re willing to return to Lommore with me, then I can lend you the money,” Wyatt said.

Lommore? Felix’s small body stiffened, and he firmly shook his head. “I… I don’t want to go to Lommore.” He wanted to stay with Jennifer.

“So, you just want to stay at the Youngblood residence? Look at you now, completely dependent on others, unable even to afford a gift. What’s the point of staying?”

Hearing Wyatt’s words, Felix was stunned. He gazed wide-eyed at the person in front of him.

“Why? Don’t you want to borrow money from me to buy a birthday gift for Jennifer?” Wyatt questioned.

Felix stammered, “H-How did you know?”

“I’m your father, and I naturally know what you’re thinking. So, if I don’t lend you money, what’s your plan? You won’t even be able to produce a decent gift. How do you think Jennifer will see you then?”

Felix lowered his head in silence.

“Okay, you’ve been out long enough. I’ll take you back now. Otherwise, your kindergarten teacher will be worried,” Wyatt said, instructing the driver to head to the kindergarten.

When Felix returned to the kindergarten, the teacher had already noticed his absence and was reviewing the surveillance footage.

As soon as Jennifer saw him, she immediately rushed to him and hugged him. “Felix, why did you go outside? The teachers told us not to go out alone because bad people might take us.”

“I…, Felix remained silent, feeling embarrassed about going out to see if he could buy a gift for her. But the things he wanted to buy cost too much, and he had no money.

Just then, Jennifer noticed Wyatt. “Thank you for bringing Felix back, sir.”

“You’re thanking me?” Wyatt chuckled lightly. He fixed his gaze on Jennifer. This girl, perhaps, was the reason his son didn’t want to leave the Youngblood residence. “I don’t need you to thank me.” Jennifer looked at the man in front of her with a puzzled expression. She felt like she had seen him before but couldn’t place it. She had no idea the familiarity might have been due to the resemblance. between Felix and Wyatt.

Wyatt continued to gaze at Felix. “I hope you will leave the Youngblood family when you come to see me next time.”

When he said this, Jennifer was immediately stunned. She quickly pulled Felix behind her, like a mother

hen protecting her chick. However, she was just a five-year-old child, not much taller than Felix. “Felix would never want to leave my home! Who are you, sir?” Her sixth sense told her that this mant might take Felix away.

“I am…” Wyatt began to speak, but Felix suddenly exclaimed loudly, “I won’t leave!”

Wyatt gazed at Felix for a moment and then slowly uttered, “Is that so?” as if mocking something. Without saying more, Wyatt turned and left. Jennifer hugged and kissed Felix, saying, “I knew never leave me!”

Guillermo, who had been silent, continued to stare at Wyatt’s departing figure, lost in thought. In the evening, Jennifer brought her little pillow and blanket to Felix’s room and squeezed onto his bed.

The Youngblood family had become accustomed to Jennifer sleeping over at Felix’s place every night.

“Felix, why did that man say that the next time you look for him, it’s because you want to leave the Youngblood residence? Who is he? Have you met him before?” Jennifer asked.

Even though the man had left, that feeling of unease still lingered within her

“I…” Felix clenched his teeth and looked at those clear eyes. He was about to speak the truth but instead said, “I don’t know him. I’ve never met him before.”

He didn’t want her to know about his biological father. If everyone found out he had a father, he might not be able to stay at the Youngblood residence.

“I… I don’t know why he said that. I won’t leave here. Jen, didn’t you say we’re friends, and I should stay here forever?” Felix’s voice stuttered as he struggled with his words.

“Yes.” Jennifer’s face lit up with a radiant smile. “We’re friends, and you can stay here forever. I’ll be very good to you, Felix!”

Her smile warmed Felix’s heart, but it was also tinged with a sense of guilt for lying to her.

He wanted to stay here, no matter what.

The Youngblood triplets’ birthday banquet had become a hot topic in Strico lately.

Many people had only known about the Youngblood family’s eldest son but were now learning that there were triplets. This birthday banquet would be the first time the triplets made a public appearance.

The Youngblood family was cautious about revealing their appearances, and all media and journalists were kept outside the party venue. Everyone understood that any photos or videos revealing the triplets’ faces would be heavily pixelated to protect their identities.

Anyone who revealed the triplets’ faces wouldn’t be able to survive in Strico.
