The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 1012

Chapter 1012

Rosalie and Lillian went to Amelia’s concession stand.

At about 2 p.m., the business was somewhat slow. Amelia looked at Lillian’s happy face and was also happy for Lillian.

Finally, Lillian was going to enjoy a good life after going through so much and would not end up like her.

Amelia said, “When your baby is born, it will be more lively. You and Callum are back together now. Where do you plan to settle down when you get married?”

“Maybe mainly it’s still Strico. Callum said that my parents are used to living in Strico, so they might not be used to moving to Sloummont. If I were to separate from my parents, I am also afraid that my parents would miss me too much, so he said that White Maple Group would also set up an additional headquarters here in Strico,” Lillian said.

Amelia said, “Callum really cares about you. You and Rosalie are living a good life now. I’m also happy for both of you.”

“Amelia, you’re always happy for us. Have you ever thought about yourself?” Lillian said.

“Me?” Amelia was stunned for a moment.

“You always insist that your intention is to stick around with Aiden and manage this concession stand. This concession stand of yours is doing well now, but Aiden is growing up and the expenses will only increase in the future. Besides, Mrs. Haab is getting older. If she gets sick later, you will have to pay for medical expenses,” Lillian said.

Amelia’s eyes darkened. It was not that Amelia had never thought about what Lillian said before. But Amelia’s ability was limited. Now, such a peaceful life was already a luxury for her.

“Amelia, have you ever thought about doing other business? For example, starting up a restaurant or something similar. Lillian and I can invest and provide the money. You will be responsible for the management, just consider it a sweat equity. If things go well down the road, you can even open a chain restaurant. It’s much better than running a concession stand.”

Amelia naturally knew that those two best friends wanted to help her. However, she had never been one to take advantage of others. With that, it was obvious that the two friends came to give he

money. Upon seeing Amelia hesitating, Rosalie said, “Amelia, you can think about it. You don’t need to give us an answer immediately. Anyway, there is no hurry for starting up a restaurant.”

“Thank you. I’ll give it a careful consideration.” When Amelia was talking, her phone suddenly rang. Amelia picked up the phone and listened for a moment. Then, her expression changed, and she hurriedly said, “Okay, I see. I’ll be right there.”

After saying that, Amelia hurriedly got up and said to Rosalie and Lillian, “Sorry, I can’t entertain you anymore. I have to go to school now. Aiden got into a bit of trouble.”

“Aiden? What happened to him?” Rosalie and Lillian also hurriedly asked.

“I was told that he fought classmates at school. The homeroom teacher asked me to go there now.” As Amelia was talking, she called out for Matilda, who was initially taking a nap on the inside, asking her to watch over the concession stand. Then, Amelia packed up her things and was prepared to go to school.

Rosalie and Lillian also followed along and went to school together.

When they arrived at the teaching department, they only saw Aiden’s school uniform. The zipper was already torn, one of the sleeves was also ripped, and many parts of his body were stained with dust. His face was red and swollen, and there was a cut on the corner of his lips.

Amelia rushed forward and looked at her son, Aiden, with distress. “What’s the matter? Why did you fight?”

But Aiden did not say a word. Instead, he lowered his head and seemed to be uneasy. He was holding that dirty hem tightly with his hands that were drooping by his sides.

Amelia was stunned for a moment. “Aiden, what’s wrong? Tell me what happened?”

But Aiden still continued to lower his head.

It was Rosalie who suddenly found that the hearing aid Aiden was supposed to wear on his ear had disappeared.

Rosalie frowned and went forward to hold Aiden’s cheeks gently. She asked, “Where is your hearing aid?” Why is it missing?”

She knew that Aiden could understand lip-reading.

Aiden’s face turned pale. At that moment, both Amelia and Lillian also noticed that the hearing aid was missing.

“What’s going on? Why is the hearing aid gone?” Amelia asked.

The homeroom teacher next to them said, “Well, Aiden fought with his classmates. As a result, the hearing aid accidentally fell into the school’s drain and was difficult to find.”

“What the hell is going on? Why are they fighting?” Rosalie looked at the homeroom teacher and asked. “Well, Aiden’s hearing aid accidentally fell to the ground. A student picked it up and gave it back to Aiden, but when the student tried to return it to him, he ended up fighting the student and got other students involved as well. Finally, when they were fighting each other, the hearing aid fell into the drain.” The homeroom teacher was talking about what had happened.

Rosalie frowned. Aiden was not a child who would fight with others for no reason. It seemed that the matter might not be as the teacher described.

Sure enough, when Rosalie looked at Aiden, she could only see that his face showed an expression of being accused. Rosalie knew that even if Aiden could not hear sound with his ears, Aiden could “see” what the homeroom teacher said.

“Have you investigated the reason behind Aiden’s fight? And if Aiden is here, where are the classmates who fought with him?” Rosalie asked.

“The children are in the infirmary receiving treatment and will come over soon. I also informed their parents. Later, Aiden and you, Ms. Haab, need to apologize to them sincerely. If they request

compensation for medical expenses, you can compensate them. I think they are not unreasonable, and we can resolve the matter this way,” the homeroom teacher said.

Rosalie said, “So can we also ask the other party to compensate for the hearing aid and request the other party to apologize to Aiden?”

The homeroom teacher was obviously unhappy. “Who are you? I’m talking to Aiden and Ms. Haab.” “I’m Aiden’s godmother and also a friend of Amelia. Of course, I need to understand the details. Why should Aiden be the one to apologize and compensate the other party for the medical expenses, when the other party doesn’t need to compensate and apologize at all?” Rosalie said coldly.

“Of course, it was because of Aiden who started the fight. Of course, he should apologize, and his parents should be responsible for the compensation,” the homeroom teacher replied.

“Why did you come to this conclusion? What about witnesses and evidence? Or is it solely based on what the other party involved in the fight said?” Rosalie asked.

“That student is the class vice president, and several other students who were affected also unanimously said that it was Aiden who caused trouble,” the homeroom teacher answered.

“But they already had a conflict with Aiden. Even if their testimonies are presented in a court, the judge might not necessarily believe them, but you seem to have unwavering trust in them!” Rosalie said. “You…” The homeroom teacher’s displeasure became even more obvious as he held his breath.

“What? Are you suggesting that my son and his friends would lie? It seems like you’re inclined to take this to court. Fine, I’m curious to see how the judge will decide!” A voice suddenly sounded at the door of the office.
