Georgia said with a stern face, “Then how did you both end up in the lake together? Efren, are you just trying to deceive me like fooling a little girl again?”
“How can I deceive you like fooling a little girl? Would a little

Efren lowered himself to half–squat on the bedside, gazing directly into Georgia’s eyes.

he felt his heart fill with warmth.
However, he was overwhelmed with fear.
He had also gone into the water to save Freya and knew how complex and dangerous the lake’s bottom was. There were

He wouldn’t know what to do if Georgia had been hurt while trying to save him.
