The meal left me all warm and fuzzy, and Oscar was such a chatterbox that the mood was really upbeat
Then drove to Evergreen Park, the biggest park in Rosemont, with a massive artificial lake that’s absolutely gorgeous when it’s full of yellow water lilies In summer. In winter, the lake freezes over, and birds sometimes perch on the ice. People buy some bread, crumble it up, and throw it on the ice for the birds to peck at
Oscar also bought two loaves of bread and handed one to me, “Trene, you feed them too”

After we finished feeding the birds, we strolled around the park. I don’t usually go out for walks, but despite the cold, I was really enjoying myself.

Oscar nodded, and we continued climbing in silence
By the time we reached the top, I was sweaty all over After taking off my coat, the cold wind made me feel really refreshed
Looking down at the snow–covered Obsidian Spire, it was truly beautiful. The town of Rosemont below looked like a winter wonderland, sparkling under the clear sunlight
“Irene, let me take some photos for you” Oscar put down his backpack and handed me his kitten, “How about taking some photos with the kitten?”
I leaned against the railing, took the kitten, and smiled at him, “Sure, let’s do it”
Oscar was quite good at photography I had seen the photos he took of Bonnie on his Instagram before. After taking a dozen or so photos, he said, “All right, come take a look”
As I was carefully selecting the best shots, someone stood in front of us I looked up.
Russel appeared before me like a ghost, with a group of his colleagues not far behind sneakily looking our way
“Russel, what are you doing here?” I was totally surprised
“I’m just hanging out with my colleagues Russel wasn’t looking at me but at Oscar, “You’re hanging out with Bonnie’s ex again?”
This guy was getting more and more rude What’s his problem?
Oscar’s face changed slightly, and he looked at Russel with hostility. He didn’t like it when people talked like that.
“Oscar and I are friends too, it’s perfectly normal for us to go hiking together. Plus, he and Bonnie have been broken up for a while now. You don’t need to refer to him like that, I looked at Russel unhappily, “Let me reintroduce him. His name is Oscar”
“Are you divorced from Neil yet? Russel didn’t seem to care about my displeasure and instead asked me
The mention of that got me riled up. Since Oscar was in the know, I didn’t need to beat around the bush, so I vented my dissatisfaction straight up, “Why are you asking me about that? I’ve drafted three or four divorce agreements, but he won’t sign. Didn’t I ask you to persuade him to divorce me? Well, go persuade him!”
Oscar looked at me in surprise again, probably not expecting me to discuss this matter openly in front of him.
Thinking about how angry Neil was when he rushed to Bonnie’s house, I felt no regrets at all

“I’m not mad, I just think this guy is unreasonable. Why is he always against me?” I said deliberately for Russel to hear..
It was Neil who was at fault. Why was Russel always blaming me?
Russel’s gaze darkened a bit, and I got the feeling he was angry, but it wasn’t very obvious.
Just then, a woman called out, “Dr. Russel,” and Russel turned his head. A young woman wearing the same style of couple’s jacket walked over. The adoration in ber eyes when she looked at Russel was
practically overflowing
Since I had stayed in the hospital for a few days, I recognized her. She was a nurse and had given me injections before.
“We’re all set for the barbecue Let’s go The woman’s voice was sweet.
“All right” Russel’s reply was rather cold, and he left without a second glance.
After watching them walk away. Oscar suddenly said. “Irene, be careful with him.”
1 looked at him puzzled
He said in a serious tone, “Just a man’s intuition, but I think he might be after your friend”
“Hahaha.” I couldn’t help but laugh. Oscar was just like my female friends. His misunderstanding of Russel was too deep.
“Why are you laughing? Oscar asked awkwardly.
“Oscar, if you said Russel was after Bonnie, I might believe you, got it?” I patted Oscar on the arm, “Let’s go. Let’s see what else there is to do on the top
of the mountain”
We looked around and found that aside from the view, there wasn’t much else to do.
Russel and his colleagues came prepared and set up a barbecue in the cold wind. I couldn’t believe he would participate in such an event.
And there were a bunch of pretty girls flocking around Russel, who seemed to be quite popular.
Too bad he didn’t seem to be paying them much attention.
“Oscar, let’s go down the mountain” I lost interest in staying and casually told Oscar.
Oscar nodded and followed me down the mountain.
By the time we got down, it was getting dark. Before leaving, I could tell Oscar had something he wanted to say to me. But I was feeling annoyed and didn’t want to add to my troubles, so I didn’t wait for him to speak and just drove off.
I saw through the rear–view mirror that Oscar was standing by the side of the road, not moving.
A pang of guilt hit me again I thought I should stop giving Oscar false hopes.
I decided I was going to file lor divorce with Neill
After I had this idea, I went home and immediately blabbed to a few of my gal pals. They were super pumped after hearing it, and Alicia even hooked me up with a lawyer who specializes in divorce cases.
So, under the guidance of this lawyer, I started to prepare the lawsuit
Two days later, I handed over the suit to the court. If all goes well, Neil will be notified in a week. Regardless of how he will respond, I’ve made up my mind I gotta get this divorce.
As for my parents and in–laws, I’ll deal with them when the time comes.
