Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled Chapter 305

Chapter 305

Chapter 305

“I just accidentally deleted it…” Bonnie shot a pitiful look, her eyes as beautiful as crescent moons, staring straight at Neil, overflowing with emotion, “Neil, don’t you trust me?”

Neil’s gaze was cold. Anyone could tell his mood was in the dumps. But he didn’t continue to blame Bonnie, he only turned to me, “You head back first, I’ll be home soon.”

At his words, Bonnie’s gaze instantly turned haughty. She didn’t speak, just slightly lifted her chin to look at me, with a sneer tugging at the corner of her mouth.

I glanced at Neil. Neil was also staring at me.

Thinking back to what Faith had said; I found it incredibly ironic. Did Nell truly have profound feelings for me? Did he really regret not cherishing me in the past?

I didn’t think so. Maybe he had some regrets, but more so, it was remorse.

“Alright, got it.” I casually responded, then left without looking back. As for what Neil and Bonnie would do next, I didn’t want to bother knowing

My mom had woken up now, so one of my biggest concerns resolved. One step at a time.

Back at Sterling Estates, I informed Ryan, Faith, and Hannah about my mom’s condition. They were all happy for me. I sat on the couch, hesitated for a bit, and then told Faith, I ran into Neil at the hospital. He said he’ll be back soon, he said you guys don’t need to worry about him.”

“He’s alone at the hospital?” Faith immediately raised her voice in surprise.

I paused, my face showing hesitation, ‘No, there were others with him.”

Hearing this, Faith instantly grew angry. She was already pissed when Bonnie had answered her call to Neil. Now, to find out they had gone to the hospital together.

Faith stood up, her face filled with rage, and headed for the door. Ryan grabbed her, “What are you doing?”

“Of course, I’m going to teach my son a lesson!” Faith’s answer was resolute, ‘Let’s see if he’d pick that lowly woman over his own mother!”

I watched quietly, without stopping her, because this was exactly the scene I wanted to see.

I wouldn’t let Bonnie off easy. If she wanted to flaunt in front of me, then I would let her get her just desserts from Faith.

“Let’s wait for him to come back. Being a man, Ryan was more composed than Faith,

“Wait for him to come back? I’m going to the hospital to see just how good that lowly woman of his is!” Faith kept repeating that lowly woman, she was never this crude. It was clear just how furious she was.

I would spend Christmas at Sterling Estates this year. For Ryan and Faith, they must’ve thought that Neil and I were one step closer to reconciling. But then, Bonnie showed up again.

This wasn’t the first time.

Ryan wanted to say something more, but Faith had already shrugged off his hand and walked out, leaving him no choice but to follow.

“Hannah, you can leave with them.” I told Hannah.

Hannah was from the countryside. She was smart, observant, and understanding. Hearing me say this, she immediately nodded and left with Ryan and Faith.

I waited at home, and soon, night fell. A text from Russel popped up on my phone.

I packed my things and headed out to meet him.

When I arrived, I entered the private room and he stood up to greet me. A faint smile appeared on his previously cold face, “I thought. you wouldn’t come.”

“If I said I’m coming, then I’ll be here.” I closed the door and sat across from Russel, glancing around, “Do you have people taking pictures of me again?”

Hearing this, Russel’s expression changed. He sat back down, frowning, “I’m sorry, I was rash then.”

“Neil said, the reason you took that photo and sent it to him on your engagement day was to separate us so that Bonnie could be alone with him. Russel, I never thought you would do this to me.” I said calmly.

Russel lowered his head, his long black lashes concealing his eyes. I couldn’t see his expression, but I could sense the icy aura emanating from him.

“You believe whatever he says, would you believe me if I told you something?” Russel spoke again, his eyes flashing coldly as he lifted his gaze…

Vrapier SvD

“How can I trust you again?” I picked up the coffee in front of me, merely sipping it lightly, “Russel, tell me, why did you lie about Neil giving you money to help Bonnie go abroad for treatment? That screenshot clearly wasn’t from then.”

Russel stared at me, a normally calm person now filled with anger, “Yes, I was blinded by jealousy, so I lied to you. I could never understand why you could give a man who hurt you another chance over and

over, but wouldn’t give me one?”

I didn’t know how to explain to Russel anymore. He never considered my feelings, never really trusted that I truly had his best interest at heart.

Neil was right. In some ways, Russel and he were the same.

If they couldn’t have something, they’d rather destroy it than let someone else have it.

I admired Bonnie, she could enjoy being fought over by two such men. I couldn’t do that. I felt like my life was being messed up by them.

“Enough, let’s not talk about this anymore. I came to see you today to discuss the photo” I interrupted Russel and got straight to the point.

Russel silently sipped his coffee, his gaze no longer lingering on me.

“Why aren’t you talking?” I urged him to speak.

“You want to know why Neil was with Bonnie and Ethan Foster, right? Russel asked with a smile.

I nodded.

“Have you ever given any thought to how Ethan got his mitts on your dad’s secrets so easily? Do you really think those files just leaked out like that? Sure, StarGlow Enterprises might have their fingers in the pie, but given your dad’s standing/he shouldn’t have gone down that easily, right? Russel looked me straight in the eye, his words loaded.

My anxiety shot up; I knew what Russel was hinting at, but I didn’t want to believe it.
