Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled Chapter 151

Chapter 151

Chapter 151

Bonnie could tell I was intentionally mocking her, and her expression tuined extremely unpleasant

Kate wanted to argue with me, but Bonnie stopped her “Kate. I’m okay I need to talk to Irene

“Bonnie, what if she hurts you? You need to take care of yourself. Kate looked really worried

She was as protective of her sister’s heart as Neil was

Bonnie shook her head, I’m fine, Kate Irene won’t do anything to me.”

Kate shot me a wary look. I smirked at her, provoking her. “You better keep her away from me if you don’t want me to do anything”

“Bonnie, we dont need to deal with her. Your health is the most important thing. Let’s go find Neil Kate held onto Bonnie’s arm tightly. “Kate, I’m fine!” Bonnie shook her off, annoyance flashing in her eyes.

She was so ungrateful.

Kate left with a sigh. Bonnie turned to me, “Irene, did Neil give you an agreement? About re-dividing property?”

I was slightly surprised Despite her severe illness, she managed to hold onto every detail so well. She really was incredibly diligent.

I didnt say anything, just smiled at Bannie. Her face twisted in anger.

She continued, “I think being too greedy is not good. You know how much he has. If he gives you a third of his assets, will you take it? Won’t your

conscience hurt?”

“Why wouldn’t I take it? I found it funny. “You think I’m like you? If I gave you a million dollars now, you wouldn’t even know how to spend it. And let me tell you, if you’re snooping around, get your facts straight. A third? It’s half his property plus 8% of Whitmore Co

Bonnie’s face turned sour, as if she’d just swallowed a fly. Clearly, she didn’t have the full picture.

She stuttered, “How is that possible? I heard the lawyer…

She cut herself off. Spying on Neil’s conversation with his lawyer wasn’t something she wanted to admit

“Bonnie, what gives you the right to talk like this? I don’t deserve Neil’s money, and you do?” I raised my chin, looking down at her. “What are you? Besides being younger, what else do you have?”

She was much shrewder than most girls her age.

“You!” Bonnie fumed but couldn’t come up with a response.

“Because Neil likes me! Bonnie finally found a comeback.

“Then keep trying. Let’s see if he’ll marry you” I said coldly. “Bonnie, do you really not know about Karina? That Kate’s sister? Are you going to keep playing dumb, happily accepting their kindness?”

Bonnie stared at ine, shocked. She couldn’t believe I knew about Karina.

Her reaction amused me. ‘Bonnie, you don’t think the Whitmore family didn’t try to persuade me, do you? They certainly informed me about Karina’s situation and your heart condition.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about Bonnie panicked. “I don’t even know who Karina is!”

“It’s okay. You should thank your parents for giving you a face like Karina’s, and for getting her heart. Without that, Neil wouldn’t look at your twice, and Kate wouldn’t treat you like a sister. Got it?” I didn’t care that Bonnie had gone pale.

She wanted to play dumb, so she could justify Neil’s compensation as love.

Bonnie clutched her chest, gasping for breath. She stumbled and I stepped back. Kate rushed over to support her.

“Irene, what did you do to her? Kate demanded angrily.

Neil appeared from the restaurant. Seeing Bonnie’s state, he rushed over.

Bonnie collapsed into his arms, whispering, “Neil, who is Karina..”

Then she fainted.

Even in fainting, she was setting the stage. Now that I’d revealed she knew about Karina, Neil would find out soon. She might as well ask and put herself in a vulnerable position

Poor girl. She didn’t even know she was a stand-in.

I watched as Neil helped Bonnie to the car. He shot me a glance, his brow furrowed.

“Neil, aren’t you going to say anything to Irene? She’s the reason Bonnie fainted”” Kar

“Let’s get Bonnie to the hospital first Neil replied impatiently

angnly.

Kate’s hatred for me was deep. Bonnie had fainted, and the priority was to get her to the hospital. Yet, she still wanted Neil to scold me.

When Neil drove off without waiting for her, Kate looked even more annoyed “Trene, you’ve already killed my sister once. You want to do it again?”

I’m curious. How did you know Bonnie got your sister’s heart?” I ignored her question.

“That’s none of your business!” Kate snapped.

“Oh, so you think Bonnie didn’t recognize you?” I laughed. “How did you decide she’s so naive she wouldn’t know anything?”

Kate cut me off, pissed, “Not everyone is as nasty as you are!”

With that, she stormed off

Coming out from the restaurant, Stella and Mitch saw me standing alone at the entrance and couldn’t help but ask, “Where’s Neil?”

Cathie fumed, “He invited me for dinner, then took a phone call and just leh! Who does that?”

I tried to console her, “There might be some special reason Bonnie fell sick all of a sudden, try to understand”

Maybe Kate called Neil to tell him that Bonnie was with me, that’s why he took off

Cathie’s eyes went wide, “What?!”

Hearing all this, Cooper seemed worried and was ready to go look for Neil, holding his car keys. He asked Mitch, “Shall we go check out what’s going on?”

Mitch, hugging Stella tightly, seemed aloof, “No need, I need to be with my family, I don’t need to worry about Bonnie”

Cooper gave him a strange look, as he seemed to notice his good friend’s attitude towards Bonnie had changed.
