Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 985

Upon hearing that, Little Bean was taken aback. Originally, Yuchi Jin was planning on discussing this with Little Bean—whether he would like to go back to the country with his parents or stay here to be with him. If he stayed, Yuchi Jin would be less lonely. To make Little Bean stay, Yuchi Jin even made himself look pitiful.

Now that the talk was over, he suddenly felt that this was unfair to the child. And of course, being an intelligent kid, Little Bean understood Yuchi Jin’s intention. So he decided to tell Yuchi Jin that he was willing to stay here to be with him.

Mommy has already gone through so much. I can’t do this to her anymore. This was what Little Bean thought earlier.

“Great-grandfather, if I move back with Mommy, you’ll be by yourself, and it saddens my heart. I feel sorry for you. So, I’m not going back with Mommy.”

Yuchi Jin was moved. “You feel sorry for me but not your mother?”

Little Bean blinked and whispered, “Mommy has Daddy with her, but you… have no one. So I want to be with you.”

“Good boy!” Yuchi Jin was touched and he proceeded to pull Little Bean into his arms; his heart was filled with affection and gratitude. For Yuchi Jin, the long-lost family affection was finally found in Little Bean.

On the way home, Han Muzi worriedly looked at Ye Moxuan, as if she was hesitant to say something. Ye Moxuan lifted his head and his gaze blandly fell on her face. “Are you worried about Little Bean?”

Han Muzi nodded.

“Don’t worry; Grandfather likes him a lot. Also… if you’re unwilling to part with him, we can bring him home with us when the time comes.”

“But… Grandfather—”

“Since he’s already acknowledged you, he’d probably stop giving you a hard time, much less Little Bean, whom he loves so much.”

“To be honest… your grandfather is nice, and he saved your life. Not only is he our family, but he’s also someone we’re indebted to. I don’t think it’s too much to let Little Bean spend more time with him; it’s just that… Little Bean is still so young, so I feel like this might seem unfair to him.”

Young? Ye Moxuan recalled the time when Little Bean tried to justify himself—that was not something a kid his age would do. He even thought that Little Bean would think it through before making any decisions, and no one else could easily make any decisions for him—not even his own father. However, he always appeared to look particularly obedient and submissive in front of Han Muzi without any ulterior motives. This was why Han Muzi had no idea how horrible their son was.

“We’ll see. We still have time.”

“Mm-hmm.” That’s all we can do for now.

If possible, Han Muzi biasedly hoped that… Little Bean could move back with her, and if Yuchi Jin was willing, she would be happy for him to move back together with them. Only if… he was willing.

Xiao Su went downstairs to get a lighter and a packet of cigarettes, and he began to smoke while leaning on the balcony. As the cold air blew the cigarettes smell away, he decided to stop smoking and sit down on a chair to watch the starry night. All of a sudden, a voice came from inside the house.

Knock-knock-knock. That alerted Xiao Su, who immediately got up and looked inside.

Knock-knock-knock. Someone was at the door. Through the windows from the balcony, Xiao Su was able to see a figure standing in front of Han Qing’s room, knocking on his door.

Xiao Su then opened the door and walked inside, only to realize that the person was Yan. He frowned. Wasn’t this girl already sleeping soundly earlier? Why is she up now and knocking on the door?

“Open the door. Open the door please.”

Knock-knock-knock. As no one responded to her knocking, Yan began to yell while banging on the door for him to open it. “Open the door! Open the door! I know you’re in there. Just open the door!”

This time around, she began hitting the door with her palm. In the next second, a figure came up to her and locked her by her wrist. She was then pulled to the side. “What are you doing? Look at how drunk you are. Go back to bed.”

“Eh?” Yan widened her eyes as if she was trying to figure out who the person standing in front of her was. After a few moments, she let out a scream, “Oh, Xiao Su… I was just knocking on Han Qing’s door. Shh, keep quiet! I’ve something to tell him.” After she finished, she pushed Xiao Su away and appeared to be walking away. A few steps later, she realized she could barely move.

Yan turned around and found out that Xiao Su was holding her by her wrist. She began to struggle but Xiao Su was holding on tightly; there was no way she could escape. A few moments later, Yan wrinkled her nose. “Why are you stopping me? I’ve got an important thing to do. Let me go.”

An important thing… It was obvious that Han Qing never bothered to even pay attention to her, but she still treated him as someone precious to her. She got wasted twice because of him, yet the person who ended up being by her side was Xiao Su.

The thought of this agitated Xiao Su, and he began to hold her even tighter. “An important thing? Is a man who doesn’t even care about you that important? Can you please wake up and realize that he doesn’t like you? Why do you keep deceiving yourself?”

Even though Yan was drunk, she still maintained a bit of consciousness while she heard what Xiao Su said. Her face turned pale very quickly. She bit her lower lip and angrily stared at Xiao Su. “What do you think you’re talking about? I don’t need you to mind my business. Let go of me!”

She kept trying to break free from Xiao Su, who was holding on to her tightly and not letting go. She began to yell, “Let me go!”

Xiao Su did not respond. After a moment of silence, he finally loosened his grip.

Yan pulled her hand back before Xiao Su noticed a bruise on her fair wrist. He was perhaps grabbing it too tightly. Xiao Su hesitated to say something, but Yan snorted and walked away.

Seeing that she was, again, heading toward Han Qing’s empty room, Xiao Su began to feel upset and sorry. He then went up to her to stop her. “Don’t do that. He’s not home.”

“Back off.”

“What are you going to do? Do you think I’d lie to you? He’s not home so no one would respond to you; even if he’s home, chances are that he might not even want to come out and see you. You’re being overly presumptuous.”

Yan was stunned. She stared at Xiao Su in shock. “Xiao Su, who do you think you are? Do you think you now have the right to mind my business just because you went drinking with me twice? Let me tell you—mmph!”

Before she could finish her sentence, Xiao Su suddenly pinned her against the cold wall. The view before her eyes went black and she felt a warm sensation on her lips.
