When Han Muzi heard the word ‘affair’, the corners of her lips twitched and she just looked at Yan without saying a word. “May I ask where you get these strange ideas from?” Who would have thought of an affair?
Under Han Muzi’s gaze, Yan reached up to cover her mouth with her hand then smiled awkwardly. “You know my mind is a little weird so I’m also a little more slow-witted…”

Yan knew that she had misspoken. She looked at Han Muzi and motioned to lock her lips, indicating that she was not going to speak so carelessly anymore. However, Han Muzi knew Yan all too well. As she had not seen him yet, she came up with two predictions—one was good and one was bad. Naturally, she was biased toward the good prediction. She did not want to believe that her man was doing something bad behind her back. If she saw Ye Moxuan’s complexion then, she would have stopped him.
“Mm-mm.” She pulled herself back together after she felt someone tugging at her sleeve. Yan had her lips pursed and was making some noises but did not talk.
“What is it?” she asked. Yan still did not talk and just pointed to her mouth.
Han Muzi stared at her for a moment. Suddenly, she remembered the locking motion Yan did on her mouth earlier so she would not speak carelessly. Does she have something to say now?
“Are you asking me to unlock your lips?” she asked as she tilted her head.
Yan nodded her head forcefully.
“Oh.” Han Muzi let out a small smile. “I’m not going to. You can just stay like that.”
She stood up and Yan’s expression turned urgent. Stretching her body, she went on, “Oh, I’ve been sitting for too long and my legs feel uncomfortable. I’m going out for a walk.”
Upon hearing that the pregnant woman was going out, Yan could not let her go alone so she followed behind her. Along the way, Yan wanted to talk, but each time she looked to Han Muzi to give her permission to speak, Han Muzi looked away and pretended she did not notice Yan’s plea.
At last, Yan reached her limit and yelled, “I’ve had enough!”
Han Muzi laughed. “You’re finally dropping the act?”
Yan complained. “I’ll die of frustration if I go on any longer! Muzi, you’re so mean. I kept looking at you but you did not even acknowledge me once. If I died, you won’t have a sister-in-law in the future anymore.”
“I’m not mean. You were the one who locked yourself up earlier. Also, are you so sure that you’ll be my sister-in-law?”
“Hmph! I’m just going to put all my effort into that. We shall see if you’d still bully me after I become your sister-in-law!”
“Oh… Since you’re thinking of bullying me in the future, should I just nip this in the bud now to prevent any problems in the future?”
That threat made Yan surrender immediately. “I was wrong. It wasn’t me who said that earlier!”
After they went around once, Han Muzi started to feel tired and said, “Let’s go back.”

On the first and second day, Ye Moxuan did not return. On the third day, Ye Moxuan was still nowhere to be seen. On the fourth day, Xiao Su was still the one who reported to Han Muzi. On the fifth day, Han Muzi was growing impatient and Yan began to bad-mouth Ye Moxuan again. As the sixth day came, Han Muzi looked at Xiao Su with a grim expression on her face.
Xiao Su felt a chill on the back of his neck and shuddered involuntarily. As he was about to speak, he heard Han Muzi ask, “He’s still not coming back today?”
Xiao Su swallowed the words he was about to say and nodded his head cautiously. “Young Master Ye—”
Before Xiao Su could finish, Han Muzi stood up and said lightly, “It’s already the sixth day. What is he up to? You still can’t tell me?”
“Uh, about that… He’s just been super busy at work!”

If Xiao Su were to say something, it might be detrimental to Ye Moxuan. As such, she understood. “I’ll get someone to look into it. Go back and tell him that if he doesn’t want me to know, then he better make sure that I never find out.”
Xiao Su was speechless. Young Lady Ye sounds so firm. At that moment, he was not able to defend himself. He was never someone who had a way with words so he just nodded. “I got it, Young Lady Ye. I will let Young Master Ye know everything you just said.”
