Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 939

Xiao Su shot Little Bean a grateful look while thanking him, “Thank you very much.”

Little Bean grinned at him. “No worries, Mr. Xiao. In that case, are you going to check on Daddy? You look very worried!”

Xiao Su nodded immediately. “I should.”

“Well, you should go ahead, Mr. Xiao. I will wait here for the both of you.”

Xiao Su stood up swiftly while reminding Little Bean not to leave the table. After advising Little Bean to wait for their return, Xiao Su left in a hurry and marched toward the washroom in a haste after he gained his bearings.

Ye Moxuan washed his face in the washroom and checked his reflection in the mirror. He looked very pale. No wonder Xiao Su looked so worried when he saw me. It seems that short piece of memory had somehow tortured me so mercilessly. My head is still throbbing painfully, but I want nothing more than to recall my memories. Despite the splitting headache, I just want to recall everything from the past since it truly is a bad feeling to have a blank memory.

Just when Ye Moxuan was deep in thought, he heard a voice suddenly calling from outside, “Young Master Ye?”

Ye Moxuan turned to the source of the voice and he saw Xiao Su standing at the door with a worried expression. He pursed his lips together while walking toward Xiao Su. “Why are you here?”

Xiao Su did not hide his thoughts. “Young Master Ye, are you feeling ill? Should I…” Send you to the hospital for a check-up? Before Xiao Su even finished his sentence, Ye Moxuan had interrupted him, “Will I ever regain those missing memories?”

Xiao Su was astounded by the sudden question. It took him quite a while before he snapped back to his senses. “I-I think it’s possible,” he stammered.

Ye Moxuan focused on a spot next to Xiao Su and it was as if his mind had drifted away. “You said that you’re my assistant, right? In that case, can you do something for me?”

“What is it?” Xiao Su asked while straightening his back.

“I want to regain my memories. It’s inconvenient for me to do it alone, so I need your help.”

Xiao Su hesitated before asking, “Uh, Young Master Ye, what can I do for you?”

Little Bean swung his legs while sitting on the chair. The server had dropped by twice to serve food on the table, but the other two seats at the table still remained empty. Little Bean rested his chin on his palm while thinking to himself, Why are those two men spending such a long time in the bathroom? Is there something that I’m not aware of happening? Should I tell Mommy about this when I get home? I’ve heard that many men these days enjoy some alone time together for fun activities.

Just when he was lost in his thoughts, he heard some footsteps outside. Ye Moxuan and Xiao Su walked back to the table and coincidentally bumped into the server who was just about to leave. The server flashed Ye Moxuan a bright smile since she noticed how handsome he looked and even winked at him.

Foreigners were relatively more open-minded and usually didn’t beat around the bush. After the server noticed a handsome man such as Ye Moxuan, the individual tried to flirt with him. It would’ve worked in her favor if they managed to hook up, but if it didn’t, she would consider it as a greeting to him.

Little Bean witnessed the scene, so he observed Ye Moxuan in silence to gauge his response. In the end, Ye Moxuan entered their private room with a blank expression. Forget about the wink, he barely looked at the server.

The server immediately lost interest in Ye Moxuan because not only did she not receive a response, she was even given the cold shoulder. However, she seemed unfazed as she merely walked with a calm expression. Nevertheless, Xiao Su witnessed the entire exchange between Ye Moxuan and the server. Xiao Su shook his head in his heart as he followed Ye Moxuan from behind.

Little Bean started to reprimand Ye Moxuan the moment he sat at the table. “Bad daddy! I’ll tell Mommy once I’m home that you were flirting.”

Ye Moxuan, who had just returned from the washroom and was oblivious to his surroundings, looked at Little Bean in confusion.

Xiao Su coughed into his fist while explaining on behalf of Ye Moxuan, “Little Bean, you shouldn’t make such unfounded accusations. You saw it in person; your daddy didn’t respond to her at all. In fact, he is oblivious to what just happened.”

True enough, Ye Moxuan looked slightly confused while listening to their conversation because he did not know what had happened.

“Hmph! That’s Daddy’s fault. People wouldn’t be flirting with him if he had acted fiercer!”

Xiao Su was at a loss for words. He was about to voice his thoughts. Well, your daddy is extremely handsome, and that is why—

However, Ye Moxuan must have guessed what happened by that point and stated calmly, “Let him continue.” It’s understandable that this little brat is unhappy and dissatisfied with me. In fact, he is quite resentful toward me. In any case, I see it as an improvement since he’s merely attacking me with his words now compared to the punch he gave me on the first day we met.

Xiao Su kept quiet since Ye Moxuan had requested Little Bean to express his thoughts.

Ye Moxuan looked at Little Bean. “You must be hungry now. Your mommy reminded me to take you out for lunch, so you should keep your mouth shut and eat now. Feel free to speak your mind after the meal.”

Little Bean looked at him with contempt. “Stupid. How can I eat if I keep my mouth shut?”

Pfft… Xiao Su almost burst out laughing, but he resisted from doing so since Ye Moxuan was present.

Ye Moxuan felt helpless and had no choice but to pretend as if he didn’t hear Little Bean. What choice do I have since my own son scolded me?

Yan and Han Muzi had lunch together, though the latter didn’t have much of an appetite during the duration of their meal. However, Yan had force fed Han Muzi with the excuse that she was pregnant.

By the time they finished their meal, Han Muzi was about to burst from being too full. She remained seated while caressing her belly. “You shouldn’t feed me forcefully. Too much food isn’t good for the baby. It’s bad if the baby becomes too fat.”

Yan spoke, “What are you talking about? How can the baby become fat when you are so skinny? You should eat more. From now on, I will make sure to replenish all the nutrition you’ve lost during this time. Otherwise, I would be worried sick if the child is born with malnutrition!”

Malnutrition? That’s an exaggeration and it’s impossible.

Just when they chatted, the phone Yan left in the room for charging rang suddenly. She was caught by surprise, but she responded swiftly to Han Muzi, “I’m going to answer the call and it might be your brother, so you have to take my side if he scolds me later.”

Yan dashed into the room before Han Muzi answered her. Then, she returned swiftly with her phone while winking at Han Muzi. Han Muzi knew immediately that it was her brother, Han Qing, on the line. Hence, she smiled reassuringly at Yan while signaling her to answer the call.

Yan inhaled deeply while she suppressed the bubbling fear rising in her chest. “Hello?” she greeted him tentatively.

“Open the door.”

“Huh?” Yan was caught off guard when she heard Han Qing bark from the other side of the line. She was in a daze because she couldn’t process what he was referring to. What does he mean by that? Why should I open the door?

In the beginning, Yan was bewildered, but soon enough, her eyes widened in shock. “O-Open the d-door?”

“Right now,” Han Qing snapped coldly.

Yan was petrified for quite a while and she stared at Han Muzi. Finally, she walked to the entrance like a stiff puppet.
