Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 934

She knew. Of course she knew about it. Even though it wasn’t love at first sight, it was still love. Before Yan confessed to Han Qing, she already had a crush on him for such a long time that it became a secret love, but she eventually summoned the courage to come clean. It was probably because no one else had appeared beside Han Qing and she hadn’t met anyone who moved her feelings more than him. Therefore, under the pressures of her youth and time wasting away, she gained the courage to confess her love to him.

There wasn’t any wrong for her to chase after her love and happiness. Besides, Yan was also Han Muzi’s best friend, so she trusted Yan’s character. Han Muzi also hoped that Yan’s fiery passion could add a bit of life for her lonely brother. Otherwise, he would just be moody every day. To be honest, from Han Muzi’s recent interaction with Han Qing, she felt that he was quickly becoming a cold-hearted person except when he was pampering his little sister.

That was why Han Muzi hoped more than anyone else for Han Qing to find the right partner. It would be unfair for him to waste the rest of his life being dedicated to her. Even if Han Qing didn’t see it as unfair, Han Muzi still felt the guilt.

“Oh no, I didn’t realize it before you mentioned it. I think my phone was switched off. By this time, your brother definitely knows that Little Bean and I are gone. I don’t know if he has called my phone.” After that, Yan immediately got up from the chair and dashed to her room. When she entered the room and found her phone, she noticed that it was turned off when she tried to press the button, so she could only restart it. As soon as it was switched on, she saw that there wasn’t enough battery left and that she received lots of calls and texts that she hadn’t answered. Hence, Yan bent over her waist to search for a phone charger before she squatted there to scroll on her phone.

She received a lot of calls, which she didn’t answer. Except for a few calls from the company’s staff and clients, all the others were from the cold-faced Han Qing. Then, Yan took a look at his texts. Han Qing’s texts were simple.

‘Is Little Bean with you?’

‘Where are the two of you?’

These were the only two messages that he sent and he didn’t send anything else afterward. Yan didn’t know whether Han Qing would have hated her by now or not. At first, she planned to text him when she arrived here so that he had no choice but to accept the fact. However, after so many things had happened, she actually threw her plan to the back of her mind.

As Yan thought of it, she reached out to hit her head hard. “Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! You really are stupid! He is your dream man, yet you threw him to the back of your mind. A minute of repentance starts now!”

A minute later, she replied to Han Qing’s texts with trembling hands. However, after she sent her texts, she never received a reply from him. She nervously held on to her phone for a few minutes as there was no news from Han Qing. Could it be that he is exasperated? Or is it because he is working and hasn’t seen the messages? Then, Yan calculated the time at Han Qing’s place. There was a 7 hour gap between the two countries. If it was almost noon at her place, then it should be midnight in China. At this time, Han Qing should be asleep, so it made sense for him not to reply to her. As it came to her mind, Yan let out a sigh of relief. Han Qing will see my text when he wakes up. Therefore, she left her phone in the room for it to charge before walking out.

When Yan returned to the dining table, Han Muzi noticed the distress in Yan’s facial expression; her face had turned pale. She casually ate the food prepared by Yan while talking to her, “How is it?”

“Your brother made a few calls to me…”

Listening to her, Han Muzi couldn’t hold back her smile. “Isn’t that good? It means that my brother is taking the initiative.”

Immediately, Yan lifted her head and widened her eyes after hearing Han Muzi’s words. “I wish! He only took the initiative to call me because Little Bean is with me. If not for Little Bean, he would never have called me.”

Han Qing never liked Yan and he even rejected her firmly and cruelly, but her heart never changed as a result. After all, her crush for him was not developed in just a day. She had fancied Han Qing for so long that it made it hard for her to change her mind.

After seeing Yan’s mood going down, Han Muzi felt that the food inside her mouth became tasteless, so she only comforted her, “Don’t think too much about it. Even though he is only concerned about Little Bean, it is still a chance for you. Don’t you want chances like this?”

“Yes!” Yan lifted her head. “Of course I want it. You’re right. These are all chances for me. It doesn’t matter if he’s actually thinking of Little Bean. I will just cling on to Little Bean so that he will remember me everyday!” As Yan finished, she regained her old combative spirit.

Han Muzi hadn’t said much afterward as she continued eating with her head lowered.

The doorbell rang at this moment. Yan had a look at Han Muzi before telling her, “Keep eating. I’ll go get the door.” After that, she got up and went outside.

Han Muzi cared little about it, so she just sat there eating while Yan answered the door. However, Yan quickly ran back not long after. “Muzi! Muzi!”

As soon as Han Muzi heard her, she lifted her head to see Yan running toward her alarmingly and asked out of curiosity, “What is it?” Just as she finished her words, Han Muzi saw the two figures behind Yan. She was startled to see Yuchi Jin and Yu Bo.

Yan ran to her side while giving her a look, then she whispered, “Young Master Ye’s grandfather is here. Will he trouble you? Do I need to ask Young Master Ye to return?”

Han Muzi smiled slightly and refused Yan’s kind proposal as she shook her head. “No need for that. You can go back to your room if you’re afraid. I’ll be fine hosting them.”

Immediately, Yan shook her head and murmured, “No! How can I leave you in a time like this? That’s not what best friends do!” As she was done speaking, she tightened her hands around Han Muzi’s arm right away.

Han Muzi felt a headache as she was helpless toward Yan. She actually hoped that Yan would agree to her request and go straight back into her room.

“Grandfather. Mr. Yu.” When they got close, Han Muzi greeted them.

The moment Yuchi Jin heard Han Muzi calling him ‘grandfather’, he immediately roared like a lion, “Grandfather?! Who is your grandfather?”

Yan remained silent while standing aside. Young Master Ye’s grandfather is a really fierce person. Muzi must have suffered a lot from him before.

After Yuchi Jin was done being blunt, he saw that Yan scrunched her nose while looking at him. Then, he let out a soft cough before grunting coldly, “If you want to be my granddaughter-in-law, then I will have to look at your performance afterward.” Yuchi Jin did not want to bring disgrace to the family. Even though he had no idea who the little girl was to Han Muzi, if he made Yan feel that he was a bad grandfather, then it would be bad for his reputation.

On the other hand, Han Muzi smiled since she did not mind his behavior. “Grandfather, Yu Bo, why are you here today?”

“What now? Is this house yours? Why can’t I come over?”

Yu Bo smiled brightly and replied, “Old Master wants to see his great-grandson.”
