Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 933

Do you like me? Such a simple sentence with a few words was enough to stop Xiao Su in his tracks. He stood there dumbfounded as disbelief danced in his eyes. For a moment, he even thought that he was hearing voices. Otherwise, why would he have heard Yan asking him whether he liked her or not? No matter how hard he thought about it, she wasn’t the kind of person who would ask him such a question, but he heard it from her.

“That…” Xiao Su felt that his face burned while there was panic in his eyes and tone. “It isn’t what you think it is. Maybe you might have misunderstood something?”

“I’ve misunderstood something?” Yan blinked her eyes and she glanced at the glass of water in front of her.

Xiao Su remained quiet. Pouring water for her doesn’t mean anything, right? I really do like her, but I’ve never caught her attention before. And now that I have a huge scar on my face, she definitely won’t like me. Then again, my scar will only scare everyone including Yan away.

“Alright.” Yan shrugged her shoulders and acted differently. “It seems as though I’ve misunderstood the situation. You should go back to sleep.”

He initially thought that she was going to argue with him, but surprisingly, she admitted that she misunderstood—just like that. Then, she picked up the glass of water to drink. For some reason, Xiao Su felt upset in his heart while he stared at Yan’s indifferent face. He suddenly wanted to tell her that she didn’t misunderstand the situation and that he really liked her. However, when he thought of his facial scar, the idea faded away completely in seconds. He tightened both of his fists beside him before loosening it a while later and tightening it back again. In the end, he pressed his thin lips as he walked out of the kitchen silently.

After Yan finished drinking her water, she saw Xiao Su quietly leaving the kitchen. As she watched him, she couldn’t help but frown her eyebrows. What have I misunderstood? Why do I feel that there was something wrong with Xiao Su’s mood earlier? Could it be that he is just rendered speechless by my question? She hadn’t meant to ask him, but the question slipped out of her mouth when she noticed that the way he had looked at her then was similar to the way she looked at Han Qing. Thinking about it now, she actually felt that her question was inappropriate. It doesn’t matter if he likes me or not; he would still be embarrassed by my question and it will be awkward between us from now on when we meet.

With that thought in mind, Yan shook her head vigorously before she finished the last drop of water in the glass. Afterward, she grabbed hold of her blanket and returned to her room. After crawling back to sleep, Yan hadn’t noticed that she had received ten or more calls as her phone was on silent mode. She had a good night’s sleep.

Han Muzi felt that she slept for a long time and a lot had happened in her dream. When she woke up feeling dizzy, there were still fragments of her dream left in her mind. However, when she opened her eyes, her dream was slowly engulfed by reality—bit by bit. As she rolled her body to stare at the sunlight outside the window, she had completely forgotten about her dream. After lying there for a while, she realized that she was the only person in the room and Yan was gone. She got down from the bed and walked out the door.

The house was quiet as there wasn’t anyone to be seen. Then, Han Muzi tried to call out for them. “Yan? Little Bean?”

Nobody responded to her. Han Muzi went over to Ye Moxuan’s room and she found out that nobody was inside there either after she pushed open the door. She stood bare-footed on the ground as her mind stared blankly at the empty room. Could it be that what happened last night was just a dream and Little Bean isn’t even here? But why does it feel so real to me as if it really happened? Just when she became confused, she heard a voice behind her. “Muzi?”

This is… Han Muzi quickly turned around and saw a well-dressed Yan standing behind her while wearing an apron. Yan even carried a plate of delicious food on her hand.

“What are you doing standing here like an idiot? And why aren’t you wearing shoes? Do you remember that you’re a pregnant woman? Did your sleep make you stupid? Or is it the pregnancy that’s making you lose your intelligence?”

Han Muzi was rendered speechless. “What nonsense are you talking about?” She was still composed when she returned to her room and wore a pair of slippers. Seeing that Yan already placed everything on the table, she sat there. “What time is it? Why isn’t there anyone here?”

Listening to her, Yan couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Am I not a person? Muzi, you really are ungrateful. I also followed them all the way here to see you and I even acted as Little Bean’s bodyguard for the whole journey, but you don’t even care about me.”

Han Muzi couldn’t hold back her smile. “Don’t you want to be Little Bean’s aunt?” Yan was startled at this question. “So future aunt, what do you want from me?”

Yan was speechless after just one sentence while she tilted her head and thought, If I actually become Little Bean’s future aunt, then there really isn’t much that I can ask for.

As Yan thought about it, she pouted. “Fine. Don’t you want to know where your two men have gone to? They went out early in the morning, leaving just me and you in the house.”

“They went out early in the morning?”

What could they be doing early in the morning? Han Muzi was confused, but before she could say something, Yan had already pushed the plate of food in front of Han Muzi. “Alright. You’re a pregnant woman, so stop asking questions and start eating your food or else the baby inside you will be hungry.”

It was better if Han Muzi didn’t speak about it because she suddenly felt hungry after Yan said those words. Han Muzi didn’t say anything else afterward as she tried to fill her stomach.

Seeing that she was willing to eat in peace, Yan let out a sigh of relief. “I was afraid that you would be hungry. As a pregnant woman, you have been living abroad alone for such a long time. Your brother is really worried about you.”

As she mentioned Han Qing, Han Muzi’s face twitched and she asked another question, “Now that you’ve mentioned my brother, did he agree to let you and Little Bean fly over?”

Yan’s face changed drastically and she couldn’t say a word after that.

Looking at the change in Yan’s facial expression, Han Muzi ate slower on purpose and twitched her lips. “Did you guys … come here without informing him?”

After a moment of silence, Yan immediately pleaded to Han Muzi with a pitiful face. “Muzi. My beloved Muzi, I didn’t mean to hide it from your brother, but if I told him, he definitely wouldn’t allow Little Bean and I to look for you. About this… I have already discussed it with Little Bean and Xiao Su also wanted to come at that time, so we didn’t need to worry much.”

Han Muzi nodded as she tried to digest her words. “So, you went abroad with another man without telling my brother?”

Yan was rendered speechless. “What do you mean by ‘another man’? Xiao Su is Young Master Ye’s assistant. What does that have to do with me?”

Han Muzi continued to smile without saying anything.

Yan started to become nervous. “Y-You can’t say such nonsense in front of your brother. I only like your brother. You should know that after such a long time.”
