Yuchi Jin was stunned by Song An’s yelling. Yu Bo, who was standing next to them, was also shocked for a long time.
Song An was extremely upset! She was just with Han Muzi at the hospital for the latter’s checkup this morning and the doctor had instructed her to take care of her body and protect her baby. And what happened next? Those people took Han Muzi away. Since they were all strong and rough, who knew if they hurt her?
At this point, Song An did not know what happened to Han Muzi, and that made her extremely worried. She continued, “Where is she? Bring me to her now!”
Yuchi Jin came back to his senses and asked incredulously, “An, who are you talking about?” He roughly had an idea who that might be, but… he was still in shock.
Seeing that he was still pretending to not know anything, Song An was so upset that she went up to him and grabbed him by his collar. “D*mn old man, stop acting! Didn’t you hear what I just said? She’s pregnant; if you don’t let me see her now, and anything happens to her or the baby, I’ll never forgive you!”
Yu Bo seemed to have realized something from her words. Seeing how Song An was grabbing Yuchi Jin by his collar and how she looked and sounded serious, he quickly went up to them. “Miss An, please let go and let’s talk about this. You came here and said all these things all of a sudden; Old Master and I have no idea what’s going on.”
Song An angrily widened her eyes. “Mr. Yu, why are you still lying to me?”
Yu Bo responded, “Miss An, I have never lied to anyone and you know it. Old Master and I have just been staying home today. Regarding what you just said, should we calm down and talk about it?”
Song An remained silent. She would never believe Yuchi Jin even if he denied responsibility, but she knew that Yu Bo would not lie nor force anyone. All these years, he had been the right-hand man of Yuchi Jin.
The thought of this made Song An loosen her hands. She replied coldly, “Did you ask someone to look for Muzi and me?”
Yu Bo touched his nose and replied on behalf of Yuchi Jin, “That’s true, but it was only that day. You were still upset then. I decided to look for you again in a couple of days.”
“Mr. Yu, didn’t you send someone to find me today?”
Yu Bo shook his head.
Song An turned and stared at Yuchi Jin. “So, you sent them?”
Yuchi Jin had never thought that his daughter would be this scary. Earlier on, he was indeed shocked by what she did, and he just came back to his senses as she talked to him. “Of course I’d want to send someone, but would you be willing to see your old man?”
Song An did not respond until after a while. “Hmm. Fine then. Well done in denying everything. Do you know how I got here? The person who kidnapped Muzi brought me here and told me I had to come and see you.”
Yuchi Jin kept quiet. Yu Bo observed something and quickly asked those who were standing outside to come in.
“What’s going on? Miss An said you kidnapped someone?”
That person looked terrified and quickly explained, “Mr. Yu, that was not kidnapping; we merely invited her to come home with us. Old Master, didn’t you want to see Miss An? We wanted to…”
“B*stard!” Yu Bo angrily yelled at them, “What’s wrong with you? Where is she?”
The man opened his mouth but could not utter a single word. Instead, he worriedly touched his head. Hasn’t Old Master been missing Miss An every day? I have finally brought her back, so why is he scolding me?
“I’ll bring you there!” He immediately took the lead and started walking. Song An quickly turned around and followed along.
Yu Bo went up to Yuchi Jin and put his arm around him. “Old Master, we’ll go too.”
Yuchi Jin would like to know what was happening as well, so he put on a hat and began to move along.
The three of them left the Yuchi residence and came to a small alley. Song An looked around and frowned while her eyes began to twitch. Yu Bo and Yuchi Jin began to look more and more worried as the alley became increasingly narrow. The person leading them finally stopped walking. Just as he was about to take out his key to open the door, he noticed that the cheap lock was broken. The door in front of him was unlocked. He was terrified.
“Are we here?” Song An’s response was quicker than his, so she went around him and pushed the door open.
As she entered the house, she could feel that her face was covered with dust. The dust that she breathed in irritated her throat, so she quickly covered her mouth and nose. Though the house was not well lit, the streetlight from the windows still allowed them to see things clearly. She looked around and Han Muzi was nowhere to be seen. Immediately, she became upset. “Where is she?”
The man became nervous as he was being yelled at. He quickly responded, “I-I don’t know. After bringing her here, I locked the door and left. I just realized that the lock was broken… Perhaps she escaped?”
Yuchi Jin and Yu Bo stared at each other and finally understood what made Song An so angry.
Yu Bo was frustrated. He angrily asked, “What’s wrong with you? Who told you to bring her here? Would you be able to bear the responsibility if anything happens?”
The man started to look worried after being told off by Yu Bo. “Mr. Yu, I brought Miss An back because Old Master has been wanting to see her every day, but… Miss An wasn’t willing to in the beginning, and I didn’t want to see Old Master look so unhappy anymore, so I…”
“So you boldly and presumptuously brought the person here?” Yuchi Jin sounded harsh in his voice and stared at him coldly.
The man instantly knelt next to Yuchi Jin. “Old Master, I didn’t do it on purpose. I just wanted to…”
He thought that she was merely an ordinary person who happened to be with Song An, so he did not consider it too much before sending people to kidnap her and use her as leverage to get Song An to comply. His plan would succeed as long as Song An met Old Master Yuchi. But now, the woman had disappeared. What if she did not escape?
“What do you think you’re doing?” Yu Bo yelled. “Don’t tell me you saw how miserable Old Master has been, so you thought you’d help him solve his problems?”
The man nodded. “Yes, that’s what I had in mind. Old Master, could you please—”
“What’re you all doing?” Song An impatiently interrupted the conversation and sneered. “You’ve lost the person that you kidnapped and you are here asking for forgiveness? Let me tell you something: if anything happens to her, believe it or not, I’ll make you pay! I can’t guarantee that you would still be alive by then to be begging for forgiveness.”
Song An was extremely upset and her anger managed to shut him up.
Even so, she was able to calm herself down quickly. “She has no phone and money. If she did escape, she shouldn’t be too far off. We can send people to find her. But if…”
