He always thought that he was doing what was good for his grandson so that he wouldn’t follow his mother’s fate. But why… Why does it always end in the same way? What did I do wrong?
The servant kept on crying and screaming until Ye Moxuan landed his sharp and murderous eyes on her, then she immediately closed her mouth as she was frightened. She looked at her feet and didn’t even dare to make a sound.
Ye Moxuan sneered, “Tell me how you did it last night. I want you to explain it thoroughly.” Even though he was speaking to the servant, his eyes were locked onto Yuchi Jin. They were as sharp as lightning, and they didn’t allow anyone to escape from his gaze.
Hearing his voice, the servant couldn’t help but shiver. After that, her legs melted as she fell to the ground. A while later, she lifted her head and burst into tears. “Young Master Xuan, please forgive me. I was tempted at that time, so that was why I did it.”

Maybe it was because of George’s threat, the servant shivered with fright and blurted out immediately, “I’ll talk; I’ll tell you everything! I-It was Miss Duanmu who told me to do it!” After that, she looked as though she was about to collapse, and her eyes turned red as her voice shivered. “Last night, I was serving tea to Old Master and Young Master Xuan as usual. Then, Miss Duanmu suddenly showed up and gave me a pack of drugs. She said that if I poured this into Young Master Xuan’s cup, she would give me a huge sum of money so that me and my family could live a carefree life.
