Duanmu Xue’s face paled because she never once thought that Ye Moxuan would be brutally honest with her, which embarrassed her. With a lump in her throat, she uttered, “Shen, I’m sorry. I don’t mean to use this as an excuse to ask you to become engaged with me. Our engagement was decided by our parents and I initially thought that you agreed to it as well.”
“Since you know about this now, please stop pestering me from now on.” Ye Moxuan’s voice was cold; it was devoid of any emotion, warmth, reluctance or even apology.
The color drained from Duanmu Xue’s face. She bit on her lower lip forcefully, but her eyes turned red. She thought that Ye Moxuan would at least take pity on her, but she didn’t expect him not to have feelings for her at all. She raised her head and looked at him with those thoughts.
The hallway was decorated with light and shadow. Under the light, the man’s tall and large figure was visible and his handsome face looked more chiseled than ever. Though Ye Moxuan had coldly rejected her, it might have been her desire for him that his every word and behavior had the ability to make her heart flutter.
“Shen, I understand. I understand everything that you have just said. Therefore, the reason I came to the Yuchi residence today is to talk it out too, but there are too many people who pass by here. Can you come into the room to talk?”
She lowered her eyes and said with her teeth clenched, “I don’t want anybody to see this.”
Pursing his lips, Ye Moxuan looked into her room behind her. As he remembered the incident in his office where she suddenly hugged him, he sneered, “I think I’ve already made this clear.”
“Shen, but I want to explain to you.” She raised her head and saw a thin layer of sweat on his forehead before she carefully pulled down her collar, exposing her shoulder which was as white as snow. I wonder if the drug is taking effect on him now.
When she had this thought, the feeling of satisfaction flashed across Duanmu Xue’s eyes.
Once the drug in him takes effect, I will only need to gently seduce him and what comes next will happen naturally. After we sleep together, I will take some photos and personally send them to Han Muzi, so that she will certainly give up on Ye Moxuan. By then, he will naturally belong to me.
As she thought about this, she felt even more pleased with herself to the point where it was obvious on her face.
Ye Moxuan sweated even more at his forehead, feeling a gush of heat creeping into him at rapid speed under this freezing weather. At first, he thought that the heat was a result of his anger of seeing Duanmu Xue in his sight. But eventually, he realized that something was wrong.
This unknown fire burnt from his abdomen and bore signs of eruption before it quickly spread to his head. Suddenly, the woman before him exposed her snowy white shoulder. One step after another, Duanmu Xue approached him. “Shen, look at me…”
Ye Moxuan quickly moved his eyes, turned around and walked away. Feeling flustered, she dashed to him and hugged him from behind. “Don’t go. Shen, take a look at me, alright? Just one look. One look is enough. I’m not worse than her. I have everything that she has. Can’t you take a look at me?”
Her hands were tightly wrapped around his waist while her soft body squeezed at him non-stop.
Though Ye Moxuan knew that there was something wrong with his body, his mind was still not affected. When Duanmu Xue pressed herself on him, he didn’t feel pleasure; instead he felt disgusted.
“Go away!” he yelled at her in fury. Duanmu Xue trembled under the cold air around him, but she quickly hugged his waist tightly again.
She only had one chance to make her move, so she needed to succeed since failure was not an option. Hence, she had used a heavy dosage of drug on him. She knew that if she did not succeed tonight, she would never have another chance. Now, the drug had started to take effect, but he was still able to think rationally and asked her to go away.
After a while, once the drug had completely taken effect and crippled him of all of his senses, the man before her would only be left with his natural instincts.
Upon having such thoughts, Duanmu Xue’s eyes became red from agitation. She needed to hold on and after tonight, she could be together with Ye Moxuan forever and nobody would bother them.
Green veins popped up on Ye Moxuan’s forehead. When he felt that the woman still had her arms around him, he narrowed his eyes and grabbed her hands which were around his waist, yanking them off him.
Even he himself had no idea how much force he used, but since this woman was so despicable and went as far as to drug him, he should not be blamed for not holding back on his strength.
A woman’s loud shriek was heard from behind him and he immediately went downstairs without turning back.
Duanmu Xue had never expected that she would be thrown off like that. Her head hit the wall beside with a loud thud, causing her to see stars from the extreme pain. When she finally returned to her senses and wanted to search for Ye Moxuan, he was nowhere to be seen.

On the other hand, George had waited outside the Yuchi residence for a long time, but as time passed, it seemed as though nothing had happened inside. Judging from the time, Yuchi Shen had entered for quite some time. Why isn’t there anything happening?
When he thought about Muzi who waited for him at another place, George was restless, so he opened the car door and prepared to enter the Yuchi residence to investigate the situation. If something was not right, he would immediately take Yuchi Shen away.
Just as he exited the car, he saw a tall and large figure walking toward him. Isn’t that Yuchi Shen’s chiseled brows and handsome face?
“Oh my, you finally came out. I thought that you weren’t coming out tonight.” As George said this, he walked closer to him before he realized that the person before him had an odd expression. Sweat trickled down his forehead and his tightly-pursed thin lips showed the agony he endured.
“W-What happened?” George sized the man up, but he failed to find any injuries or blood stains on Ye Moxuan. Even so, Ye Moxuan looked as if he was hiding his pain. What happened?
The pale, thin lips of Ye Moxuan parted and he said in a cold voice, “Take me away from here.”
Unconsciously, George nodded. “Get in the car.”
On the other hand, Han Muzi tossed and turned on the bed since she hadn’t received any message from George. It is now past midnight; why isn’t there any news?
After she thought about it for a while, she woke up from the bed with the plan to change her clothes and head out to take a look. However, before her hands even picked up the coat, the doorbell rang.
The first thing that crossed her mind was that Ye Moxuan had returned. After waiting for the whole night, she was more than anxious about the lack of news. Without taking her coat, she opened her room door and dashed out barefooted.
There was a security door in their apartment, so when she saw that the people outside the door were George and Ye Moxuan, she quickly opened the door to let them in.
“Muzi!” George supported Ye Moxuan as they entered through the door. Once they were inside, George asked, “Where’s the bathroom?”
Han Muzi was stunned for a while. Why are they looking for the bathroom right after they came in? she thought to herself. When she saw Ye Moxuan’s condition, her heart was in her mouth and she closed the door before turning around. “Come with me.”
