Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 865

In the end, Han Muzi weighed her options and did not go against Ye Moxuan. I should just accept it since he is so concerned about me. Han Muzi caught up to Ye Moxuan’s stride after she accepted his offer.

The two of them waited at the exit. As the exit was packed with people since planes were arriving one after another, Han Muzi was slightly worried that they might not see Song An amidst the crowd. Nevertheless, she immediately spotted Song An when she arrived at the exit.

Song An stood out among the crowd with her height. Although she was slightly older, she looked prettier with her porcelain skin when compared to her peers. Forget about her peers, she was even prettier than women in their twenties if she were to dress herself up. Besides, elegance and temperament weren’t things that everyone possessed and she naturally had them. As a result, she would easily stand out. Hence, it was easy to spot her in the midst of people.

Han Muzi couldn’t help but lament in her heart. She is truly a Yuchi.

Song An wore a pair of sunglasses and stoically walked out into the arrival hall. Similar to Han Muzi’s reaction, she immediately caught sight of the handsome couple waiting for her at the exit. Due to their exceptionally good looks, they attracted lots of attention even though they stood at the entrance. The wind blew from another direction and Ye Moxuan, who looked like a muscular shadow, protected Han Muzi from the strong wind, making her look petite.

Song An was astounded when she saw her older sister’s son once again. She had a soft spot for him due to her status as a bachelorette and even treated Ye Moxuan as her own son when her sister died. She had been extremely anxious upon learning that his airplane was involved in an accident. However, there was no point in panicking either. When she heard that he was safe, she felt relieved, but he somehow assumed the identity of Yuchi Shen, which gave her mixed feelings about it. The Yuchi Family… I wouldn’t wish to return even if I am given a choice. However, I just can’t do it. What would happen to Ye Moxuan if I am to hide for the rest of my life? My late sister would never forgive me.

Song An struggled with the dilemma for a very long time. In the end, she decided to make a trip anyway. No matter what happens, escaping is not the solution.

“Aunty Song.” Han Muzi immediately waved at Song An when she saw her.

Song An suppressed the complicated emotions that she felt and she gave a small smile while walking toward the two of them.

Ye Moxuan looked at her too. The woman had already caught his attention from the beginning due to the familiarity he felt the moment he saw her, but it only lasted for a split second.

At that moment, Song An stopped in front of him before taking her sunglasses off. Han Muzi was here to pick her up, but she was also looking at him.

Ye Moxuan was stunned, and he had an odd and strange feeling in his heart.

As his aunt, Song An knew how sharp Ye Moxuan was with his eyes and intuition and realized that she would expose her identity if she continued to stare at him. Hence, she looked away before fixing her gaze on Han Muzi. “Is this the person you told me about?”

“Huh?” Han Muzi was astounded when she heard that, but she regained her composure while nodding blankly. “Oh, yes, Aunty Song.”

Song An slightly smiled before reaching a hand out toward Ye Moxuan. “Hi, I am Muzi’s aunt.”

Han Muzi was at a loss for words when she heard that. Aunt…

Ye Moxuan squinted when he heard that before a vague, childish voice replayed itself in his mind. “Aunty, my mom is not dead!” The voice and some images flashed across his mind swiftly, but Ye Moxuan did not manage to capture them because they were gone in a second.

Ye Moxuan was rooted to the ground and his brows were deeply furrowed. He seemed to be deep in thought as Han Muzi and Song An glanced at each other. After that, Han Muzi tugged on his sleeve. “What is it?”

He snapped back to reality when he felt someone tugging against his sleeve and saw Han Muzi staring at him with her clear eyes, asking, “What is it?”

Ye Moxuan still scowled at that point, but he collected himself swiftly. I have to treat her well since she’s Muzi’s aunt. He reached out while appearing calm. “Good day to you. I’m Yuchi Shen, Muzi’s boyfriend.” His introduction was brisk and concise, but he was clear with his identity and attitude. In fact, he was extremely respectful toward Song An.

Song An’s eyebrows shot up in surprise because she did not expect Ye Moxuan to introduce himself so openly.

“Aunty Song, you just got off the plane. I’m sure you haven’t had your dinner. Why don’t we have a meal together before we book you a hotel? Does the plan sound good?”

Song An nodded before smiling at her. “Muzi, can you please call me Aunty? Why would you address me by my surname? Outsiders would most probably think that I’m your neighbor.”

In all honesty, Song An knew that Han Muzi addressed her in that way on purpose because they had not discussed a plan beforehand. Thus, Song An guessed that Han Muzi wanted her to smoothen things out for her, so that it wouldn’t feel too awkward or obvious.

Upon listening to her reply, Han Muzi couldn’t help but admire Song An’s quick-thinking. I just greeted her casually, but she understood what I meant straight away. She even smoothen things out in such a natural way.

Han Muzi smiled sweetly, just like an affectionate niece. “No, I don’t want to. I’m used to calling you that.”

When he heard their banter, Ye Moxuan suddenly felt like a third wheel despite being the boyfriend. Fortunately Muzi isn’t having banters with a man.

Ye Moxuan offered, “Why don’t you hand me your suitcase?” With that, he took the initiative by helping Song An with her suitcase. Then, he marched forward, leaving the two women with some privacy.

After there was a safe distance between them, Song An whispered to Han Muzi, “You reacted rather quickly.”

Han Muzi blinked several times before answering, “You too, Aunty Song.”

Upon reaching a consensus, Song An broke the silence after a while, “From now on, I will stay close to you as your aunt. I saw he had a reaction when he heard the word ‘Aunty’.”

Han Muzi’s small and fair face turned somber at the mention of that. “Yeah, I sensed it as well.”

“Haven’t his memories been triggered at all throughout the time he spent with you?”

Han Muzi shook her head while looking helpless. “I think it happened once. However, nothing happened again after that.”

Seeing Han Muzi’s disappointment, Song An only consoled as an elder, “You shouldn’t be too pessimistic. Since things are the way that they are now, let’s just take things as they come.”

Han Muzi nodded. “I understand.”

Song An glanced at her and she realized that Han Muzi was thinner compared to the last time they met. Although her cheeks were flushed red and the shadows underneath her eyes were gone, her cheeks were rather sunken. Her heart went out for Han Muzi when she saw that. “It must have been hard on you during these trying times. From now on, I will try to help you as much as possible and that includes handling Yuchi Jin.” The warmth in Song An’s gaze vanished completely at the mention of Yuchi Jin.
