This scene appeared in the elevator.
As Rory was standing together with Han Muzi, though George was closer to Rory, he was facing both of them when he lifted his shirt, looking precisely like a pervert.
When the door of the elevator opened, Ye Moxuan was standing right outside with a dark expression. Rory’s scream was stuck in her throat upon seeing this.
“What are you doing?”
His emotionless voice seemed to have come from hell and wrapped around George immediately. George looked as if he had turned into a statue; only his head moved as he slowly turned around.
When his gaze met Ye Moxuan’s, George quickly pulled down the lifted shirt in his hands and smiled. “Yuchi, listen to me—this is all a misunderstanding.”
“Get out.”
Ye Moxuan, however, was not looking at him; instead, he looked directly at another person in the elevator.
Han Muzi stood rooted to the ground as she blinked and looked at Ye Moxuan before looking at Rory beside her.
She cowered subconsciously with fear in her eyes and whispered, “I’m fine. You can just go ahead.”
Han Muzi was worried that George did not know his limits and would scare Rory off. Before she left, she reminded him, “Don’t bully her.”
With that, she walked out of the elevator.
Not long after that, the door of the elevator closed with a chime again.
Looking at Ye Moxuan in front of her, Han Muzi cleared her throat. “Uhm… just now—”
Before she could finish her sentence, Ye Moxuan suddenly swept her off her feet. Such a sudden action shocked Han Muzi, who reflexively wrapped her arms around his neck and looked at him in daze.
“W-What are you doing?”
Ye Moxuan, who was tall and lean, pressed his lips into a firm line. From her perspective, his prominent facial features seemed surreal as his eyes drooped to look at her.
“You went out with George again?”
As soon as he opened his mouth, she felt as if the pressure around them had increased. The weather was already cold enough, but Ye Moxuan’s tone felt even colder than the temperature around them. Han Muzi cowered and answered softly, “There was something I had to deal with.”
“And what was that?” he asked.
Han Muzi did not reply to him.
Though this was related to Ye Moxuan, she didn’t want him to know. After all, there was so much stuff that she couldn’t tell him.
Hence, Han Muzi lowered her gaze and replied, “It’s not a big deal anyway. You—”
“Ha.” Ye Moxuan snorted coldly as he narrowed his eyes dangerously at her. “Seems like you are not going to let me know.”
Han Muzi bit her lips. Just as she was hesitating how to tell him about this, Ye Moxuan suddenly walked toward the office in large strides.
At the same time, in the elevator.
George and Rory exchanged glances awkwardly.
Rory felt that she was extremely unfortunate. She ran into Han Muzi coincidentally, yet because of George’s prank, she forgot to press the floor number that she was heading to. Hence, the elevator went straight to Han Muzi’s level, and they met Ye Moxuan, who pulled a long face while emanating a cold aura.
After being interrupted by him, George only returned to his senses and realized how inappropriate his actions were. He touched his nose awkwardly and looked at Rory. “Actually… I’m not usually like that. I was just too impulsive just now. Please don’t be afraid of me!”
Seeing that George was getting closer to herself, Rory frowned and warned sternly, “Don’t come near me!”
George stopped upon hearing her command.
Rory continued, “Get away from me!”
With that, she walked to a corner and stayed as far away as possible from George as she looked at him vigilantly.
George looked exasperated in the beginning, but after seeing Rory’s actions, he couldn’t help smiling. “Didn’t you want me to get away from you? Why did you leave before I could even move?”
Rory glared at him furiously without replying to him.
Still not giving up, George took a tentative step. “I really meant what I said just now. I really am not that kind of person; I was just messing with you. Why don’t I buy you a meal as an apology?”
“Humph! There’s no need for that!” Rory rejected him without thinking twice. Even though her tone wasn’t quite friendly, she had the gentleness that most women had. “Do you think I don’t know that you are notorious? Just give up on trying to pollute my mind. I won’t give in easily!”
Everyone knew that George was known for his frivolousness.
Indeed, George’s smile faltered a little with bitterness in his eyes. “That’s just a facade I put on to appear flippant and wild. In reality, I’m not like that.”
There was sadness on his face as he explained, “I also don’t want to act like this, but…”
Rory had no idea whether it was because his emotions were too rich or whatnot, but her curiosity was piqued by him, and she couldn’t help looking at him.
“But what?”
George raised his head and looked at Rory’s cautious yet curious eyes. He couldn’t help himself from winking at her. “If you want to know, you can buy me a meal, then I’ll tell you.”
Upon hearing that, Rory immediately glared at him.
“I must have been out of my mind to think that you had some reasons behind that. On top of that, how dare you ask me to buy you a meal! Aren’t you embarrassed about that? You’re the Young Master of the Joe Group, while I’m just an ordinary employee. If I were to buy you a meal, it would take a few months’ worth of my salary! You’d better stay away from me!”
George was silent upon hearing that.
This girl has quite a temper, George thought. But why does she smile so gently whenever she’s facing Muzi?
Such a difference between her attitude made George quite uncomfortable, so he uttered, “Fine. I’ll buy you a meal instead. Are you going?”
Rory looked at him.
George added, “I’ll treat you to something nice.”

When Rory thought of crabs and lobsters, she couldn’t help from gulping.
She was someone who loved food. In the past, she had people who sent food to her table, but since she went abroad and lived alone, she often skipped meals.
Sometimes, when she was broke, she could only eat bread or make herself a bowl of noodle soup. Not only had she become thinner, she was almost malnutritioned.
Thinking of this, Rory shot a glance at George.
No, I can’t be tempted by his offer!
The man in front of me is known for his negative reputation. It was said that he has slept with many women. Now that he is inviting me, he must want me to pay him back using my body!
Thinking of this, Rory snorted coldly and directly spat, “If you think that I would be like those girls and sleep with you just because you bought me a meal, please stop your daydream right now and get lost.”
“What the hell?” When George heard that, he was confused. “Though I know that I have a bad rep, I don’t sleep with anybody, alright? For a young woman like you, it’s quite obvious you are inexperienced. On top of that, you are stubborn and strong. If I did anything to you, I would have a hell lot to suffer after that.”
George would only fool around with people who had the same thoughts as his, and they had all consented to it. People like them wouldn’t want to play around with young women who just graduated because those girls were stubborn and naive. If George had indeed done something to them, they would pester him to death.
