Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 747

This woman in front of me is different from those women who have been flirting with me recently. Her eyes are so sad when she looks at me; in fact, she isn’t nervous at all, and I feel it so profoundly.

“Help me…” Han Muzi was still begging him for help, but the despair in her gaze was even more prominent now. The man, who once could never bear even the idea of me suffering, is now just standing there watching me coldly. Could Su Jiu and Han Qing be right? Does he not recognize me anymore? But, why doesn’t he recognize me? Why?

Han Muzi yelled at the top of her lungs, “I don’t believe you! I don’t believe that you do not recognize me. Something must have gone wrong somewhere. You two had better let go of me!”

He saw her fair arms turning red with the two men gripping her tightly. The veins against Ye Moxuan’s temples throbbed, and his scowl deepened. He was just about to instruct them to let her go when another deep and gravelly male voice interjected, “Excuse me, but my younger sister has mistaken you for someone else. We will take her home now. Can you please let go of her?”

Both men who were grabbing Han Muzi realized that she was different from the rest of the women they had encountered so far. After glancing at Han Qing, they noticed that he was well-dressed, and he did not look like a swindler. Hence, the men let go of her.

Han Muzi was about to charge at Ye Moxuan upon her release, but Han Qing grabbed her arm unexpectedly. “Enough! Let’s go home!”

“Qing, let go of me! I have to get an answer out of him. Why doesn’t he recognize me? I don’t believe it… Something must have gone wrong. Qing, can you please help me? No, I don’t need your help. You need to let go of me. I’ll ask him in person.” She lost control of her emotions once again for Ye Moxuan’s sake. It was already unbearable for her after he did the switch in the car. Now that she realized that it was the truth, coupled with Ye Moxuan’s cold indifference, Han Muzi was very close to breaking down.

However, Han Qing was strong, and so he managed to stop her. She was rendered motionless and could not move any closer.

Han Qing looked up to meet Ye Moxuan’s gaze, and the latter was staring back at him as well. “I’m sorry. My sister has mistaken you for someone else. I apologize on her behalf for the inconvenience caused. Mister, I’m sure you can let this slide.”

Ye Moxuan remained silent. He smirked and waved his hand in the air in dismissal.

After that, Han Qing pulled Han Muzi away, but she wouldn’t budge. Instead, she struggled while staring at Ye Moxuan.

“Qing, let go of me. I have lots to ask him. You need to let go of me… Let go of me…” She was not as strong as Han Qing, and so she could only watch as Ye Moxuan walked farther away from her.

Ye Moxuan thought to himself, This woman must have mistaken me for someone else. Otherwise… she wouldn’t have acted so insanely in front of her own brother. However, what does this have to do with me? With that thought in mind, he turned around to leave. After walking for a while, he suddenly heard the woman’s sobs.

Ye Moxuan stopped dead in his tracks subconsciously, and he turned around reflexively. At a quick glance, he saw that the woman, who was holding back her tears all along just now, finally had tears streaming down her cheeks, and she was now sobbing uncontrollably. She kept screaming in denial. In the end, she must have fainted due to emotional exhaustion. Then, Ye Moxuan saw the man, who was supporting her, picked her up straight away and carried her into a car that was parked at the side.

“Young Master Xuan, what are you looking at?” someone asked him from behind.

Ye Moxuan snapped back to his senses upon hearing that, and he shook his head. “Nothing.” I’m not sure why I stared at that woman for such a long time. He pursed his lips together. I can’t seem to shake off the image of tears rolling down her beautiful eyes. Did she… really mistake me for someone else?

“By the way, Young Master Xuan, this is for you.” His subordinate handed him a piece of clean handkerchief.

Ye Moxuan scowled at him. “What is this for?”

His subordinate panicked. “Young Master Xuan, aren’t you particular about cleanliness? Usually, you’d feel uncomfortable if someone were to touch you, and you would usually need to disinfect. Did you forget that the woman held your hand just now?”

Ye Moxuan was stunned to silence when he heard that. That’s right. That woman held my hand earlier. However, I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. Instead, I even felt a tingling sensation that spread into my chest. It wasn’t just that. I even… took the initiative and twirled her hair between my fingers. That is not my usual behavior.

Ye Moxuan scowled while accepting the handkerchief. Then, he lowered his head and wiped his hands clean. The image of those pretty eyes crying filled his mind again, and it affected Ye Moxuan’s mood. He tossed the handkerchief to his subordinate and spat, “Take it away.”

“Okay.” His subordinate held onto the handkerchief. “Young Master Xuan, Old Master would like to see you now,” he announced respectfully.

Yuchi Jin? Ye Moxuan nodded. “I got it.”

A luxurious and ancient-looking building stood hidden in the luscious green bamboo forest. Yuchi Jin had bought this piece of land. As a Chinese, he expanded his business abroad, and so he instructed people to build this residence based on Chinese-style architecture. Yuchi Jin had supervised the construction in person, starting from the design, right up to the completed product.

No one would have expected for Yuchi Jin’s privately built residence to have a miniature bridge and a flowing stream. Even the entrance was the most traditional arched door. It did not stop there because the walkways were graveled paths, and there were weeds peeking between the pebbles. There were many plants and trees along the way, and it gave an illusion as if one was in a summer resort.

Yuchi Jin personally liked this style. Besides, he would always attend auctions for antiques. Anyone who knew Yuchi Jin would know that he loved antiques because he was also an antique collector.

A towering figure crossed the miniature bridge, and it walked along the pebbled walkway. Finally, it entered the house.

“Young Master Xuan, you are home. Old Master is waiting for you in the study.”

Despite living abroad, Yuchi Jin’s servants in the house were all Chinese. They were all old folks, whom he brought along with him, because they were people he trusted.

“Alright.” Ye Moxuan made his way to the study and knocked on the door. He was greeted with a stern voice. “Enter.”

After that, Ye Moxuan pushed the door open to enter the room. An old man holding a cane was seated on a mahogany couch while chatting with a man who was seated across him.

“Xuan, you are home.” Yuchi Jin pointed at the chair beside him, signaling Ye Moxuan to take a seat.

“Medical Director Hao is planning to return to China for a while. He is paying us a visit before he leaves to check on your recovery.”

Medical Director Hao had a cup of tea in his hand. He explained with a smile, “That’s right, my wife and child are in China, and I might stay for half a month this time. That is why I am here to check on your condition and recovery, Young Master Xuan. Do you… still feel dizzy lately?”

Ye Moxuan his lips together, but he shook his head. Previously, during the early stages after waking up, I would get a splitting headache and feel dizzy before losing consciousness when I tried recalling my lost memories. However, I have been calmer these days, and so I rarely feel dizzy anymore.
