As the ladies left, Yan was pulling Han Muzi. “You are just going to let her go that easily?”
Han Muzi glanced around. “Mentioning the dismissal was meant to frighten them, and to shut someone’s mouth.”
After the two sat down with their meal, Yan quietly glanced around their surroundings. She then lowered her voice and asked, “But do you plan to wait forever?”
After hearing that, Han Muzi paused for a moment before raising her eyes to look at Yan. She said nothing.
Yan was slightly frightened by her cold stare. She recoiled and explained, “Actually, I have no other meaning. I only wanted to know if this lack of news of him persists, are you planning to wait forever? And to keep on managing the company for him? If this continues, you are going to be really exhausted.”
“Yan.” Han Muzi suddenly called her name.
“Huh?”
For the first time, Han Muzi looked at Yan in all seriousness and listened to what she said.
“I won’t be waiting forever, because he will come back.”
As her gaze was firm, there was nothing Yan could say. She nodded and resumed eating.
To be honest, while waiting throughout this one month’s time, not only Yan but many felt something must have happened to Ye Moxuan in the plane accident and that he would not be able to come back.
However, only Han Muzi and Little Bean had strong faith that Ye Moxuan would eventually return, that his disappearance was only temporary.
Yan sighed internally and felt sorry as she glanced at Han Muzi who looked frailed.
How much determination does it take to have such a firm belief?
Suddenly, Yan thought to herself, Although I can’t be with Han Qing, I feel blessed as long as I can see him everyday, alive and healthy.
It was nothing like Han Muzi’s case; they were in love, but they couldn’t be together.
If anything really happened to Ye Moxuan, they would be permanently separated; one in heaven and the other on earth.
However, this was something Yan dared not mention in front of Han Muzi.
After the meal, they returned to their respective duties.
After the day’s work was done, Han Muzi had to drag her exhausted body home again. When she was about to lie down, she received a phone call from Su Jiu.
“Secretary Su?” Han Muzi was puzzled about what she could be needed for as it was after working hours.
“Miss Muzi, I have news that I needed to break to you.”
Her tone sounded solemn.
Han Muzi, who was feeling extremely tired at this moment, suddenly sat up straight when she heard the serious tone in Su Jiu’s voice.
It had already became a norm that Su Jiu had to call her daily for these few days, but she rarely talked to her in this serious manner.
Her heart was pounding at this moment; Han Muzi could feel her throat getting dry from the anticipation.
“What’s… the matter?”
Su Jiu was smiling at her end and her tone was then filled with joy. “Miss Muzi, we have located Young Master Ye.”
Han Muzi was stunned for a long while before she finally came back to her senses. She felt a wave of lightheadedness building up before her eyes, but fortunately, she did not pass out.
She was feeling greatly emotional upon receiving this piece of news, so she bit her bottom lip and held on to her phone tightly.
“Is what you said true?” After she finished the sentence, Han Muzi stood up abruptly. “Is he really found? Where was he found? Is he okay?”
“Miss Muzi, don’t worry. We have the updates now and it’s 80% accurate. However, there are some things we are unsure of. So… we might require you to head over there in person, Miss Muzi.”
Things that are uncertain?
“What is it?”
Su Jiu did not answer her question directly. She merely said, “President Han mentioned that according to your temperament, Miss Muzi, it would probably be impossible for you to wait overnight. Even if you were to wait, you wouldn’t be able to sleep. So, I have already arranged tonight’s flight ticket for you and Mr. Nan is already on his way to pick you up now.”
“Mr. Nan is already coming?”
“Yes. He will be at your place in about 20 minutes, so you still have some time to pack. By the way, you wouldn’t need to worry about Little Bean, Miss Muzi. He will be taken care of.”
She had Han Qing and Yan here, so Han Muzi wasn’t worried about Little Bean. Hence, she nodded in agreement.
“Well, you should go pack, Miss Muzi. I’ll hang up now.”
After she hung up, Han Muzi put down her phone, got up and went to pack her things.
When she opened her wardrobe to extract the luggage, Han Muzi’s hands trembled and the luggage fell off.
She froze for a few seconds before quickly proceeding to pack.
Although she had 20 minutes, Han Muzi only took several minutes to finish packing. She took her passport and left the house to wait outside.
Mr. Nan had yet to arrive at Seabay Villa. Han Muzi did not know how long she had been waiting until she finally saw Mr. Nan’s car.
“Mr. Nan!” Han Muzi felt overwhelmed when she saw Mr. Nan getting out of the car.
“Miss Muzi.” Mr. Nan smiled gently as he walked over. Instinctively, he took over the luggage in Han Muzi’s hands and placed it in the trunk while he said, “Mr. Han had asked me to pick you up for the airport and to also get you something to eat. I reckon that you have yet to take your dinner, Miss Muzi?”
Han Muzi shook her head, but she couldn’t care less about dinner. She looked at Mr. Nan and asked, “Mr. Nan, what Secretary Su said… Is it true?”
Up until now, her heart had not calmed down and she felt as if there were fireworks going off in her brain. The promise he whispered in her ear and countless flashbacks flooded her mind, as though she was having her life flashing through her eyes at the moment.
After Mr. Nan had settled the luggage, he raised his head and noticed that Han Muzi was looking at him with red eyes. He was soft-hearted, so he kindly said, “Miss Muzi, if it didn’t have a high probability, Secretary Su and President Han wouldn’t have bought you a flight ticket. So this is probably something good. Don’t feel bad, Miss Muzi. Hurry up and get in the car.”
Han Muzi was in a stupor, but she quickly returned to her senses.
Yeah, this should be a good thing.
Why should she be upset?
When she thought of this, Han Muzi instantly withdrew those tears that were welling up in her eyes. She allowed herself to break a smile and said gently, “Mr. Nan, you’re right. If they were not confident, my brother and Secretary Su would never have told me about it.”
“Shall we head over to the airport now?”
“Okay.”
Han Muzi nodded and hopped into the car with Mr. Nan.
After getting in the car, Mr. Nan looked at the navigation and asked, “It will probably take some time to get to the airport, but Mr. Han had already instructed that you should grab dinner first, so…”
“Mr. Nan, we can go straight to the airport. There are restaurants over there. I will simply look for one to grab dinner.”
“That’s fine too.”
Mr. Nan sent Han Muzi to the airport safely. When Han Muzi got out of the car, she spotted Su Jiu who was waiting for her at the roadside.
When she saw Han Muzi getting out of the car, Su Jiu sped up to help her with the luggage. “President Han is waiting for you inside.”
“Okay.”
Han Muzi followed Su Jiu to the security check. After they passed the security check, Su Jiu then took her to a restaurant.
Han Qing was sitting at the corner by the window; on the table was a notebook and a cup of hot coffee.
“You’re here.” Han Qing raised his gaze and before he was able to give a response, Han Muzi ran toward him and asked, “Qing, the news… Is it reliable?”
