Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 705

As soon as Han Muzi heard the worker, she went to examine the dress. After looking over it, she spotted one of the hems and a wide smile appeared on her face.

“Your designer is so skilled to design a style like this. Please thank her for me. This design has helped me tremendously.”

“You’re too kind, Miss Han. Your satisfaction with this dress is the best feedback for us.”

After thanking each other, the workers left the wedding dress behind and left. Han Muzi was still unsure about her pregnancy as she had not done a checkup yet. However, as their wedding day was approaching, she decided to get examined only after the wedding was over.

The days went by quickly. Soon, they finished decorating the wedding venue.

“You’re getting married the day after tomorrow, Muzi. Are you nervous?” Yan grabbed her hand nervously as she kneeled on one side of the bed.

“I’m the one who’s getting married, not you. What are you so nervous about?”

Yan smiled awkwardly. “Because… the day after tomorrow, your brother will be here too. Since I’m your bridesmaid, he will see me then. I’m so nervous… I want to doll myself up a bit more, but I don’t want to take the spotlight away from you. What do I do, Muzi?”

“I guess you were nervous for selfish reasons…”

Yan realized that her words were too straightforward. She bit her bottom lip and let out an awkward laugh. “Dear Muzi, you’re going to tie the knot with the person you love soon. As for me… nothing has even started to happen yet. So…”

“So you want to steal my spotlight?”

Yan shook her head in an instant. “No, I don’t mean to steal your spotlight. I know the bridesmaid always has to look more simple to complement the bride. It’s fine. I won’t do my makeup so you can shine more.”

“Alright, I get what you mean. It’s just Han Qing, isn’t it? Since you haven’t made any progress yet, I’ll have my make-up artist do your make-up on the day as well. You can also pick out your own bridesmaid dress.”

“Really?” Her eyes turned red. She was moved and hugged Han Muzi. “Muzi, you’re too nice to me. Don’t worry, I will succeed in chasing after your brother and be your sister-in-law! When I become your sister-in-law, I’ll treat you even better than your brother does.”

Han Muzi could not resist teasing her, “Are you saying that you’re treating me poorly now because you aren’t my sister-in-law?”

“Ugh.” Yan wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and could not continue.

“It’s fine. I’m just messing with you. Stop crying now and start getting ready.”

As they were getting married soon, it was customary that they did not see each other a day before the wedding. At the same time, Ye Moxuan had some business to take care of so he flew back to the country. Initially, Han Muzi had wanted to follow him, but eventually, she was stopped by Han Qing.

“You’re going to be a bride soon. Why do you want to run away with him? He’ll be back in time for the wedding tomorrow.”

“Can he make it by tomorrow, though? The plane ride takes so long.”

Han Qing glanced at her with a bleak expression. “He had arranged everything appropriately. Do you think he won’t make it?”

That was true. Recently, Ye Moxuan had taken it upon himself to make all the arrangements and did not even give her the chance to stress herself. But she knew the reason behind his actions. She had guessed that he felt indebted to her, so he wanted to give her a grand wedding—one that he planned himself.

Truthfully, Han Qing had been pleased with him in that aspect. He thought that Ye Moxuan would get someone to organize the wedding. But as it turned out, he had done most of it himself. That had surprised Han Qing more than the transfer-of-inheritance contract.

“Alright. You should go rest early so you’ll be in your best condition for the wedding tomorrow.”

“Mm.”

That night, Han Muzi had a deep sleep while Yan, who was beside her, did not. As Yan was afraid to wake Muzi, she grabbed her pillow and went over to the couch to sleep.

She was able to fall asleep in the early hours of the morning. Though, when it felt like she had just fallen asleep, she heard a knock on the door calling for the bride to wake up and get her makeup done and dress fitted. Immediately, Yan got up to wake Han Muzi up.

Han Muzi woke up with a fright when she saw Yan’s dark circles in front of her. “What happened to you? Your dark circles are so deep. How are you going to shine later?”

Yan was as depressed as an ostrich. “Don’t even mention it. I guess I was too nervous about showing myself in front of your brother today that I couldn’t sleep…” Then, Yan looked at her admiringly. “I suddenly feel like it’s good to be a pregnant woman. You were still able to sleep so well the night before your wedding.”

Han Muzi had nothing to counter that statement. After she got out of bed and washed up, she saw that she had received a WeChat message from Ye Moxuan on her phone. He had sent it at midnight to tell her that he had arrived at the airport and that he was going to give her an unforgettable wedding.

The corners of her lips curled into a smile as she read the message. After she was done, she kept her phone away.

At that moment, the stylist that was standing behind her let out several lines of compliments, telling her that she was so lucky to marry a man like him. She went on until Han Muzi started to blush.

Before it was time for her makeup, Yan brought over some food she had made. Once Han Muzi had filled her stomach slightly, she could not resist pulling her phone out to call Ye Moxuan. When she dialed his number, however, his phone was turned off.

He must still be on the plane. Han Muzi went to check his flight schedule and it was estimated that he would land in an hour. She then put her phone away. As she got up to go to the bathroom, she accidentally knocked over the glass of water that was on the table.

Smash! The glass shattered on the ground and sent pieces of shards flying everywhere. One of the pieces flew over and grazed her delicate leg.

“Ah!” the stylist cried out. “Miss Han, your leg is bleeding.”

“What happened?” Yan, who had been next door, ran over when she heard the noise. She happened to arrive right as the stylist cried out and her gaze fell on Han Muzi. As expected, Yan saw the cut on the surface of her fair leg, along with some blood.

“How did this happen?” The stylist’s assistant that followed behind Yan muttered without realizing, “It’s the wedding day. The sight of broken glass and spilled blood are an ill-omen.”

Yan’s expression changed, then she glanced at Han Muzi.

Expectedly, Han Muzi had also heard it. The color from her face and lips drained and became slightly pale.

“What are you rambling about? Muzi didn’t do it on purpose.” Yan turned around to glare at the stylist’s assistant, then quickly headed over. “Muzi, are you okay? Let me look at your wound.”

The stylist pulled her focus back and glared at the stylist’s assistant. “What are you on about? Hurry up and find something to clean up these shards.”

Dazed, Han Muzi remained standing where she was. Looking at all those pieces of broken glass shards, her eyelids started to twitch profusely again.
