Shen Qi froze on the spot, as did Ye Moxuan.
Neither of them expected this to happen.
Shen Qi’s lips trembled and looked at Ye Moxuan in front of her awkwardly. “I-I-I’m sorry…”
Ye Moxuan’s face turned livid, thereupon he gnashed his teeth while glaring at her.
“You’re sorry?” His words hardly came out through his gritted teeth. “Are you going to continue touching? When are you going to take your hand away?”
Shen Qi was at a loss for words. As he asked her, she could feel that the parts she was touching seemed to have some reaction because it started swelling.
She screamed loudly and immediately took her hands off his parts while staring at him with a blushed face.
“Pervert!” Her face was all red when she scolded him.
Ye Moxuan was speechless. Damn it! She is the one who touched my parts, and now she calls me a pervert?!
Ye Moxuan narrowed his slitted eyes and glared at her fiercely. “Who’s the pervert here?! I dare you to repeat it!”
Like a raging beast, his breath was full of ferociousness, and it was as if he would immediately pounce on his prey and tear it apart before it could escape.
Although there were times where Shen Qi would scold him, she hadn’t dared to cross the line or angered him. After being questioned by him, Shen Qi kept quiet while biting her lips in grievance as if she had just gotten the scolding of a lifetime.
“I-I-I’m just stating the truth!”
“Why are you stating the truth in such a cowardly tone then? So you’re saying I’m a pervert? Ha! We both know who touched my parts!”
Shen Qi defended herself, “I didn’t do it on purpose!”
“Who knows? You’re just the kind of woman who’d never admit it even if you did it on purpose! Am I wrong?”
“On purpose?” Shen Qi was offended, so she rebutted angrily, “It’s impossible for me to do that on purpose! After all, who on earth wants to touch you?”
Shen Qi turned her back to him after saying that. “It was all because you peeped when I was changing!” She was irritated by now.
She didn’t mean to start a fight, nor did she mean what she said.
Unexpectedly, Ye Moxuan sneered and said, “Oh? So you’re saying that, just because I accidentally saw you changing, you merely returned the favor?”
Exasperated, Shen Qi turned to face him and exclaimed, “What are you blabbering about? I’m not that kind of person!”
Knock! Knock! At that moment, someone knocked at the door. Shen Qi was stunned for a while and looked at the door.
“Qi, are you awake?” It was Han Xueyou’s voice coming from the other side of the door.
Xueyou? Why did she come upstairs?
Instantly, Shen Qi glanced at Ye Moxuan in a panic and saw his lips curl upward with an evil smile. Her heart sank nervously, and she quickly replied, “Xueyou, give me a second. I’ll be there in a jiffy!”
Shen Qi thought of what Ye Moxuan told her last night. I’ll definitely treat her nicely the next time she comes. Even a fool could guess the underlying meaning in those words. Ye Moxuan, you b*stard!
Shen Qi quickly grabbed her things and walked past Ye Moxuan to leave the room.
A cold voice came from behind. “It seems like your friend couldn’t wait any longer.”
Shen Qi immediately halted when she heard his words. She didn’t look back and said while biting her lower lip, “Xueyou is definitely not the kind of person you think she is! Please don’t judge others with that shallow mind of yours!”
“What a foolish woman,” Ye Moxuan sneered.
Shen Qi clenched her fists tight in anger. “Xueyou and I have been good friends for many years. I know she is not the kind of person you described her as! Ye Moxuan, you don’t have any friends, do you? How could you understand the need to defend a friend?” After saying that, Shen Qi quickly left the room without bothering how Ye Moxuan would react to her words.
When she opened the door, she saw Han Xueyou’s lovely face.
“Qi, you finally opened the door.” As soon as Han Xueyou saw Shen Qi opened the door, she put on a bright smile before attempting to enter the room.
Shen Qi’s expression changed at once. She then stood in front of Han Xueyou to stop her from entering the room before closing the door behind her.
“What’s wrong?” Han Xueyou was puzzled to see her actions. “Qi, aren’t you going to let me in?”
Listening to her question, Shen Qi couldn’t help but explain, “Ye Moxuan is in the room.”
“What’s wrong with that?” Han Xueyou smiled and said casually, “It’s not like we haven’t met each other before.”
Shen Qi subconsciously knitted her pretty brows. It seems that Han Xueyou is not afraid of Ye Moxuan at all. Can’t she feel his cold presence? As such, Shen Qi could only blink wordlessly.
Noticing the changes in Shen Qi’s expression, Han Xueyou realized she might have said something wrong, thereupon she explained, “Ah, I mean that since you’re here too, why should I be afraid of him?”
“But—”
“He’s human, not a beast. Why are you afraid of him, Qi?”
Han Xueyou got closer to Shen Qi and stared at her while saying that. As such, Shen Qi’s expression froze for a second. Han Xueyou should know why I’m afraid of him.
“Xueyou…”
“Alright, I’m here to meet you, not him. I don’t care much about him because I always ignore his existence anyway. Let’s go get breakfast!”
Hearing her suggestion, Shen Qi felt surprised. “You’re here so early in the morning just to bring me for breakfast?”
“Of course! I consulted your doctor yesterday. The doctor said that you’re too weak because you haven’t had a balanced and healthy diet since you were too busy working before this; that really pisses me off! Lin Jiang is such a b*stard who only knows how to bully you. How were you able to stay with him for two years? I shouldn’t have been persuaded by you and should’ve punched his face back then! If that’s the case, you wouldn’t have to suffer like this!”
Looking at how angry Han Xueyou was because of her, Shen Qi felt touched.
“It’s okay. The past is in the past.”
“That’s right. Has Ye Moxuan woken up yet? Let’s invite him to have breakfast together,” Han Xueyou suggested.
“I don’t think we should. He won’t join us for breakfast. Let’s go without him.”
Squeak! Just then, the room door was opened once again, and Ye Moxuan appeared in his wheelchair on his own. Shen Qi gaped in shock and held Han Xueyou’s hand tightly out of reflex.
“Xueyou, let’s go!”
“Good morning, Young Master Ye. Qi and I are going to get breakfast together. Would you like to join us?”
“Xueyou!” Shen Qi’s face turned pale, and she exclaimed in shock.
“What’s wrong?” Han Xueyou asked curiously when she saw Shen Qi having such a huge reaction.
Shen Qi bit her lower lip and said nervously, “W-W-We…”
“Alright.” While Shen Qi was speechless due to her nervousness, Ye Moxuan curled his lips and agreed to Han Xueyou.
Shen Qi’s eyes widened at that. This b*stard really agreed to eat breakfast with us!
“Great. Let’s go together then. I’ll drive.” Han Xueyou took out her car key from her bag and swung it to show Ye Moxuan. Her lips, which wore a bright red color lipstick today, curled up satisfyingly.
Shen Qi looked at them with mixed feelings. Realizing something, she walked to the back of Ye Moxuan and wanted to push his wheelchair. “I’ll help you then.”
Since he had agreed, it would be inappropriate for Shen Qi to explain more in front of Han Xueyou. She was afraid that Xueyou would misunderstand her if she were to react aggressively.
“Okay, I’ll go get my car and wait for you at the entrance. Take your time.”
Then, Han Xueyou quickened her steps and walked at the front. While pushing Ye Moxuan’s wheelchair, Shen Qi lowered her voice and asked, “What exactly are you planning to do?”
