When she had almost reached him, she suddenly thought of something and a hint of disappointment flashed across her beautiful eyes. After that, she also stopped walking when there was still a distance between them.
Ye Moxuan moved his lips as he looked at her with a conflicted expression.
There was a sarcastic smile on Han Muzi’s face. “If I hadn’t come looking for you, were you planning to avoid me forever?”
Ye Moxuan pressed his lips into a thin line and the cold expression was etched on his face.
“Is that right?” Han Muzi added, not wanting to give up. This was because she thought that since she had made the journey here, she needed to clear up any misunderstandings between them.
Ye Moxuan continued to look at her without uttering another word.
After they looked at each other for some time, Han Muzi said helplessly, “I know that I’m wrong to hide this from you for such a long time, but you don’t know the true reason behind my actions. There are many reasons behind this. When I knew about this back then, I wasn’t even sure about it because I had no idea that the man that night was you. Can’t you put yourself in my shoes for a moment? If I knew that man was you, I wouldn’t have to suffer so much after I married into the Ye Family.”
