Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 610

Frigidity?

Ye Moxuan was dumbfounded by this sudden accusation. However, Mr. Potbelly’s wife assumed she had hit a raw nerve and immediately continued to console him, “Don’t be discouraged. As long as you get the proper treatment, you will definitely make a full recovery.”

At that moment, his gaze remained in the far distance at Han Muzi who was still looking for something. The corners of his lips curled up into a slight smile.

He was frigid?

He snickered. It looked like he had been too easy on her so she still had the energy to slander him that way in front of someone else.

“Are you listening to me?” Mr. Potbelly’s wife analyzed his face, still deeply concerned.

Ye Moxuan glanced at her and pursed his lips while Mr. Potbelly blinked at him “You… really can’t get it up?”

Two pairs of inquisitive eyes shifted to look at Ye Moxuan, causing him to clench his teeth.

“I am a normal man,” he said through gritted teeth.

Mr. Potbelly blinked again. “You may think you’re normal. That was what our friend said too. But you don’t seem normal to other people.”

Mr. Potbelly’s wife nodded in agreement. “Exactly. You still need to go get it treated. Here, save this number in your phone.”

The vein in his forehead twitched as he said calmly, “No, thank you.”

“Don’t be modest now. Here, here.” Mr. Potbelly’s wife had practically forced his phone out of him and gawked as he put the number in. A smile then appeared on her face. “That’s right. If you’re ill, you have to be treated. The sooner you recover, the sooner things will start moving along again. Don’t you worry now. We’ve exchanged WeChat details so I’ll be sure to put in a few good words for you.”

Although he was disconcerted, her last offer would have greatly benefited him. “I don’t want to be a bother.”

“No, you’re not a bother at all.”

He chuckled then strode over to Han Muzi.

Mr. Potbelly and his wife stood where they were. With a dazed look on his face, Mr. Potbelly asked, “Dear, is it okay for us to be doing this?”

“What harm is there? Besides, we should help each other out as neighbors.”

“What if… she doesn’t want to be with him again?”

“You don’t understand a thing. Do you think I haven’t noticed the way they look at each other? As a woman, I understand another woman more than you do.”

“Oh.”

Han Muzi was struggling as she tried to reach for something on the shelf. The shelves were taller than her and she had not worn heels that day.

She had strained to stand on the tip of her toes but was still unable to get close to it. Then, a big hand reached up and effortlessly brought the item down for her.

She looked up and realized that it was Ye Moxuan.

“Do you want to buy this?” he asked.

She nodded. “Yes.”

He looked down at the round of her head, down to the back of her neck, and further to the faint marks he had left on there.

Despite leaving all those marks, she still thinks I’m frigid? He sneered. Then, he asked, “What did you talk to Mr. Potbelly’s wife about earlier?”

As she listened, her heart began to thump. She saw that Mr. Potbelly’s wife had murmured to him earlier as she walked away, but she was too far from them to have heard what was being said. Plus, she had always thought that it was rude to eavesdrop so she did not even try to listen to their conversation.

Now, however, his question had made her uneasy.

She did not even have the courage to look at him and only shook her head. “Nothing much.”

“Oh?” He smirked. Ye Moxuan leaned forward and hovered close to her lips. “If you didn’t say much, then why are you so nervous?”

His hot breath fell on her ears, making her shudder. “Am I?”

“Aren’t you?” he asked, then blew in her ear.

Surprised, she covered her ears. She stepped back and glared at him to find that he had a mischievous smile on his face.

She thought for a moment that perhaps Mr. Potbelly’s wife had already exposed their conversation to him. For someone with a light mouth, how could she have kept it to herself?

At the thought of that, Han Muzi was in despair.

She should have known better than to play along with Mr. Potbelly’s wife.

She chewed her bottom lip and said, “I’m not!” Then turned to walk off.

There were a bunch of people at the cashier counter. He had followed behind her and was thinking of ways to deal with her when they got home so she would no longer think he was frigid.

After all the items were checked out, Ye Moxuan pulled his focus back and brought out his wallet. He was about to tap his card down when another credit card appeared and tapped down before him.

Han Muzi was still tugging at her pocket to get some change out.

The sight of the two cards left her dumbfounded, and she raised her head up.

Ye Moxuan also looked up to see the owner of the other card. His pupils immediately dilated as he realized who it was.

The person who tapped his card was none other than Ye Linhan.

He had a sight smile on his face as he met Ye Moxuan’s cold eyes and said gently, “Moxuan, it’s been a while.”

Ye Moxuan was speechless.

Han Muzi thought she had gotten rid of that person but it turned out he was waiting there.

Did he just tap his card at the same time as Ye Moxuan? To make things more awkward, he had also been in the other line.

Mr. Potbelly and his wife had watched this whole scene from behind. Mr. Potbelly’s wife clicked her tongue and crossed her arms in front of her. “Is he trying to provoke him?”

Because Mr. Potbelly had been with Ye Moxuan the whole time, he did not know about Ye Linhan and their relationship, so he asked, “What’s the matter?”

“What else is there? The two rivals have come face-to-face.”

Rivals… Mr. Potbelly observed.

Besides him, the people around them had also watched that scene in curiosity. It was a case of a handsome man and beautiful woman except that there were two men instead with only one woman.

The onlookers typically craved good gossip material. The scene of two men fighting to pay for one woman had peaked their senses and attracted their attention, so much so that their eyes were glued at it and they had even disregarded the cashiers.

Ye Moxuan raised his eyebrow. All traces of a smile on his lips had disappeared and his eyes were flat. He moved a few inches forward, grabbed Han Muzi’s hand and pushed the card in her palm, then said in a low voice, “Good girl. Finish paying up and let’s go home.”

The way he acted made it seem as though he did not see Ye Linhan.

Ye Linhan’s pupils contracted behind his glasses; his fingers had gone white from holding on to the card. However, he proceeded to keep his card without any haste. “Not even a ‘hello’ to your big brother?”

Ye Moxuan grabbed Han Muzi’s hand and finished the payment. As soon as the cashier bagged all their items, he held onto her hand and glared at Ye Linhan. He scorned, “Big brother? You?”
