Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 602

He cared about her, and not about who she had been with.

Even though Ye Moxuan knew that she was once with that man, the fact that she was about to deliver his child drove him crazy with envy. Yet, he still wanted her.

He had waited for five years. No matter what, he was going to keep her by his side.

“Young Master? Young Master Ye?”

The sound of Xiao Su’s voice quickly brought him back to his senses. The moment he looked up, his eyes reflected a deep abyss with no end in sight.

“Young Master Ye, should I look up on the last five years where Young Lady Shen…”

“No,” Ye Moxuan refused in a resolute manner. “Never mind. Just do what I ordered you to do last time,” he said and ended the video call.

As he looked at the laptop screen, he thought about the shoes he saw on the rack that time.

He had yet… to meet the child.

How did this child, who she had with another man, look like?

If it were a boy, then would he look like her ex-husband?

The thought of the child standing before him with her ex-husband’s face made him clenched his fists until his bones produced cracking noises. Dammit!

He was going crazy with envy again. Why couldn’t this woman be his from start to end?

After a while, Ye Moxuan unclenched his fists. That’s fine. I’ll deal with this when we meet.

She had kept the child well-hidden for she was worried that he would not be able to accept it.

It was already the second day when Han Muzi woke up. The room was silent. She lay in bed, blinking her eyes for a while but nobody came in.

Did Ye Moxuan leave for work already?

At the thought of this, she threw off the blanket and got out of bed. Although her legs still felt weak and sore as she walked, it had gotten better since the day before.

When she walked to the door and opened it carefully to a tiny gap, she found that it was also quiet outside.

Han Muzi then opened the door and walked out to take a look around the house, but realized that there had been no one downstairs either.

Did Ye Moxuan go back already?

A feeling of emptiness began to grow in her heart, but it was quickly replaced by another type of emotion. She turned around and went into her room, then bent down and started searching for the pill bottle from the previous day.

She searched for a few minutes but still did not see any trace of the small pill bottle.

That was strange. Did he take it away when she was asleep?

She thought about it then returned to sit on her bedside and called Yan.

Yan teased her as soon as she answered the phone.

“Muzi, why weren’t you at work the past two days? Could it be that…” As Yan reached the end of the sentence, she let out a little giggle that irritated Han Muzi.

Han Muzi resisted the urge to roll her eyes and asked in a calm voice, “Are you at the company now? Do you have time?”

“I’m here. I should have some time. What’s the matter?”

“I- I need you to buy something for me. Can you do that?”

Yan blinked her eyes in oblivion. “Sure. What do you need? Should I bring it to you after work?”

“No.” Han Muzi shook her head firmly. “If you can, buy it and bring it to me now. I… can’t go out for the time being.”

Aside from potentially being followed if she went out, she was not in a state to leave the house.

Both of her legs felt weak and sore just after a few steps. She could forget about heading out to buy the pills.

“Oh. Is it not convenient for you? Is it that time of the month? I’ll just buy it now and bring it over to you.”

“It’s not that.” Han Muzi denied, shaking her head. She found it difficult to say out loud to Yan, but she did not have anyone else to ask for help.

Alas, she gritted her teeth and said bluntly, “I need some morning-after pills.”

“Sure, no problem. I’ll go get some… morning-after pills?? Muzi, what did you say?”

Han Muzi covered her face with her hand as she felt embarrassed.

“Morning-after pills,” she repeated again firmly.

“Morning-after pills? Why… Why do you need that? Did you and Ye Moxuan already…”

“Mm.”

Since she had let the cat out of the bag, there was no point in continuing to justify herself. She admitted to Yan right away and told her about everything that happened in those two days.

“I can only say this much for now but I don’t have much time. If it’s possible, I hope you can buy it for me now.”

The both of them were best friends. How could Yan refuse to help her?

“I’ll go get it now. You just wait for me at home.”

“Okay.”

Han Muzi nodded her head. Suddenly, she thought of something and pressed, “That’s right. If you bump into Ye Moxuan on your way here, remember not to get flustered. Just pretend you’re sending some documents to me.”

“No worries. I got it.”

After the call ended, Han Muzi held onto her phone and delved back into the covers.

She waited for about ten minutes, but it was still quiet. At once, she couldn’t help but become suspicious.

Did Ye Moxuan just let her go that easily? Had he not wanted to watch her for 24 hours? How was it that there was suddenly no trace of him anywhere?

Her suspicions were still there when Yan arrived at her place and entered her room as Ye Moxuan was still nowhere in sight.

“Muzi.” Yan stepped in the room with caution, then closed the door behind her. “I’m here.”

She looked at Yan, and it somehow did not feel true; she had not expected things to go that smoothly that it had left her astounded.

She pushed away the blanket and sat up nervously, looking at the space behind Yan.

“When you arrived, did you see Ye Moxuan?”

“Young Master Ye?” Yan stared and shook her head. “No, I didn’t.”

“You didn’t?” Han Muzi was beyond perplexed. This isn’t right. After saying all those things yesterday, he can’t possibly have given up already? He is not that kind of person.

She had a feeling that something was not right.

She glanced at Yan and noticed that her face was paler than normal; her lips seemed to be kind of pale as well.

“Are you alright?”

“Huh?” Yan was startled by Han Muzi’s sharp gaze and quickly straightened her back. “What about me?”

“Why is your face so pale? Are you ill?” Han Muzi asked, concerned.

Yan shook her head immediately. “No, I’m fine. I’m not sick.”

“Where’s the thing?”

Yan opened her purse and handed the small bottle that was inside to Han Muzi. “Here.”

Upon seeing the morning-after pills, Han Muzi’s face lit up. She hurriedly reached for the bottle but did not dare to take it right away. Instead, she hid it under her pillow.

From the side, Yan watched her with a troubled look.

“Is this the right thing to do?”

“It’s nothing bad. I just don’t want to have his child.”

“But Little Bean…”

At the mention of his name, Han Mizu’s expression changed. “Don’t bring him up. Remember what you promised me.”

“Don’t worry. I will take it to my grave.”
