Seeing as Shen Qi’s pale face was about to hit the front, Xiao Su wanted to get up and help her, but somebody else was faster than him.
Ye Moxuan reached out his arms and grabbed her thin shoulders, hugging her figure tightly. Then, he pulled her toward him in one fell swoop.
Her petite figure fell into his embrace. When Xiao Su, who was sitting in front, saw this, the words that were about to leave his mouth disappeared in that instant.
“To the hospital!” the man behind him ordered in a cold manner.
“Okay!”
Shen Qi did not faint. The only thing was that her consciousness was a little bit hazy as she had endured the pain for quite some time. She thought that she would hit her head. Who knew that a huge pair of hands would seize her and pulled her into a broad yet cold embrace.
Shen Qi lifted her head and noticed Ye Moxuan’s firm lower jaw as well as his beautiful, obvious Adam’s apple. Although he exuded a cold aura around him, he made her feel safe.
He did it again…
He helped her again. Did he intend to say some hurtful words after he helped her?
When she thought about this, Shen Qi reached out her hands to push Ye Moxuan away. “I don’t need your concern!”
She did not have much strength in the first place, and coupled with the fact that she was sick, she couldn’t muster much strength. As such, she wasn’t able to get Ye Moxuan away from her with that push.
“Why are you making such a fuss?” Although Ye Moxuan wasn’t particularly affected by her push, he was unhappy with her actions and her tone of voice.
“I don’t need your concern!” Previously, she had been in extreme pain, hence she was in a daze when she was helped into the car. This time, since she was lying in his embrace, the cold aura that he exuded managed to clear her mind.
Just then, her phone rang again. When she thought about the fact that Han Xueyou might have arrived, she opened her mouth and said, “I want to get out of the car!”
When he heard this, Ye Moxuan’s handsome brows knitted together as he fixed his cold gaze upon her.
“What did you say?”
His gaze was sharp and stern as it fell onto her face like a knife. Shen Qi was stunned, but she bit her lower lip stubbornly. “I am just an outsider to you, right? Since I am an outsider, then please let me get down from the car. My business has nothing to do with you.”
Xiao Su and the driver, who were sitting in front, were speechless.
Second Young Lady, do you think it’s alright to act in this manner? How dare you say those kinds of words to Young Master Ye? You really are… very brave.
As expected, the temperature in the car dropped abruptly.
“What did you say?”
Shen Qi bit her bottom lip and felt his powerful aura enveloping her; there was nowhere for her to escape.
Should I repeat it again? Shen Qi lifted her gaze and noticed that Ye Moxuan’s eyes were full of hostility, as if he could strangle her neck without any hesitation and kill her if she were to repeat her sentence again.
After thinking about it, Shen Qi did not repeat her sentence. On the other hand, she asked him, “Does it make a difference? I am not a recorder! In short, I just want to get out of the car!”
Ye Moxuan did not move at all.
“I want to get out of the car!” Shen Qi emphasized her words with determination.
The next second, Ye Moxuan pinched her chin with his fingers, and his force was so strong that it almost crushed her bones.
“If you cause any more ruckus here, believe me, I will throw you out of the car. By then, both you and your child can forget about living anymore.”
When she heard this, Shen Qi’s pale face turned even paler as her lips trembled. “Ye Moxuan, you are the Devil!”
Ye Moxuan smirked. “Devil? I really regret allowing you to keep that illegitimate child of yours. I can’t believe that you would still protect the child of a cowardly man like him! Are you dumb or something?”
Shen Qi bit her bottom lip; that child wasn’t Lin Jiang’s to begin with.
However, she did not know how to explain this to Ye Moxuan as she did not know who the father of her child was. Nevertheless, she was so pissed in that instant that she screamed at Ye Moxuan, “You don’t know anything!”
When Shen Qi was finally quiet, her phone rang again. Ye Moxuan’s gaze paused for a moment. Who is this person? Why did he or she care so much about her?
As Shen Qi bent forward and picked up her phone, Ye Moxuan released his grip on her.
“Hello?”
“Qi? I have reached the entrance of your company. Where are you? How is your condition? I’m really sorry; I was stuck in traffic just now.”
In the quiet car, the worry in that woman’s voice could be heard clearly.
When he heard a woman’s voice, Ye Moxuan did not bother her anymore.
“I’m fine. I am currently on my way to the hospital.” As she said that, Shen Qi weakly wiped away the cold sweat from her forehead.
Ye Moxuan snorted coldly. She’s in such pain, yet she still told her she’s fine?!
“Really? Did you hail a cab?”
“I will explain it to you later. I’m sorry to make you come here for nothing.”
“What are friends for? There is nothing to be sorry about. You can give me a call later.”
“Okay.”
The person at the other end of the phone had Shen Qi confirmed countless times that she was fine before she hung up the phone with a peace of mind.
Shen Qi kept her phone. Then, she fell back limply and collapsed onto her seat, while subconsciously stroking her tummy with her hand.
The pain is unbearable…

About 15 minutes later, the car stopped outside the hospital.
“Young Master Ye, Assistant Shen, we have reached the hospital.”
The woman who was seated there did not move at all.
Ye Moxuan frowned. “Get out of the car quickly.”
However, Shen Qi did not react at all. Xiao Su turned to take a look before he opened his mouth cautiously and said, “Young Master Ye, I think… she fainted.”
What?! Ye Moxuan’s eyebrow twitched. This damned woman! Wasn’t she fine just now? How did she pass out in just a short while?
A few minutes later, Shen Qi was placed on a stretcher and carried into the hospital. Then, she was sent into the emergency room.
Xiao Su pushed Ye Moxuan, who was sitting in the wheelchair, to the emergency room and waited outside. Then, he said, “I hope Assistant Shen is fine.”
Nobody answered him, but Xiao Su did not seem to feel bored as he continued, “I suddenly remembered that Assistant Shen has been holding her abdomen until now. Could it be that something happened to her child? By the way, didn’t she have some alcohol last night? I don’t think she should be drinking when she is pregnant.”
When he heard this, Ye Moxuan frowned.
‘Don’t think’?! She shouldn’t be drinking at all!
“But I think Assistant Shen had a lot to drink last night…” At this point, Xiao Su gulped subconsciously as he looked at Ye Moxuan who was in front of him.
Ye Moxuan raised his eyebrows, thereupon he exuded a cold aura. “Is your mouth that idle?”
When he heard this, Xiao Su covered his mouth subconsciously and shook his head vigorously.
Ye Moxuan closed his eyes and said, “Call me when they are done.”
“Young Master Ye, do we still have to wait here? Don’t you want to go back first?”
The vein on Ye Moxuan’s forehead started to pulsate. “Do you want the doctor to be unable to find anybody here after he comes out?”
After he thought about it, Xiao Su nodded his head. “You’re right. Then, we should wait here.”
The minutes ticked by. Finally, the doors to the emergency room opened, and the doctor walked out while taking off his mask. “Who here is Shen Qi’s family member?”
Xiao Su immediately raised his hand and pointed toward Ye Moxuan.
The doctor looked unhappy when he cast his gaze upon him. “I take it you are her husband? Her fetus condition is unstable and she had too much to drink! Do you not want this child anymore?”
Ye Moxuan frowned. What does this have anything to do with me?
“Moreover, her abdomen has been hurting for quite some time already. Why did you only bring her to the hospital now?”
