It was the same restaurant because it was near to Han Muzi’s company and Ye Moxuan wasn’t in the mood to pick another restaurant. Hence, he decided to meet Lin Qingqing in the same restaurant that they met.
Ye Moxuan’s charming image always turned him into the center of attention wherever he went. He had shown up at the restaurant two to three times, so the staff who worked there recognized him. Now that they saw him again, the staff hid behind the counter and started gossiping in hushed tones.
Lin Qingqing was rather upset when she saw that. She was well aware of how dazzling Ye Moxuan was. That was why she was so upset when she saw that he was the center of attention. She felt utterly regretful that Han Muzi had robbed her of such an outstanding man, and not to mention that she was the one who invited Han Muzi over. Why wasn’t I more guarded previously, seeing that he is such an outstanding man? I should have known he would have made any woman’s heart flutter!
Lin Qingqing glanced at the man, who was sitting across her, when she thought of that. He took the initiative to ask her out; despite her anxiety, she wasn’t happy at all because she wasn’t sure what Ye Moxuan wanted to tell her.
Lin Qingqing had no choice but to gaze agonizingly at the man across the table while biting her lower lip nervously. “M-Moxuan, you…”
Upon hearing her voice, Ye Moxuan looked up at her with a steely gaze. He stared at her sharply while stating, “Miss Lin, I don’t think we are close enough to be on a first-name basis.” His words were as cold and ruthless as before, his tone void of warmth and emotions.
Lin Qingqing felt her heart sink, but she bit her lower lip before asking, “Isn’t this a blind date? What is wrong if I address you by your first name?”
Ye Moxuan gave her a mocking look when he heard that, and his fingers drummed against the table absentmindedly. “That’s right, we are on a blind date, but haven’t you noticed how I’ve addressed you, Miss Lin? Didn’t I tell you from the very beginning when we first met? You are obviously not my type.”
Lin Qingqing’s face turned even paler. This man is blatantly saying such things to my face. I wish the ground would just swallow me up! However… the harsher he treats me, the deeper I find myself entangled in this web of love. I know I’m asking for it, but I truly am very in love with him.
Lin Qingqing bit her lower lip so forcefully that she almost drew blood, and she was fidgeting so hard underneath the table that her nails punctured her fingertips. The piercing pain made her clear-headed. The hatred and jealousy spread rapidly throughout her body like wildfire while she glared at Ye Moxuan. “It’s because of her, isn’t it?”
Ye Moxuan frowned deeply.
“Why?” Lin Qingqing accused him in frustration, “I am the one going on blind dates with you, but why do you treat her differently? What’s so great about her?”
Ye Moxuan pursed his lips while regarding her coldly. His gaze looked like he was staring at a mere stranger.
Why? I’ve been on so many blind dates with him, but he’s still staring at me like I’m a total stranger. Yet, he hugged and even picked that woman up at the press conference.
“What is the reason? How am I not as good as her? What’s wrong with me? Can’t you tell me? I can improve according to your preferences.”
Ye Moxuan chuckled mirthlessly when he heard that. “Miss Lin, you might have misunderstood something. She has something that you don’t. Hence, you should stop wasting your efforts.”
“What is it?” Lin Qingqing hissed while biting her lip, “What does she have that I don’t?”
“I asked you out today to clear things up with you. Stop harassing her in the future!”
Upon hearing that, Lin Qingqing finally realized what this was about. She stared at the ruthless man in shock before smirking at him. “I see. So she complained to you, huh? Such a narrow-minded woman! Do you like that type of woman? Do you know that she already has a—”
Before she could finish her sentence, Ye Moxuan stood up abruptly and cut her off with an icy voice, “I fancy narrow-minded women. What are you going to do about it? Miss Lin, it’s better for women to at least have some self-respect.” He scanned the surroundings after saying that. His thin lips were alluring, but his words were void of emotions. “If I find out that you harass her once again, don’t blame me for making a move against the Lin Family.” After his warning, Ye Moxuan gave her a pointed look before turning around to leave the restaurant.
Lin Qingqing sat stunned on her seat in silence, and she felt a chill running down her spine. I didn’t expect Ye Moxuan to be so in love with Han Muzi in such a short time. I thought I’d still stand a chance, but… why is he doing this?”
Lin Qingqing couldn’t stop herself when she thought of that. Then, she grabbed her handbag and chased after him. “Ye Moxuan!” She chased after him and arrived at the parking lot. She then glared angrily at his back. “What is it that she has but I don’t?”
“You don’t deserve to know.” Ye Moxuan wasn’t even planning to tell her that. He got into the car after saying that, and drove off, leaving Lin Qingqing standing alone on the spot.
After a while, Lin Qingqing balled her fists in resentment while hissing through gritted teeth, “Han Muzi, I will not let you off the hook!!! Do you think you can retreat right after snatching away my man? Dream on! I, Lin Qingqing, am not a pushover!”

“Achoo!” Han Muzi sneezed twice in the middle of a meeting.
The group was stunned to silence, whereas Yan glanced at her anxiously. “Are you alright? Did you catch a cold?”
Han Muzi rubbed her nose while shaking her head. She responded with a faint smile. “I’m fine, let’s continue discussing the plans for this week.” However, she was rather distressed. Why did I sneeze twice for no reason?
After the meeting, Yan approached Han Muzi when she was arranging her documents. “A sneeze indicates that someone is missing you, whereas two sneezes mean someone is cursing you.”
Han Muzi paused what she was doing when she heard that. Then, she glanced at Yan before asking her incredulously, “Since when do you believe in such things?” With that, she picked her files up and walked out. Yan grabbed her things and rushed after her hastily.
“Because it’s fun! Am I not allowed to even mention it? Besides, I think my sixth sense is rather accurate. Maybe Lin Qingqing is cursing you behind your back.”
Han Muzi was rendered speechless by her response.
“Don’t you have another enemy other than Lin Qingqing? The girl called Zhao Yiru.”
Han Muzi paused for a while before continuing to move forward. She had a resigned look across her face. Who would have thought I would offend two different people within such a short time after returning home? First, Zhao Yiru, then Lin Qingqing. Although I’m not worried that they might do anything to me… these are all potential troubles. I’m not even sure how Ye Moxuan is planning to handle the matter. I wonder if he could resolve it smoothly without having anything backfire on me.
However, the reality proved that Ye Moxuan did not handle it well despite claiming that he would. In the afternoon, Lin Qingqing dropped by to make a scene again. Only this time, she was not alone—she had brought several friends with her.
“Miss Han, all of them love the work you did for Xinghuo. It just so happened that I know you, so I brought them over. I hope you wouldn’t mind.”
